This really reminds me of a show that was called Solitary. It seems like no one remembers it and how insane it was. You should make a video on it!
Solitary was a great watch, lots of psychological tactics used by special forces to acclimate soldiers to REALLY shitty conditions. Some people broke and reforged themselves and it was cool seeing them triumph. Also miss The Colony as fake as it was cause the setting was cool!
