Love the fact that he managed to get the first book in the romance series without even looking at it properly lol. Also, happy you enjoyed them, good job gabe!
There is just something about Jess and her aura that just brings me such peace and comfort! I have always loved reading books but I just recently came across the booktube side haha. Watching Jess talk about books just brings me such a cozy vibe and I hope she continues to make these videos for a long time to come!
Sarah Adam’s has SUCH great closed door romance books, my fav is When in Rome it’s soooo cute! Her newest one had a scene that’s open door BUT she tells you before what chapter, which is nicely appreciated! Def recommend!
“Does it say closed door on the cover?” Me… No but that’d be nice. I reallly wish that was a thing. We get content ratings for movies and tv, why not books. I would love that. ❤
Omg pls do this again! This was so fun, I’m a reader myself so it was so interesting to hear your take on the books you read and the surprise of what book it was! I had my bf pick a book for me once and I loved it so much I bought the rest of the series!! ❤
I absolutely love when you post books videos😊 i just moved into my first apartment and books are keeping me cozy while i make my apartment into a home💞
I loved this so much❤I cannot even express how much I love the fact that u have this channel dedicated to books and your videos are so comfy and I love you guys💎I hope u always stay happy❤❤
Jess!! The braids are so cute on you!!!! also, I love your videos, I really appreciate being able to watcha Christian couple with similar values to me. I really look up to you!
You should make a video about your favorite books you’ve read. We have super similar taste in books! I want more books that I know that I’ll like in my tbr
Book recommendations: a court of thorns and roses series, classic books ex. Jane Austen books, the great gatsby, little women, Anne or green gables, better than the movies, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Emily Henry, caraval and once upon a broken heart series, redeeming love! ❤️
I love always getting awesome book recs from you jess! that is so cute how Gabe knows what you like to read! p.s. Gabe rocked those pit vipers in a bookstore HAHAHA
Okay Jess; first of all, you are so beautiful and I just really wanted to say that. The way you think, talk, processes and go through these videos is so nice and it reflects your inner beauty through your interest in a way that's so calming and engaging. I am not a reader and I've never cared much about books but I've really been getting into these sit down talking or just anywhere in the car type of videos were is just you alone as much as the ones of both of you together. I've said it before but your voice is so soothing and really nice to hear while doing a morning routine/breakfast vibes. Bless you both and you little ones, keep doing what you do cause it's going great👌🏼 (Also the way you involved Gabe just as a husband being there doing something for his wife and not necessarily a co-host was really nice and cute, loved it 💚)
Damn i saw this video recommendation a while ago and i was searching for it under jess conte couldn't find it and just realised now you have a whole new channel for books omg how did i even miss this haha the besttttt
We love this kind of videos too, can’t wait for the next one 😍 And as a fan of Lisa Jewell as well, I really would recommend you “The Night She Disappeared”, it’s my favorite by her so far !
Glad you read "Never Fall for Your Fiance"! I haven't read that book specifically, but books with historical settings (basically, anything that isn't a contemporary romance) I've found are overlooked a lot in the booktube/bookstagram world. They're great if you want to read books w/o spice (most of them aren't raunchy) and if you want to read something where not all the main characters are in the city / working full time world. I'd recommend The Stationery Shop by Marjan Kamali, and also Little Women (a classic - not a historical setting, written in its time in the late 1800s)
I literally just checked your channel maybe 15 minutes ago to see if you posted any new videos. This is perfect timing! 😄💗 I love all of your content, but I always look forward to your bookish videos so much. I love hearing your thoughts on the books you read. 😊
I’ve been loving these videos so much!! I got back into reading this year and already so close to smashing my reading goal for the year. Your recs have helped me build my tbr 😊
It’s love this channel!🥰 It’s like an internet book club! I see your recommendations and read everyone’s recommendations on the comments 📚 love u guys💕
Ahh I LOVE books set in the 1800s! I especially love classic British literature, my favorite book of all time is Pride and Prejudice Hearing you talk about the books you read makes me want to give them a shot but I just really have never been into more current books.
