Honestly I think this is my favorite alternate unit yet
This isn't because of the Kaiju that it is or how powerful it is but it's specifically the fact that it specifically counters high-cost units
It allows this guy to be powerful enough to take on heavy hitters but not be unstoppable because a strong low-cost unit will still take Kiryu
It makes it so that more people will use some of the better lower-cost units but not get rid of high cost units entirely which is perfect
I adore this Kiryu, I got him on the first special expedition and he has been very useful to me. by the way, you forgot to mention Destoroyah and Keizer Ghidorah, who also have 7 energy costs. All of they are equally used by many players and Kiryu Kai is excellent for all of them

Said this during the stream, when he changes to drillarm to attack he does only target ground units, but if a flier is in the piercing area of the attack they do get hit as far as I noticed
So like MG21 when he gets to the Missle phase?

The green ammo meter reminds me of Kiryu's gimmick in Giga Bash.
Tbh I added this Kiryu to my team and he's been working wonders. However the tech vs Gearth is really helpful.
As avid user of spacegodzilla, destoryah, and minus one combo, i can agree that he shreads my lvl 11 destoryah, taking everything else with it
What i learned from this video is minus one is a hard counter for H.A.T. just nuked him every time.

This is the Kiryu that I liked. Tokyo S.O.S was my first experience with Kiryu, and Kiryu Kai evo is absolutely a flop at representing him. I hope they don't introduce any more counters to Earth, though. He's been getting hammered for months, and I really don't think he's that massive of a threat anymore, just a skill check unit.
Now, as for the downsides, I'm pretty sure that punch has piercing (which could be a bug), but I haven't seen it enough to know. Also, I really hope Toho allows us to get this one for free, because this game is still not worth the penny.

Hey melee in the description of hat it states that hat does more damage when there’s a 7+cost on the field does that mean he more damage to everyone or just the 7 cost units
I think it's everyone until the 7-cost dies but I could be wrong.
