How to wear a kilt 5 different ways. This video the coaches show you varying (and some comical) ways to wear a kilt from the more traditional right through to their own preferred method ;)
Wearing a kilt feels fantastic and if you ever visit scotland you'll want to purchase one for yourself whether it be a utility kilt or a more traditional wear for special occasions. This video is a 'how to' for each style of kilt.

Yeah it can be a stress on your wedding day if you don’t have your buddies around to help etc and if you are hungover and in a hurry 😂
This isn’t really Traditional. Traditional would be the 10ftish long length of wool plaid pleated up and folded over a belt then put on. Must be put on lying on the floor/ground. Just saying.
My last name is German Jew, so I figured that was my heraldry lay. I took the DNA test and found to my surprise I’m 32% Scottish. 30% British, 22% Ashkenazi Jew and about 10% Eastern Germanic. I’ve been a faithful fan of your programme mates, but now I’m trying to learn the nuances at being a Scotsman.

On the length of a kilt, men wear them at the knee, little boys wear them above the knee. If it's below the knee, well, then you're just braggin'

Top of the knee or middle is good for men, women with a kilted skirt generally a bit above the knee or a bit lower than the knee is best for a feminine look

Kilts are a statement! My dad dressed me in a kilt for the first time when I was 8 years old to attend a family event on the Isle of Man. I have enjoyed wearing them ever since and quite often wear full dress kilt for black-tie events instead of my tux. I have also wear it casually at times just for the hell of it. Cheers guys!

Tip...put the shirt on first, it's easier than tucking the shirt in after you've buckled up the kilt.
That’s what we normally do when putting on our kilt but for the sake of keeping things PG we opted for the kilt first this time.
or just forgo the shirt, unless you have to wear one :)

What makes it so fantastic is there are literally endless different ways to wear it from different jackets, waistcoats and sporrans,
I bought mine two days ago. I enjoy wearing it much more than traditional pants. I got a few looks on me while buying groceries. But I have metalhead clothing in general. Looks really great with that.
Believe it or not, I actually liked this segment. Although, I liked the traditional wear the best. There is something about traditional dress that is still important and the look it gives. Thank you for posting this segment. Keep it going.

I much prefer the much more useful and less formal Great Kilt. Mine is 8 yards of tartan. I have two different weight great kilts. One for Spring and Summer. One for Fall and Winter. Actually i have 4 of them 2 of each weight material. I do not wear them without my knitted wool "shorts." because I need the support.
I imagine you look just as handsome in yours as the boys do here.
i was hoping they would wear a great kilt here. showing how they fold it and the different variations of wearing it. i think this traditional piece of clothing is so interesting and beautiful (and it can be used as a blanket at the same time)... can women wear kilt too? or is it only for men?

Most guys here will wear the traditional look to formal events especially weddings. Though formal daywear looks a bit different to evening wear.

I did a variation on the Green Lantern costume for a convention...but it was Celtic not Scot, I wore a black kilt with a green lantern tee shirt and I made my own sporran and I even made a shillelagh with a glowing orb that I used to charge my ring in place of the traditional Green Lantern power battery.

I'm not familiar with this channel, I'm not even sure why this came up on my feed. What I do know is that men in kilts are a pleasure to look at, and #5 ended waaay too soon because men out of kilts are a pleasure to look at too. Hahaha.
