Utterly charming. A case study in a) imbuing a home with your own personality and b) why pre-war NYC apartments are so coveted by designers and architects
Yesssss. PreWar has CHARACTER for days! I grew up in a pre-war apartment in Brooklyn complete with crown moldings high ceilings, French Doors, little niches. I really miss that apartment . My mom decorated it very mid-century modern. So I have a real appreciation for the past the Hollywood regency the modern I'm very eclectic. It was a walk-through so it felt like that was your whole house... Definitely a lot of room to create and breathe. I have four sisters and we all most all had a room. There was more than enough room for us. That's the kind of thing I'm looking for if I were to get my own house; but I am in New York... who knows what that could cost today! LOL
Here in England, this apartment looks like home from home, she’s captured a truly genuine English vibe. It looks like they’ve lived there for years (in a good way) and inherited everything, not bought it, it does not look like the usual desperate designer’s showcase, everything is perfect, just fits together naturally, every surface contains a surprise and something to think about. I love that they let the animals roam freely and scratch the velvet, that’s the most English thing of all.
'It looks like they’ve lived there for years (in a good way) and inherited everything, not bought it, it does not look like the usual desperate designer’s showcase'
I have watched so many Homeworthy tours and this is the closest to my personal style. I also got rid of 3 doors as it was just too much. I also love curtains and skirted tables. The kitchen is great, our kitchen has a lot of black too. Really fab, comfortable space that is uniquely her own, full of vintage pieces and some new ones.
Chic, chic, chic. Love what she has done in their space. No way I would have been brave enough to do that dark kitchen, but it is wonderful. And the bedroom fabrics are perfection!
This is by far the dreamiest apartment I have ever seen in New York City. I'm just in love with everything she has done. Another wonderful video! Thank you, you have made my Saturday morning! ❤️
Oh my goodness......I ADORE this woman's style!!! She has such a gift and a wonderful eye for design! ( Her apartment could be it's own coffee table book!!) I love how she combines classic and timeless pieces with her own personal whimsy and flare. Thank you for sharing such inspiring talent!!! 💕🏡👍
It’s clear people *live* in this space. So different than the all-white MCM spaces we typically see so often. This place is filled with careful, thoughtful touches
What a beautiful, cozy, very personal space she has created. I love it with all of the special touches, love the art, the little animals sprinkled throughout, the colors she has chosen and most of all---those massive casement windows in the living room! Spectacular. Well done!
wow. this style isn't my own taste but I love the thoughtfulness and ingenuity (and all the odes to and spaces for animals/pets!). the living room especially is incredible. lots of ideas and I'm definitely feeling inspired.
.....Anyone that moves the Sofa with them, for thier sweet pet has my vote. ( and even if it's a little bit big for the room). I found this to be one of the best videos of yours that I have watched.. ; she's not pretentious, she's not snobbish... she doesn't come off as " everything in her apartment has to be perfect. " I loved that Gateleg table... it's inspired me to get one ! There was just something about the whole feel of that space, particularly her Lounge that is just so inviting and it reminds you of somewhere in England or Scotland and that alone speaks volumes. The fact that she didn't touch a 1926 fireplace again...tells you that she values things with a History.... ; people always want to " modernize everything " and make it look ugly and take away the character ....this place is just so sweet! I'm not a fan of black kitchens but they did a beautiful job on it... I prefer white kitchens and I just think it makes everything feel fresh and bright, but again, that's personal preference. And how many people have painted their own bathroom their self , and the beams .... not that many unless they are real creative type that really enjoys that . ...Usually have somebody come in and do it... I commend her. Beautiful place.
Love everything about this. Fearless and flawless use of fabrics, prints, and books. Wonderful to see a younger New York carry this off so well. So much detail. This is not easy!
This is my favorite home y’all’ve toured. I find the use of traditional furniture tones (i.e.: mahogany, walnut) combined with black-framed artwork to be very elegant.
Your videos just keep getting better and better. I love that you let the homeowner take the time to give us a full tour with explanations of their treasures and design process. LOVE this one! It's beautiful and that doggy is adorable!
Just the most gorgeous homely apartment I've ever seen, such interesting and beautiful pieces, love that the owners don't follow trends, just fill it with things they love
It's so nice to see a home with personality! I love all of the fabrics and her artwork is beautiful too. She must have had the patience of a saint and a very steady hand to paint that bathroom!
These tours are truly “bingeworthy”! I love how perfectly imperfect her home is. She and her mom in law(?) have a wonderful eye for what will work, incorporating her own taste and utilizing the space she has to work with so beautifully. Love the English decor and the small spaces creativity!
What a visual delight in all the shades of green, so fresh and welcoming. Hannah is so talented and love her painted touches on the ceiling, and use of pattern with her fabric choices. So sweet all the cats living there too!
Omgosh Hannah is absolutely beautiful and amazingly creative. I am in awe ❤ how she managed to decorate this tiny mansion and at the same time have room for her three cats and dogs 🐕 ❤, herself and her husband wao wao wao. I am totally inspired now. Hugs from Riverdale, Bronx NYC 💖
What a gorgeous apartment!! I could move in tomorrow - this is the style I love and it’s so refreshing to see interest and layers after so many minimalist apartments, with light or white furniture and no character . You can tell that his is a curated space with collections which are important to the owners .
So beautiful beautiful! Love all the animals throughout! The live ones too! Adorable! Love all the windows, especially the living room and the dining table with the fireplace! It looks so warm and inviting! English country cozy!
There is just something about saturated jewel tones in these older NYC apartments that just sings to my heart. I live in a very bright house on a wooded lot in a semi rural area of PA and I love it…….BUT, I am also in love with this space. The “green room” is my favorite. I love those Norwegian boxes. As stated……..it just feels like a Woody Allen movie 🎥❤️
This is the second time I've watched this Homeworthy clip... I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it... Love the colors and the patterns and of course the lovely home owner! Just absolutely precious...
