After dragging and drop the audio clip to midi instrument rack .. its showing nothing .."but it showing audio to midi conversion will take some time" but then nothing ... no notes or nothing! Can you help me with this
The part of Cakewalk that does this is the Melodyne demo that's included in the install...Cakewalk will only convert audio to midi while the demo is active, or if you buy the Melodyne software after the demo expires... I have melodyne installed, nothing happens when I drag the audio clip into the midi track. It prompts me to ask what algorithm I want to use, the progress bar at the top does some stuff, then nothing.

Ableton does this very well ... They started getting good at it in version 9... You can drag any sample in it and it will convert it pretty good... Not completely but really close not like Cakewalk.. If its single notes it seems to pick it up really good it even does chords.
Thank you for this. You have helped me to decide that learning to play the actual track on a midi instrument is preferable. All the audio editing required is boring and not what I got into music for. I REALLY wish it worked better and I envy music producers in the future when this technology is not so tricky and you can hum brilliant songs into a computer. For now though. I just have to learn the hard way.
it's quite a speed rap. and hard to see whats going on exactly. i got it yesterday then today cant make it work at all. will have to look for a more methodical youtube on this.
Appears to me that one has to pay for this to even work, since this rely on a add-on that's not (fully) included on the free version of Cakewalk? Are there any alternatives? I just wanted to make an memy remix of a friggin Simpsons clip using autotune for gods sake.
That no longer works, from the new melodine update only gives the Player version that is adornment and for this it does not serve. You have to download the 30-day demo or pay the $ 700 from the plugin so that it is.-
More than the automatic conversion looks be not so reliable, can you explain me how can a user find the single instruments audio Tracks? You had to have the original multitrack recordings which are impossible to obtain from the record major, unless you are a dear friend to the artist!
This tutorial its based on Cakewalk my friend! I'm sure that others DAWs should make the same thing. But you'll need to watch videos based on that specid DAW, such as Pro Tool or Logic, for instance.
I don't see melodyne as an option under reigon fx. I am new to this DAW and I wonder if it's because I'm running it on Linux with Wine. Any advice is appreciated ;)

I've tried that and there's no convert to midi, left click, and nothing happens, when you make a tutorial please include EVERYTHING you do including EVERY click made and to which menu you're using. Didn't work. It goes through the process but the midi track remains empty. The original track is just an audio click track.
Do I need to activate Melodyne by paying in order to convert audio to midi? I tried on mine but nothing happens.

This is crap! This doesn't work at all and I have the latest version of Melodyne installed and registered on my Windows 10 system!
