Texas Tech's perimeter defenders not allowing the offense to penetrate the middle of the floor. Their defensive positioning pushes the ball toward the baseline.
I actually started this similar defense in 2018 with my youth travel teams. I took Virginia's packline defense and reversed it, where it was a no middle defense. I would also have my center as rim protector, since most opposing centers can't shoot outside. We also stood in front of the cutters and forces them away from the basket to further disrupt the other teams offense.