This is exquisitely beautiful!! I absolutely adore how they create a welcomed home for the kitties and corgi. I love decorating with animal objects as well. The kitchen is my fave of this home.
Brilliant, SO cosy, personal, creative and full of character. So wonderful that she created it , it's not a boring, impersonal space designed by someone else. A really beautiful home ❤ The green room, the table in front of the fire in winter, the jazz playlist...love it all
Hannah and I have so much in common but I am not an architect! I adored her love of animals, the colour green, the use of antique "brown" furniture, her love of books.... She has her own style and that is great to see!! The only thing is I don't know how she is able to have those tablecloths on the tables with small figurines without them being knocked over by the cats. What is the trick? I have had so many vases and nice items smashed to the floor because the cats jump on the table and then often bring the tablecloth down with them.
Yes!! starting with the foyer. Who wouldn't walk in and immediately bump into the table with that large dried flower arrangement catching onto their clothing while knocking over the lovely little tchotchkes? Maybe I just have klutzy friends. How would anyone remove their coat? Curtains between rooms seem cozy until you live with them. Very impractical especially with cats clawing onto everything & cat hair EVERYWHERE ! Imagine the garbage that inadvertently gets wiped onto the curtains "hiding" the trash receptacles. Lovely "looking" apartment, but some of us require much more freedom of movement (and I am I small person).
What a lovely thing it is to have a multi-level apartment. It adds such architectural interest. Also, the arched doorway is lovely. Not a fan of the green color in that room (though that may just be a minor quibble), but I do love her ceramics, especially the blue and white ginger jars. Still an A+ overall look: very elegant yet effortlessly whimsical and 'homey.' I would hire her to decorate my apartment in a heartbeat!
Am noticing so many people on these house tours videos favor such loud & unnatural shades of green! Must be the "fashion". She mentions needing soothing colors in the bedroom (as do I) yet she has that rather garish yellow print. Where does the eye go to rest?
I've probably watched this apartment tour 100 times😂 I just find it so interesting...all the pieces throughout their apartment..they all mean something special. Lots of furniture and yet do-able to live with. Awesome!
A lady that has a beautiful home that happily incorporates her pets. Why shouldn't her furbbies enjoy the furniture the same as humans do. I struggle to find room on my couch with my three dogs and we have one cat who owns us and a multitude of ferrets so it's great to see that having pets doesn't stop you having a gorgeous home
I loooove your home. The gate leg table is beautiful. It has been a treat looking at all your beautiful things. I also love your personality. It suits your wonderful home. Thank you.
Love these classic old Manhattan apartments with the arches, wood floors and casement windows. I'm more of a minimalist yet find this apartment so cozy with everything in it.
Wow. This is a style I would never have chosen myself for a home, but it's beautiful and it's made all the better by seeing how much effort she has put into it herself rather than just dropping a ton of money to have someone else do it. I hope to have a home I can feel as proud of someday!
I loved this tour SO much! The combination of vintage, new and hand decorated made this space unique and so welcoming. It's the type of space I would feel instantly comfortable in, whilst looking around (in awe!) at its beauty. PS The green study/TV room was fabulous!
I’m going back and re watching a lot of the older Homeworthy episodes. I always loved this one so much. I love a lot of the older episodes. I enjoy the shorter ones, 30 mins or less, vs the ones now that are an hour or even longer.
I just love how she decorated the apt .It is so interesting and cool .I am a lover of all antiques and so this really gave me some ideas how to redo our space. Love it !!
I'm a minimalist but default, I'd love to be able to have an eclectic, maximalist space, I just don't know how. Yours is beautiful, warm, full of color (love the green!), everything has a story, being surrounded by all these objects mean something to you and you didn't just click on a website and order everything in one day. You talk about the place not being perfect, the cats and the dog (he's cuuuuuute) living there too, they seat on furniture, nap, sleep, and they mess things up sometimes, and that's ok. My favorite picks: The antique slide The green crapaud chair with the ottoman in the tv room Everything in the kitchen! the radis is adorable!
I LOVE so many things about this tour- the green velvet sofas, the black framed windows, the arrangement of pics, the fireplace, the gorgeous materials used, the bold colors in small spaces, the antique furniture and I love that you dare to have that many animals in an apartment- I’d love to know your secret hiding place for the kitty litter? We all have issues with that one. Thanks, for this amazing and lovely tour!
What a beautiful apartment. You have so many lovely pieces. Most people who have so many pieces like you have their apartment looks like an antique store but your home is inviting and lovely.Very cozy.Howdy from Texas. God bless.
❤ the vibe of the apartment! Especially the kitchen! Next on her list should be to find another space for the garbage cans! That space would make a lovely pantry! I have a small galley kitchen! So I am always looking for ways to store more items! My townhouse has 20 foot ceilings so I am alwAys challenged with vertical space upstairs and downstairs! Just love her space!
Beautiful place and so homey. Never would have thought of a black kitchen - love the toile fabrics. Envy the green sofas and the bathroom walls - so much variety and all flows together so well.
Beautiful pre war apt with a sunken in living room, great windows and herring bone floors. Like the mix of expensive and inexpensive finishes and has two bathrooms. Talented lady with great taste
Really a unique and cozy aesthetic. I loved all the animals (both living and tchotchkes), the color, and just the unique POV that is not trendy but really represents these particular people living in the house. Nice!
She moved the sofa for the dog! She’s a lovely person. Great space.
I really liked her. She was not at all pretentious like so many of the home guides are. I like her love and use of green.
So true- she was so personal and enjoyable to listen to. Her home was just beautiful
I love 💗
I love that she isn’t afraid to use print and colour in tiny spaces.
I agree- it really improved the kitchen- so pretty
There wasn’t a single thing in her house that wasn’t absolutely exquisite. This was the design inspiration that I needed!
Utterly charming. A case study in a) imbuing a home with your own personality and b) why pre-war NYC apartments are so coveted by designers and architects