Ahh Jess!!! I love this so much and I am so obsessed with your content!!! You are such a light and an inspiration!! Keep being yourself. Ilysm and I hope you’re having an amazing day 💕
You should read ACOTAR if you haven't already! It was the first fantasy series I've ever read and I'm OBSESSED! It's literally all I want to talk about
I read that entire series twice and that’s a huge deal for me. I nvr read anything twice. It was soooo good!! If u haven’t read The Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, u should bc it’s another series, I’d read twice. Another excellent series is Jennifer Armentrout’s From Blood and Ash series. So good!
One thing I find helpful in finding closed door is to make sure women's magazines like Cosmo and Glamour haven't reviewed them. Like on the back cover where is has little blurbs. If Cosmo liked it, it's smut.
If you want Something with similar vibes to Never Fall For Your Fiance then try Something in the Heir by Suzanne Enoch. I really enjoyed the storyline and from what I remember it was pretty closed door and overall super cute!
I love nonfiction more than fiction. I think it's neat how you love more than nonfiction. Different books for different people ;) I LOVED reading Crazy Love back years ago. One of my favorite books is Your Own Beautiful by Chelsea Crockett. It's nonfiction. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it.
to watch your booktuber feel like such a refreshing to me... thank you for creating this Jess !!!! 😍❤️❤️❤️ currently my most reads non fiction... i can't wait to go back on fiction romance reading hahahah ... bytheway have you thought to read new Kevin kwannn new book?
Okay wait 1- you and I have EXACTLY the same taste in books! Especially looking at your good reads. So this made me so excited 2- I am now inspired to make my partner do this with me ASAP
Before I was Christian, God led me to purchase Crazy Love in the thrift store and it was what converted me to Christianity and it totally changed my life. I always recommend that book to anyone ❤🥺🙏🏽
I've read crazy love & loved it! As a Christian, I got so much out of it! I've read quite a lot of Christian Non fiction & crazy love is my favorite by far!
Maybe a challenge even though that month is over is a AAPI month reading for a week or any bipocs books? From the authors you’ve never read or Australian authors that as Asian or bipocs? I’d love that!!
Love that you loved Crazy Love! Haha I remember reading it in high school and it was great. You said you can’t remember the last time you read a nonfiction Christian book, but didn’t you read The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry? I’m reading that one now and I remember you mentioned it! I’m underlining so much!!
I read Then she was gone a couple of years ago, but recently I read The family upstairs by the same author and it is so much better!! On the other hand it is even darker, so approach with caution but I couldn't put it down
As a fellow christian you NEED to read Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers its a novel retelling of the book Hosea from the bible. My fav book of all time so beautiful xx
hi Jess , i dont know if you'll ever see my comment , but i would love to recommand a romantasy ( has closed door romance in it) that's so dear to my heart and it's this book called: Divine Rivals , i think you would totally love it too
Jess as a booktuber is a perfect combination
Yea!!!
Gabe shopping in the romance section with those sunglasses on makes him look SO sketchy for some reason. 😂
P.s. Shoutout to Gabe for finding a great Christian Non-Fiction book for you.
Love the fact that he managed to get the first book in the romance series without even looking at it properly lol. Also, happy you enjoyed them, good job gabe!

Jess! u should go into Barnes and noble blindfolded and gabe will lead you to a shelf and you blindly select your books!!
Gabe’s impatience would just make me so angry 😂
Like what do you mean you just grabbed whatever off the shelf.
love how well gabe knows you!! crazy how much you enjoyed them
Jess, I know we’re all really enjoying this new UA-cam channel! Thank you for creating it!!!
I'm having so much fun, thank you for being hereeee 🥰
“Does it say closed door on the cover?” Me… No but that’d be nice. I reallly wish that was a thing. We get content ratings for movies and tv, why not books. I would love that. ❤

Omg I thought I was dreaming!! I love these types of videos! I can’t wait to watch 🥰
