  • Here's a quick video showing the steps to take when reassembling a detachable hair clipper blade. Taking the blades apart are as simple as removing two screws, but when it comes to putting them back together, it can be quite the nuisance. There are a few factors to consider other than lining up the screws, and in this video I explain everything you'll need to know to be able to assemble the blades correctly for optimal performance.

    Finally, I found the video that corrects my mess. I accidentally disassembled the entire blade while trying to remove the silly thing. Thank you for the detailed instruction. Step by step.

    Agree with it being tough to see what you are doing with the text on top. Your verbal explanation honestly was enough. THANK YOU. After watching a couple times your video helped me get my Oster back up and running (after I took the blade apart without knowing what I was doing LMBO)

      How did you get the blades back together? My husband took his Osters apart. Now there's some small black plastic piece that's also just free floating, unexplainable that needs to be dealt with. The manual and user guide it came with is of NO HELP at all either.

    My Oster blade came apart when I was trying to oil it. There's a brown thing that I don't know where it goes. I finally figured it out, thankfully I had another blade to compare it to.

      It's called a blade guide. It goes on the spring of the clipper blade. In between the cutter blade and the spring will be the guide. It's because the cutter blade moves left or right and you don't want metal grinding on metal so they put plastic in between it

    My Oster CryogenX Golden A5 has these weird “U” brackets where the blade holder is. This means I cannot remove the blade holder because of those U brackets. This makes alignment extremely difficult. Does anyone have any videos or advice for this?

    I still can't figure out how I'm supposed to align the blade to the comb. Is it the blade to the edge of the comb. please explain. Thanks

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  8 років тому +1

      +blueagle1100 just make sure the cutter blade doesn't protrude over the comb and then you'll be ok.

    • @raekc4839
      @raekc4839 8 років тому +1

      What do you mean "over" the comb? Do teeth line up exactly parallel or staggered in between gaps?

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  8 років тому +1

      @107806646537602688010 if the cutter's teeth go over the bottom comb surface area of the teeth it will not cut and move hair around. If the left side of the cutter blade is not exactly same height as the right side and not sticking over the comb blade, it will not cut straight.

      Dizzylizzyscreations you can try to not back the screws out so far and it will make it easier to adjust, or you can try tightening one screw down at a time. Here's another video with additional help. ua-cam.com/video/tt2IsKzuTyw/v-deo.html

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  7 років тому

      It probably needs to be sharpened or there is something wrong with the clipper, but more than likely it is a dull blade.

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  8 років тому

      The cutter blade needs to not hang over the comb teeth. If it does, it will only move hair and not cut it.

      So blade tooth should be positioned in gap between comb teeth? Or line up over comb teeth? That is my question. Just got a "New" #7 skip tooth blade and I cannot see blade moving at all. Cut no hair. I adjusted it and moved blade upward a bit and got teeth to line up in gap of comb teeth and can now see it move. But not sure its correct.
