The prettiest Caladium got to last a little longer, yay. I don't recall it mentionned in the video, but when cutting Caladium leaves, the sap can irritate the skin. And if some of the cut leaves are still nice, they can be put in a vase with water to enjoy a week+ anywhere in the house. Makes a very unique short-lived gift too.

Hi love ur vids and love that ur growing all these tropical plants in the uk as im in n.ireland just a little tip what i learnt all bulbs draw their energy back from the leaves to make a better bulb and to multiply and then better growth the next growing season so i let leaves completely wither before over wintering them xx

I rooted mine in water for months and just potted it up last week... I made a soil mix video a few months ago which I have linked in the description box, this is what I potted it up in (just less bark and more coir. You can tailor it to any plant) 🌿
Hi. Your plants as always are stunning and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. I have one caladium - another I had just drooped, rotted and died, but this other is hanging in there. Anyway, the November cold is setting in here in the Midwest of the USA, and I appreciate these instructions on what to do with my caladium now. Will you have another video in the spring to let us know exactly when and how we should repot / replant the bulbs?
Oh love seeing your plants and cosy decor ^^ and Marvin too he's such a cute lil goof :) Hannah, have you ever tried instead of cutting the green leaves on the Caladiums that are still alive just leave them to dry by themselves? I was thinking maybe if the bulbs get the time to absorb all the nutrients from the leaves and stems that are still alive they might get bigger and stronger. I am just a newb with Caladiums have got a few varieties this year and can't wait to see lush growth maybe next year :)

Aw thanks yes he can be so sweet sometimes, but also really naughty 😄 Do you mean my budgie Monster? She’s pretty quiet compared to Marvin and likes to keep to herself, although saying that she’s flying round like a nutter at the moment 😁🐥🌿💚

Thank you and welcome! 💚 Marvin is a green cheeked Conure. I also have a budgie called Monster. Yes they poop a lot lol, I just clean after them and it dies t bother me. I have made my birds tree play stands that they like to spend a lot of time on, these have easy clean slate bases :) I wouldn’t recommend getting a bird unless you can give them lots of time and attention. They can be very noisy too. I have always loved birds and feel happy that I work from home and am able to give them lots of my attention 🌿💚🌴🦜🐥

Hi there I drove about three hours to get Marvin… But it was so long ago I can’t remember where it was. I know Titchfield Aviarys breed them and they are pretty good… They are not hand reared though
Luckily my birds aren’t interested in the plants. When I first started collecting them a few years ago they were but over time they began to ignore them. They do like the maranta if it’s in nibbling reach though lol, that’s about the only one 🌿💚

@@TropicalPlantAddict I've built a series of barricades! My main south facing window has a clear shower curtain guarding it. The maranta is on the sideboard with the TV and many other plants and I've attached a toothpick fence to the top to stop him landing on it. He is CONSTANTLY finding new ways to outsmart us tho!

It’s a cupboard in the uk that usually contains a water tank so it’s nice and warm. A lot of people keep their towels and bedding in them

I haven’t tried that I just usually cut them off when they have completely drooped. They are big enough, no room if they get any bigger 😆🌴💚🌿