Love her, her outfit, her fearless decorating projects, her IKEA bookshelves...pretty much everything! Thanks!
I love everything! Also I need those pants!!! Wish they had her tell of her ootd as well!!!
So classy without being pretentious! Love all of it!

I’m always fascinated by these NYC apartments; love her collection and DIY projects. What a talented individual!

Finally someone else who has torn up furniture from the cats!! And for some reason it works!! 😊

I love how real this gal is. She is very successful in life but without the attitude of superiority.
wow. this style isn't my own taste but I love the thoughtfulness and ingenuity (and all the odes to and spaces for animals/pets!). the living room especially is incredible. lots of ideas and I'm definitely feeling inspired.
This is dreamy and cosy. The windows in winter must be heavenly.

Thank you for being such a loyal viewer!!!
Hannah is every bit as beautiful and charming as her apartment, but that's a given as our homes are a reflection of who we are
A lovely, well curated home with loads of individuality and style. And they brought the dog's bed along, how divine.
Hannah is adorable and her apartment is charming and unique, such a breath of fresh air!
Very comfortable apartment, just love how cozy it is, and the animals make it all the better, thank you for sharing your lovely home....
She is lovely, Love the way she takes care of her animals, she is great at designing
Just the most gorgeous homely apartment I've ever seen, such interesting and beautiful pieces, love that the owners don't follow trends, just fill it with things they love
Tasteful, calming, well balanced, just lovely. Feels like a beautiful European hotel room. Lots of personality. Thank u for sharing.
It's so nice to see a home with personality! I love all of the fabrics and her artwork is beautiful too. She must have had the patience of a saint and a very steady hand to paint that bathroom!
I love this apartment. Beautifully decorated! Love all the animals, the real ones and the ones in the decor.
Your combination of elegance and comfort and love of animals fills my heart and soul. Thanks for letting us in ❤️❤️❤️
A stunning house. Really beautiful. And full marks to Ms Rutherfoord for being a fellow Folio Society devotee!
Thank you for the video.
Hannah is adorable and her style is impeccable!!
These tours are truly “bingeworthy”! I love how perfectly imperfect her home is. She and her mom in law(?) have a wonderful eye for what will work, incorporating her own taste and utilizing the space she has to work with so beautifully. Love the English decor and the small spaces creativity!
Absolutely divine! Eclectic and unique, yet still remains elegant and not overwhelming. I love this apartment!

