Dr. Octagon is the album/cd that turned me on to Kool Keith. In 1996 I bought it from Music Land / Sam Goody in the mall just because I loved the cover and it really peaked my interest. At the time I just turned 16 and all the $$$ I made went to my car, speakers, system, & CDs. I remember I kinda forgot about Kool Keith after this album until like the year 2000. I missed buying Kool Keith’s 2nd major release solo “Black Elvis” in 1998 1999? I bought Esham’s “Tongues” album in 2000 and Kool Keith was all over that album and Esham & Kool Keith were like Kool Aid & Sugar on albums, they paired perfectly. Anyway, MY ALL TIME FAVORITE Kool Keith Album was released in late 2000 or early 2001, I can’t remember, but that album SPANKMASTER released under Eaham’s Record Label along with TVT Records. Produced all by Kool Keith, Esham, & Santos. It’s definitely my top 10 favorite albums ever. It’s highly slept on but also takes me back to my early 20’s, making great $, nice cars, & good friends hanging in clubs all weekend blowing your paycheck partying and bumping this album all night! Great memories.
