Pedro Soares I’m still tweaking the details. But I was distracted a little and started modifying the Attract Mode and SFML libraries to get what I want. Theme should be finished in a week or 2 with customisable light and dark mode.
This is great, I'm working on something similar but has anyone managed to have a smooth scrolling carrier with a "grid" layout? Mine is not bad but still not as smooth as with a single thumb line :/ P.S: not having a smoothing filter I used a workaround pre-smoothing my thumbs :D
I added a category "blursnaps" to my mame configuration in Attract Mode, and then added an artwork on the background of my theme getting the "blursnaps" artwork category. In this category I blurred my snapshots (static of course) using XNView batch processing. It's a trick, I know, but it works in my setup because I'm not going to add more games to my library. Also I put two background images to have blurred background crossfade
You can see the effect here drive.google.com/file/d/1WtqDl0R_ic1HWDt9-5tNWuSAppD1dXe7/view?usp=sharing the single step scrolling is smooth (usng "next page" to jump) but it stutters when you get to speed. I'm thinking of rewriting carrier again but I'm probably missing something :D
SSD, that should not be the bottleneck... I noticed that using carrier.nut when I jump pages (instead of going to next/prev game) there's a sort of delay

Impressive work! Been waiting for this aswell. Looks alot like the RetroFE theme that never was released but much better imo.
