- Hello UA-cam, Today I want to show you my quick and easy method for sequencing Psytrance Kick and Bass on the Eurorack synthesizer. Enjoy!
Using these modules:
2 x ES Disting MK4
1 x VPME.DE Euclidean Circles
Mixing with Hexinverter Mutant Hot Glue
Clock from DAW using Hexinverter Mutant Brain
Also, this "utility" module i'm using is the Ornament & Crime - with Hemisphere's Firmware

Super Simple Psytrance Kick and Bass Sequencing Trick for Eurorack Modular Synths
So cool that the bass is automatically the inverse of the kick. Makes it incredibly flexible and simple to sequence.
Wow, despite seeing some clips on that euclidean module, I never new about one channel adding or substracting, that's great for hihats as well!
Thank you so much for your videos Dash!!
Amazing! Very interesting content!
Greetings from germany ❤️
Ahhh this is sickkk! Thanks mate
thanks for this one
I'm eorking on how to replicate this in VCV Rack.. I'm new to all of this so thank you for sharing your adventure.
Hi, love this video. Is there aniway I could get hold of those samples. Cheers

Break dance practice, UA-cam
Not sure if you covered this since I'm a fairly new sub, but sound design for bass. The bass in this video is what I am trying to reproduce.
He got all kinds of tutorials on that. The longest one is like 50mins or so all about psytrance bass. From there you can alternate to your liking with changing the parameters of your synth.
That sounds a lot more like darkpsy compared to what u usualy do ;DD
that sounds good funky there by the end. is there something like this on vcv rack?
There are a few Euclidean Sequencers but I didn't find one that looks and acts like the VPME EC, then it's just 2 sample players :)
the euclidean sequencer from count modula might work well! but it doesn’t look quite as cool
What mode is that for Euclid? I thought they were just the 6 individual channels that you switch control of 3 over. I didnt know you could do inverted triggers for 3 channels that seems way more useful to me. Looking at the manual now is this just 6-Channel mode off?
This is the V1 so there is only the inverted trigger mode :)
@@DashGlitch GOt it, I think I figured out how to do it on V2. This is an awesome tip and exactly the type of thing Ive been looking for. Thanks bro!
@@DashGlitch nope, V1 has the 6-channel mode as well, it's just that it's default on V2 whereas on V1 "offbeat" mode is default
The Euklidean rhythm part is genious! Is there a way to sidechain the kick?
Yea, you can trigger an envelope -> vca on the bass with the same kick trigger
@@DashGlitch sorry,I don't get that. Are you using like a negative amplitude signal in the vca? What I meant is to mute the kick sound when the first bassnote hits as the kick samples are often too long.
@@quinxx12 ooh in this example I did not sidechain, I just used the envelope parameter in Disting where the samples were loaded, to tune the end/release prefectly :)
Is this possible with Disting EX or need both Distings, too?
I believe so
So the bass and the kick come from your daw in the two Disting Ex?
Édit: Oh no i think i have understand, the Disting Ex modules are samples players, so you have already your sounds in
yeah super simple with modules costing my month salary
Distings are popular on the second hand market, the go for like $80 a pop, and the DIY kit for the EC is like $70. You can get the lot for like $250 which is not much more than a plugin these days :) but yea I get it, there are other expenses, but these are accessible modules
@@DashGlitchbtw i have a disting mk4 haha. also i didnt count i live in eastern eu where our money worth shit
@@papathrv1968 brother i'm in South Africa, not only is the currency basically dogshit, but there are no music stores that even sell synths here and no second hand market, but where there is a will there is a way! :) p.s some of the best modular manufacturers are in E.EU so atleast shipping will be quick
