very good thanks. I used to do this years ago and I'm looking at getting back into it. I would also add a trowel for digging holes :-) I use LED Lenser head tourch. Really bright and recharges off a micro usb so charges off a charging brick :-)
Great vid mate...The way your guy lines are set up are going to cause friction on the tent tabs and could wear them out....imo i would have them tied to the tabs and allow the friction to be on the lines only...Hilliberg would charge an arm and a leg and a kidney to fix them tabs mate......Thanks for the snow peg tips , i am going to buy some right now.
Andy, Loved the video. Thank you. I am keeping a eye out for one of those sleeping bags when there is next a sale on. You didn't mention walking trousers or gaiters? Looking forward to your next video.
I forgot to mention my Gaiters! I use Peter Storm Trek Gaiters from Go Outdoors, Millets, Blacks, etc. They are both waterproof and breathable. They retail at £26 but you can always buy them cheaper in the sale.
Salomon be last pair of boots or shoes i would reccomend .lucky if get a year out them . trust me i get through them .dolomite gore tex the best by a country mile
Mine have been fine but then again I’m only 70kg so don’t wear them out fast and I use NikWax to keep them waterproof. I’ll check out Dolomite though 👍
Instead of spending a ton of money on snow anchors if you're the DIY type go to your local hardware store or whatever you call it in England and buy some of the aluminum poles that already are pre-drilled with holes. You can get almost any size you want and just use a hacksaw to cut them down or a lot of places will cut them down for you, to size
Stick it on the washing line as soon as you can, certainly within 24 hours if you can. I’ve also got a clothes horse too. Go down to B&M (or similar) and you can get one cheap. I always thoroughly dry my kit out. Nikwax products are great too.
Cheers for the Video Andy. Cant back you up enough especially about the coat, nothing worse than getting drenched and trying to camp.
Hiking and then camping in wet gear is never fun. If it’s cold too it’s soul destroying!
You didn't mention the key ingredients a beard gotta have the beard big 1

I agree, Scarpa is a huge improvement on Salomon

Wild camping with a sleeping bag the size of a sofa..very interesting.
Haha it looks like it. I’ll review it soon, you’d be surprised how small it picks up!
i think your elections really very nice, but in my country(Argentina)some products not available,or very very very expensive😩even so you are ok!😁
The four seasons sleeping bag looks like you'd need a small van to transport it.
😂😂😂
Sorry Andy but what is "Praticipation" ? 😂 Precipitation.. But kudos for going for it not just saying "rain"... 💪
😂😂😂
Hi, Andy, when you have to pack away and the tent is wet, how long can you leave it wet in the bag, best way to dry it, any tips please? Thanks
