You take two candles. Both have a t0- mod you want, a trash mod you don't care about, and a similar mod you are using for the mutation or upgrade. By using that mutation/upgrade you are limiting the candle to 4 choose 2 instead of 6 choose 3. That gives you a 1/6 chance to hit double t0 mod instead of a 1/24. If the similar mod on both candles is a t1, you gamble for a 3rd t0 mod.
You dont have to do t1's for the mutation. I just used that t1 for cheap and easy candles to for this video. You can also use two t2s or t3s whatever is available on the t0s you are trying to merge into.

yes, the negative mods associated with the t0 are also transferred.

Ya, grudge candles are a random rare result from fusing two t1 or t0 candles.
So both bases are t0 mod you want, mutation mod, bonus mod you want to drop?
correct, 1 desired t0 mod, 1 mod for mutation/upgrade, and 1 trash mod on each candle.

Yes, you can use t2s and try for the t1 upgrade. That's what I usually so and how I make my double t0 candles every season.

grudge is a random result. this is for fusing a grudge candle with another t0 mod

Did they nerf t1 candle drop rate from last reason? I remember they use to drop a lot but now it does not
Yes. I do not have an exact reason but it might be due to city being ilvl85 but 8-0 is ilvl86. City is locked to t7.
Is it worth it to push Aeterna? I've been getting so much profit from canvas, so it's hard to do anything else - haha.
The guy I know doing city has made bank but he also has fused 14 grudge candles this season...