Oh, my…I’m so in love with this apartment!! She has captured my idea of the perfect style.
1 of my favorite home tours!! I love everything about it! Hearing her talk about the items in her home, was so entertaining.

Totally agree, really enjoyed the refreshing diversion from minimalist overkill!! Lol
So beautiful beautiful! Love all the animals throughout! The live ones too! Adorable! Love all the windows, especially the living room and the dining table with the fireplace! It looks so warm and inviting! English country cozy!
Finally, an apartment that utilizes “brown” furniture. Thank goodness!
we're only allowed one thumbs up, otherwise I would give it ten, could not agree more
Absolutely
Amen
Best comment I read in a long time!!!!
Love it !
Such a beautiful warm, inviting, elegant home!
I love her spirit, I would love to see her architectural work. Such a nice lady.

I was also compelled to rewatch this captivating video 😍
She has added so much charm to an already great apartment in NYC🥂
The bathroom is perfect as it is. The painting work is fantastic! Great home.
What a beautiful home. So cozy and well put together to reflect the personality of the home owners. Love it.
This is exquisitely beautiful!! I absolutely adore how they create a welcomed home for the kitties and corgi. I love decorating with animal objects as well. The kitchen is my fave of this home.
Love the vibes in this home. So beautiful and cozy.
She's so darling. Love everything she did. You just can't go wrong when your style is truly all about things you love.

maybe she uses Museum Wax.
we use that for earthquakes here.

@@TubeTorte Really?
I absolutely adore this home! Hannah has impeccable style. Thank you for sharing.
I loved her AC cover hack and what she did to the kitchen! 😎
Just beautiful and inspiring! Nothing like a New York apartment!!! She is so talented!!
This is why I love homeworthy who would have thought a black kitchen would be that cute 😍. The kitchen was it for me
Beautiful home i especelly love her pets and the cozy library
What an ABSOLUTELY charming Home... Love the space and the presentation was just PERFECT!!! Fabulous view too...
20 seconds in and I already saved this video. So beautiful 😍
This is the ultimate boutique house. Her design style is inspiring for small space living.
I love her house, so very pretty 🤩
What a lovely thing it is to have a multi-level apartment. It adds such architectural interest. Also, the arched doorway is lovely. Not a fan of the green color in that room (though that may just be a minor quibble), but I do love her ceramics, especially the blue and white ginger jars. Yaaaay….a maximalist. Love love love.
Wow i love her space! She really changed my mind about the color green, it looks beautiful
Wow. She is so creative. I love the apartment. Love the use of greens.
I think this was my favorite episode to date. Thank you!
beautiful interior and love that you live with three cats and a dog!
I've probably watched this apartment tour 100 times😂
I just find it so interesting...all the pieces throughout their apartment..they all mean something special.
Ferrols not ferrets 😆
I loooove your home.
The gate leg table is beautiful.
It has been a treat looking at all your beautiful things. I also love your personality. It suits your wonderful home. Thank you.
It does. She exudes that old world, grace and class.
I watched this twice so far. Loved everything. Green with envy.
This is the third or fourth time I've watched this. She is adorable and has such a great sense of design and scale, obviously.
I’m going back and re watching a lot of the older Homeworthy episodes. I always loved this one so much. I love a lot of the older episodes. I enjoy the shorter ones, 30 mins or less, vs the ones now that are an hour or even longer.

My favorite picks:
The antique slide
The green crapaud chair with the ottoman in the tv room
Everything in the kitchen! the radis is adorable!
She’s adorable and I could listen to her talk all day!
In love. You are lovely and so very talented, Hannah! Your home is fabulous. Thank you for sharing.
Well done! Everything is so charming, beautiful and cozy.
I love it. Good Job LADY! I also love that they are pet people and nothing is perfect....well that is what makes the space so cool.
I loved her home, her style and all her fur babies. Too cute! ❤️
So cool to see. Especially love pic of girl and bird over fireplace, and green picture over sofa. How sweet the art history slide.
Really a unique and cozy aesthetic. I loved all the animals (both living and tchotchkes), the color, and just the unique POV that is not trendy but really represents these particular people living in the house. Nice!
What a great, talented lady! Loved her enthusiasm and willingness to create her desires!
What a cozy and beautiful home. 👌🥰I loved all the details✨ Perfect!
