I really liked the way Collin talked from the first time. I have the feeling that Collin is very sociable and easy to approach when interacting with local people. As a Vietnamese, I really appreciate Collin's sincere words: "As Americans, why don't you try teaching English in Vietnam, giving Vietnamese children the opportunity to use English to develop their knowledge and skills"

Is it okay to opt out of licensure while pursuing the Bachelor's Degree? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes because we will complete the TEFL in Vietnam. Just wanting to make sure.
@@mattd3826 da lat was nice in 2008 to 2012, but they did to much construction and it's now more less a city with nature around it. And while cooler die to mount as ins its dry, no chill wind. Dak lak, and pleiku are more nature, huge lakes, mountains and weather is nice. Esp at night.
I’ve been to Da Lat twice. After 1 night at Da Lat I was ready to get out because I was getting bored …night market was ok and it gets boring there after awhile
Why half of the teachers who graduated TEFL no longer work and decided to leave? Is the pay really bad since he mentioned he works at 2 different schools
There are various personal reasons for why people decide to stay or leave. Some stay for a one year contract, then move on to other things. It's not because the pay is bad that people sometimes work at multiple schools, it's a matter of scheduling (when and where classes are available). You can often get enough hours to live comfortably from one school though, so it's not always necessary. You can watch our video on salaries in Vietnam for more info.
Because it’s a shit show the teaching the country the people, why do u think nearly all of the foreigners that do stay long term live in Expat area, hardly have any Vietnamese friends and don’t speak the language? That should answer your question….
When you leave VN and come back to your country. You will have with you: 2 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of underwear, 1 pairs of shoes, $600 dollars. What a bright future ahead. Should considering VN is your home. When getting old will see
We’re always welcome foreigners coming here. Our only concern is they will drive up inflation. And Please, don’t bring the crazy American tipping culture here.
Is there anyway you can teach without a bachelors or is it a 100% requirement no work around? Asking because getting one in America is a looooot of money 🥲
Just because you speak English does not mean you can teach it. Majority of Brits don't know the difference between verbs and adverbs, adjectives, conjunctions, pronouns, etc.

Take the next leap, buy or build a house. Its life changing.
It is impossible for foreigner to own a house in Viêtnam, they only can own an apartment
@@tuananhtranhuu nope, I built and own a house. But yes, I am one of a very few. Most own apartments.
Da lat is ok. Hiring atm. Saw an ad this week 1500 to 2k... but for me da lat dosen't hold a candlestick vs dak lak, or lao cai.
What do you like about those places over Da Lat? Just wondering, as I am going to be in the country soon. Thanks!

Is it true that there are a lot of scammers in vietnam? Do you have any experience getting scammed?
How can you get scammed if ask for the price first. Just use common sense and do your homework well if you intend to visit.
