With that said there is one thing they got right, unlike the first civil war, America can't be divided along any established geographic lines. Polarization and division is in every state, every home, and every room now.
That is how all civil wars are to a point. The 1861 US war was not as cleanly divided as you may imagine. For instance Maryland stayed in the Union and WVa was founded in violation of the Constitution because Lincoln had thousands of key separatists arrested w/o habeas corpus when he took office. Many secession votes were close in 1860 and 61. There were several counties that stayed loyal and waited till the end of the war to speak up and join up. Every southern state had Union volunteer Regiments. Tennessee had more than some northern states. Same in the US Revolution which was a civil war and colonial independence war. Well, when you have a right-wing that willingly follows a man like the person Donald Trump has become, sometimes satire can eventually become reality, simply because fake news used to be called "tabloids" & only the mentally-unstable & clinically-insane believed any of that. Nowadays, it's called "news" by rightists. The truth is, stupidity & ignorance by rightists/conservatives/Republicans is what causes such bad & dark times for this world. Ever wonder why Republican-controlled states are trying to ban history books? They fear that, if children learn about how the right used to be, that'll be convincing enough for more people to open their eyes & mind, and that will eventually end the right-wing's grip on politics.
The state of liberty isn’t the damn constitution or any other founding document. Nor was it ever the reality. Mass immigration was very very limited prior to the 1960’s; with the images act being done purely to get more people to buy land out west and settle it. And even then, outside migrate were tightly vetted and were 90%+ native Europeans.
For some reason I thought this was West Wing. EDIT: for those wanting to find it, the UA-cam channel AAAirsoft Media has the full thing uploaded. Wow! this is like yesterday!
To give you an idea how prophetic this movie is, this movie was designed to be a satirical comedy about xenophobia and right wing hysteria...Not so funny 20 years later....
what the fuck? it also make fun CNN (NN) and liberals. i mean, rhode island in the movie has become a chinese province, it isn't hysteria if they got a point. the president just said to let a million people in to steal election and said "*our* are siding with farley (the governor)". it makes fun of both parts
Nutnack Yes, both sides can be very hysterical and crazy. This movie is actually very smart
Right wing Hysteria? The left gets their panties in a wad when they can't decide what bathroom to use. Now that's hysterical!
Unbelievable,you got that right!!
I remember when Dan Quayle misspelled potato. And how we said, surely conservatives can't get any dumber than Dan Quayle. It looks like conservatives took that statement as a challenge.
This looks epic

At ease, Sergeant
Fuck you, sir.
As goofy as this is, at least it has the courage to say what the second civil war is actually about, unlike the A24 movie
Only hazing memory from this is that it was somehow Rhode Island that was the second State crossing the red line into defiance to the federal system
Still better then civil war
Extremely inaccurate. We would never target the statue of liberty lol
It was in retaliation for the Mexicans destroying the Alamo
I would. It’s the symbol of the ‘muh melting pot’ idolization that’s taken over the USA. And was never true to begin with.
Anybody know where I can get this movie?
On UA-cam, it's a good watch. Mirrors today.
#THEBILLOFRIGHTS --it's knocking at the DOOR 🚪 THE WAR BETWEEN GOOD n BAD, which side are YOU ON?
Way better than that dumpster fire A24 made.
This is like a ps1 cutscene 😂 I love it
I remember seeing this as a kid
I like how everyone is chewing the set.
anyone after Civil War 2024?
What movie is this it looks good.
"Second Civil War"

Guess this was supposed to be a comedy...It certainly was to me.
Sheeesh
This is how it begins!
Jan6 was actually how it begins. It was more even more ridiculous and comedic than this movie.
That is just how fast the SWHTF and things fall apart, especially today.
I knew this movie was out there i was trying to recall the name due to the new movie
Shocking how many people see this as prophetic. We aren't even close (in fact, since the pandemic, we've been on shoring manufacturing significantly). And if we were actually all that close, 1/6/21 would've kicked off way more problems than it did...despite the admittedly heavy problems we had.
This comment didn't age well, lol.
Uhh u don't see the national guard going against the white house?
Well when you have Texas national guard in a stand off with federal border agents and Biden threating them to disperse and the governor saying to the president to piss off
All over a border immigration crisis
This movie comes in mind ya know
When leftoids try to predict the future LMAO FAIL.
This is what happens when you start grouping people by race
No, this is what happens when you live in multicult hell
@@stavechurch9973 No, this is what happens when you have a section of society that is unwilling to embrace inevitable cultural integration.
The only ones fighting what is an inevitable multicultural society are the xenophobic ones.
6:17 just brilliant 🤣
😂 wow I remember watching this.
"Remember the Alamode!"
Never forgor ✊😖
Well the green guys have a Sherman tank and Annie Oakley, so they're probably the good guys???
Damn I have to watch this!
Welp.
This was made by a blue-pilled liberal who made fun of the "crazy right wing conspiracy theorists." Now it predicts the future. Same with the Simpsons, but even moreso, because this movie is more hippy-assed.
Predictive programming sometimes made in satire other times well you get the picture
They fear that, if children learn about how the right used to be, that'll be convincing enough for more people to open their eyes & mind, and that will eventually end the right-wing's grip on politics.
better than civil war 2024
Free Texas
This is like the scenes in between the gameplay on Red Alert 3
Were not a fucking homeless shelter for anybody to just walts up in here.
the statue of liberty says otherwise
That was added years later after the statue was constructed on Ellis Island.@sudmuck
I can’t figure out if this is a comedy or not?
When it was made in'97, it was a comedy. Now, in 2024, it looks more accurate with current politics
@@TrickiVicBB71 And it just the beginning.
For some reason I thought this was West Wing.
EDIT: for those wanting to find it, the UA-cam channel AAAirsoft Media has the full thing uploaded.
This is the description:
The Second Civil War is a satirical black comedy television film directed by Joe Dante for the HBO cable television network, first aired on March 15, 1997. The film details the build-up to an ethnically-fueled civil war in an alternate future United States as a result of unsustainably excessive immigration, political self-interest, and ratings-pursuing news media.
