@Schroatlebob That puts a stopper on my latest theory. See, it turns out that fire does not have to be directly touching flammable objects to catch fire, and in fact, the range between the wooden floor and walls, and the fire are short enough that they should catch fire, however if Netherrack doesn't spread fire, then this is impossible. Maybe a stray Ghast from the Nethergate? It has happened before.
It was from the Herobrine, it happened to me and friend. We built two tree houses and one wooden house and a few hours later, fire just started out of no where. I guessed that it was Herobrine from reading posts of forums of people complaining about their house suddenly burning down. I don't think it's fair how we pay for Minecraft and Notch plays with us, burning down our houses that we put hours of work into.
@Schroatlebob Problem is, it's difficult to see whether the glass wall between the fire and the room is built on top of a wooden floor. If it is, it's highly likely that the burning netherrack may have somehow incinerated the floor beneath the glass wall.
I can't see how the house could have started burning, and the fireplace is an unlikely suspect, as it looks like it is burning Netherstone which does not spread fire (Probably because otherwise, a single Ghast fireball could set the entire Nether on fire (Or the lava, for that matter). Are the sides of the Netherstone in direct contact with the wooden floor? If it is, it might be possible that a glitch could have spread the fire from the netherstone to the floor, despite it all.
@killerRampage100 I obviously didn't burn it on purpose and I never did find they exact cause of the fire but, the fire place is an easy target to blame.
Police: So you had about 100 torches surrounding the your wooden house, and you have no idea how the fire started?
Gabriel: Yeah, no clue.

You must have no wood within a few blocks of a fire or it spreads like, well, wildfire.

@DigitalXMedia Nethergates are not flammable, and thus completely irrelevant. It is a mystery...
