Thanks!!! 😊😊😊 yess !! currently working on a series on less-known stories from Mahabharata and then we will be coming back with another series on post-Mauryan history!!
During his initial days Ashoka was very cruel, and is believed to have killed his half brothers in order to get throne. As a result he began to be called as a Chand Ashoka, meaning Brutal Ashoka.
Though the torture chamber was meant to punish prisoners, Ashoka had made a rule that even if an innocent, unsuspecting person stepped into the Hell, s/he should not walk out alive. The Hell was helmed by Girika, who had won the unenviable job, after slaying his parent
Yes! And there is a very interesting story that after becoming Dhamma Ashok, he went to the chamber to shut it down. As he entered, Girika said that now he will have to kill Ashok. Then Ashok said but Giriika himself had entered the chamber first and how was he still alive? With that logic, Ashok first put Girika to death and then got the chambers shut down
Wow!!! 😊😊😊😊 That's so nice to know!! please convey our thanks to your ma'am and also feel free to let us know any other topics that you would like us to make animations about 🙂🙂🙂🙂 We will be very happy to create that!
Yesss! Definitely we would be making Hindi dubs of these stories (including some stories that we missed in English version). We will comment back here once they are done 🙂🙂🙂
sorry to say sir, but the video on ashoka is only based on buddhism's perspective. The chanda ashoka name was given by buddhist monk but without any eyewitness and proof, how could you say that his wrath burnt all his families and kingdom. As you also see the positive side of Ashoka so, how could you exaggerate the history of ashoka. Please show his positive side and other religion perspective also in your video. It might be more helpful to student like us. Thank you!
Hi Khushi! Yes! We have shown the positive side of him in our next episode of the same series! 😀😀 Please do check it out! Link to it: ua-cam.com/video/n9n5qFEU_WQ/v-deo.html
Yep,u r right, only Buddhist texts state that he was an extremely cruel ruler and later became an extremely compassionate ruler, that’s not true,he was just another great king of India and we should respect him, like we rely on multiple sources for other kings and empires we should also rely on multiple sources for Ashoks behaviour, anyway he was a great ruler
What you think he could be first propogandist of history. He did brutality on kalinga and try to make himself innocent through scriptures and rock edicts.( Like he became peaceful after Kalinga war)
Yes that's one theory! Because why would a king renounce violence only after all his main rivals and enemies were defeated! But in any case, he was the first king to advocate cessation of wars in History and his efforts in promoting Buddhism thereafter has impacted the course of World History dramatically, especially of the far east.

Hi! Please do watch the next episode in the series to see how he transformed into a really good, benevolent and peace promoting emperor! 🙂🙂 Visit the channel the find that video
I actually can't believe he slaughtered them and he killed his own brother ertugrul ghhazi is the best ruler for me it's my opinion how can ashoka kill his own brother !!!
In case of Ashok , his unique greatness is that he was probably the first king (and perhaps the only one until modern times) to renounce war publicly and that too, being among the most strongest of kings.
Actually we refered to the Ashokavadana for creating this video. It could be fictional account but it is the oldest that we have available on Ashoka apart from his edicts
This channel is just spreading false propaganda. Ashoka was very brilliant emperor and he would never take stupid actions. A stupid king never gets the title of Ashoka the great. The name clears everything alone 😂. Don't fool us.
You're right Aman ji! These tales are based on Ashokavadana, the earliest literature we have related to Ashoka. Also, in the next parts we see the transition of Cruel Ashoka to Ashoka the righteous!
