Gens Ace need to be a bit quicker with rapidly failing battery warranties. Had a puffy 4s that took over 3 months to warranty, meanwhile, the bomb just grew bigger and bigger. Thankfully I got some replacements (45c instead of 100c which is a bit inconvenient for an X-Maxx), but glad to have moved the "balloon" on

Hmm, I disassembled the battery an hour ago, and this lithium doesn't react with water. Also it drowns in water. Idk why, it doesn't even melt with gas lighter

When i was disregarding a safety warnings and tearing apart 3s battery with single dead cell to make it into usable 2s i wasnt cutting it to get the cells apart just spraying a bit of brake cleaner on them made them fall apart. (battery was gens ace bashing 5000mah).

I have only used Gens Ace batteries. One i made bad decisions and it feel out of my car. The battery did not last too much longer.
I'm now always storing at 3.85v to 3.8v
Think one of my new 3s packs going weak in cell one again.
I hope these new ones last. 2 go bad in 5 months is not good for the pocket

Interesting. Maybe NiCad is the way to go.

Why not pack it in a composite or Cf box? I like the 11000 but they are scary when you think that they are “bashing “ batteries in a soft bag 😱

Like you said in this video , when the battery is puffed its plates are loosen causing the degradation of the battery(capacity).
If the air inside it is removed by using a needle and the plates are pressed to its original form and closing the puncher with some adhesive , will the battery will become normal, means it will come to its original capacity?
Please guide me , is it safe to do this as i am having a puffed lipo battery.

Absolutely never puncture a lipo battery dude. This was in the video 😂. If it’s puffed just get a new battery. Why change burning down your house or rc vehicle with defective components? Not worth the risk at all.

So when a battery is slightly puffed is it still "within specs"?

We highly recommend never using a battery when it's slightly puffed. Check for any hot spots if you detect puffing.

Bull sh. I've had all sorts of race toys for 20 years and this Gens Ace 5000 4S decided to die within 30 seconds of 5km/h, safely stored inside of a Kraton 8S. Junk
