Love how you promote a local area’s culture and food even when you don’t have the time to stop and explore every place. I also picked up a pair of gaiters that go over boots and up to mid-calf. The work great in the rain and during cold weather!
I love your vid`s Staci! Smiling, positive, fun and history lessons. I have to have dinner ready though, because i get HUNGRY watching you and all that food you present us! Keep up the great work! 😊😊
If you get a chance to get back to Alabama, try the BBQ in Decatur Alabama. Big Bob Gibsons. Amazing. Try the white sauce. Im from that area but live in Biloxi now so this video was awesome for me on a couple of levels. Ride safe.
You make the best motorcycle travel videos I just love these keep up the great work be safe out there hope you make it through Illinois or Milwaukee for the Harley events this year I hear lots of UA-camrs will be there
were gonna be down that way on our yearly bike trip, was wanting to go to Mongomery because of the Hank Sr. sights, might have to add that bbq joint in because we are going to the Skynryd monument, and hell, thats on the way! lol. thanks for the recommendation!!
Next time you go through the MS gulf coast area try the chicken and potato salad at the shed. I am no fan of potato salad but I will drive out of my way for there’s.
Girl, I can feel myself gaining weight just watching you eat! My riding recommendation: Gulf Coast Tour, around the FL panhandle Gulf front, Emerald Coast scenic Highway 30A, through the "forgotten coast" camping in Appalachicola National Forest, tour Big Bend of Florida coastline to pristine beaches south of Cedar Key. Good winter ride (off hurricane and tourist season), food for the soul.
RTF is my favorite vlog channel. I've included locations recommended in my own trips, and this one has me thinking about some southern routes at the end of the Trace planned for 2026....
I 100% enjoy your videos!! I live in Tucson and I’ve actually planned many of my rides based off some of your trips in the southwest. Where/how do you find these spots? PS- I’m planning a trip to Pie Town, via the good ole Rte. 666!! 😊
haha rad! thanks for letting me be a part of your travels! ive been riding since 2011 and I just love to travel, so I hear about things through word of mouth and/or in the time I spend researching different areas of the country. ...I spend a lot of time reading and planning stuff.
The Bucees in Leeds is right down the road from the Barber Museum, the largest motorcycle collection in the world, and just an awesome place overall...
What a great day! Come home from my own riding and eating, and get one of my favorite content creators with a new video! Since I know you’ll be in Wisconsin in July, may I recommend Sloppy Joe’s Saloon & Spoon in Hubertus, Wisconsin. (Just east of Holy Hill) I ate there today. The burnt ends were the best I’ve had in a long time. The Carolina slaw had a bit of a kick, but was delicious. The pulled pork was excellent and the chips are homemade. Thank you for another great video, and for making my day.
Oh hell yeah! You were in my home town(Ocean Springs) I miss the food and ambience of home. Ugh. Fort Worth just doesn’t do fried okra right. Rats that you didn’t get a chance to pop by Tatonut for a coffee.
Nah barbers is in Birmingham EVRRYONEEEEE knows that. (Yes I am fully aware it is around the corner from that bucees 🤣) gotta remember most people don’t understand suburbs and only recognize major cities but…do what ya gotta do 👋👋👋
I keep missing you! lol I've only ran into Traveling Tall 2 times and HerTwoWheels on my travels! We just got back from our run which took us through Leeds Alabama! Little wet but ended our trip at Jack Daniels with a tour and then a sunshiney ride home on last day! We had 1 out of 8 days where we didn't were jackets or rain gear but, we had a great week riding from WV south and west to the Rattlesnake Saloon and home on all back roads!
I'm a Texan who moved to Portland. I just made banana pudding for my kids for the first time last week. They really liked it but the oldest said "man, this is so unhealthy."
Did you stop at the Barber motorcycle museum? You were only about a mile from it at the buc ees. It's a must see for motorcycle lovers. Mt Cheaha State Park was about an hour away also. There are great bike riding roads all in that area.
Yes I am aware of barber lol and no I did not stop on this trip. As the video showed, I was pretty busy trying to get to where I was goin’ and unfortunately that means skipping things sometimes. Thanks for understanding!
Hi Staci, did you have issues with the beauty ring after you upgraded to the custom dynamics led light? not the shark demon, the other one. Cant get the beauty ring to stay on it. Probably gonna put som silicone on it but curious to see if u had this as well.
Maaan, you be road pounding for real👍🏿!! I live in Birmingham and know that Buc-ee's so well😁. Montgomery has a lot of history👌🏿. Glad you explored it💯. I've also ridden down the Mississippi Coast. Can't be in the south and not have banana 🍌 pudding😅. Stay safe!!
Another amazing video and that food look so yummy and ur voice is so relaxing and soothing I love listening to it u should do commentary for other people ur an amazing gal keep up the great content
You rode right through my city!I I'm shocked you didn't stop in Birmingham!! Birmingham is in the top 5 in the United States for being a great foodie town! My city is the reason why I named myself Fifth Gear Foodie! You missed out!
@@ridetofood Birmingham was ranked #1 on Zagat's list of America's hot food cities, and ranked #10 on Fodor's Travels for the best food cities in the U.S. Yep you rode right by us! LOL!!!!
Alright! Another place to add to my bucket list of places to visit. Man! If ate all that for lunch, I would be falling a sleep while riding. And YES! dessert can make or break a great meal.
Haha, I did that too in Texas when I stopped in at Cattleack BBQ for the Texas Trinity Platter. It was raining with no where to sit, so I packed everything on to the bike and headed to Amarillo where I enjoyed the meal in a motel. Gotta love banana pudding.
This was a great video but then they are all but this was awesome because I’ve been to several of the places and even on the same roads that you were in this video
Excellent tunes! The "sweet BBQ sauce" would be on purpose to complement the "peppery" crust. Separate from each other-expect disappointment. Together: MMMMMM! I definitely agree about the banana pudding. I could founder on it 😂. Always glad you bring us along. Sincerely hope you get to revisit various stops to indulge in the amazing historic moments that have meant so much and inspire national pride. I, too, love our history. Thank you again. Keep on!

Just keep up the great work! Much love from Norway! 🤗🤗💖💖🌹🌹
When in the deep south eat like Elvis. I think that meal would put me back in cardiac rehab. Ah to be young again. I'm afraid that after hitting a few bumps on a motorcycle may have me looking for a shed. If you know whay I mean. Love your videos.
I was lucky enough to spend two different times on the gulf coast in Pascagoula getting 2 ships built. It totaled about 8 months in total between the two. I love the people, the history and the food. I would weigh a lot more than I do currently if I lived there full time. My favorite time is spring for all of the catfish and mud bug festivals.
As always, good stuff! I bet it was difficult not being able to take the time at the stops but thank you for the short stops to show us what is available. I'm looking forward to when you go back and give us the full tour of all the good stuff.
The Shed just won Grand Champion at The Memphis in May World BBQ contest. I know you're not much of a pork eater but, they won top honor with the whole hog category. This is their 3rd time winning Grand Champion.
Yeah they’re definitely known for their pork bbq and not their beef based stuff. I’d go back just to try their pork bbq but I definitely wouldn’t go back just to eat brisket lol! I wanna go back when they’re doing a crawfish boil actually!

Nope! They’ve the same size for about 10 years!
