Honestly, that was a happy accident. I just used those two songs, and months later in testing I was like "wow that transition works really well". No wonder, being the same game haha
I mean... This is perfect for listening to while doing stuff. Nothing jumps out as particularly unpleasant, and (mainly thanks to the SNES) the instruments never change too sharply.
This is a dope OST, you have amazing taste in game music. Also thanks for making this! Now I have somewhere to send people when they ask "What song is playing at XX:XX?" haha :D
@@shadowpheonix1751 This is true. According to Barb he built the levels around the music. Being in a band really helps with knowing the music styles to go for as well.
Hey Juz, one thing I just want you let to know. Everytime I drive with my bus from the depot to the first location or to the depot without passagiers, my smartphone will play this songlist! Thank you for the amazing hack and soundtrack that fits 100%. Commented by a berlin bus driver :)
Juz, phenomenal job on Invictus. Nothing but immense love for this hack my friend. And thank you for the music upload as well. Looking forward to playing it one day! Cheers from Texas.
I was so much waiting for this! The music is excellent, and the game itself rocks. I haven't actually finished other Kaizos, but I wanted to give a try to this, and I'm already at "Built to fall". For sure one of the best hacks I've seen.
I love the Crusader: No Remorse transition into Undertale: Ruins. Two totally different games, but they work SO well together! From creepy woods to a haunted trick room... It has no business working as well as it does!
OMG YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was wondering where I could find the Invictus OST and this came up in my feed! I am so happy! The music in this hack is simply amazing!
I recently watched a let's play of this, and I think the coolest thing to me was hearing Pyrotechnic Perennial X in this rom hack, which is a song I actually inspired flashygoodness to create way back in the day thanks to sending him an original Megaman X song of my own I had been working on, as well as remixes of his songs I was trying to create in Megaman X style. I need to get in touch with him again, I really miss his old flash based music player and all his awesome original music. Thanks for uploading this, too, I really wanted to know what all the songs used were so I could make a custom soundtrack for it.
Damn bro, your music selection in invictus is amazing, Invictus is an amazing rom hack! been watching dode speed run it...you are an amazing level Creator/ music afficando... Hope to see another rom hack soon!
Loving you, Juz :D Always enjoying your stream, as I do watch others play your Romhack, which I will never be able to clear (not even the first level) :D JUZt continue the way you do! Greetings from Germany!
Most (if not all) of this music is on SMWCentral, however it has its own file format (originally intended for the SNES). Desktop VLC can play it though.
I wonder if RedNGreen knows how well loved his songs are...he posted those songs like in 2015 on SMW Central, and hasn't been active there for years....
Update: RedNGreen came back, he actually has an active twitter and makes non-port original music. He recently put a new version of Fear Facorty on SMW Central. Here's to hoping for more originals
Pressure Cooker doesn’t have the voiceclip of the letter V in it, 0/10 In all reality, great selection. I can tell it was chosen with love and nostalgia.
my life would feel just a bit more complete, if ever i could get my hands on an extended version of amphobius's _factory_ joint. that's, like, an actual *bop* among _bops,_ amidst an already amazing soundtrack that cookie threw together here
Omg I actually found the track used in Super Mario Bros. Invaders of the Mushroom Kingdom's world 5!!! I thought it was from a random SNES game cuz it sounds like it but it's Medivo from Jazz Jackrabbit which is a PC game?! Wow, if you're still out there, thanks a lot!
This hack is absolutely insane. This needs a reproduction cartridge. I was especially surprised to hear Pressure Cooker, Megalovania, and We Are The Robots.
I seriously thought for sure that the "Creatures of the silent Sea" music was actually the intro music of Wild Arms 1 (PSX) called "Into the Wilderness".
Melhor hack, estou a zerar ela, muito boa a colocação das músicas nas fases, essa hack tem uma dificuldade bem elevada, muito bem feita, parabéns juzcook. 🇧🇷🇧🇷

What's your game called?
Best rom hack music of all time.
And then GPW 2 came out. ;)
Kelainos Now we wait for another master piece

And darkstar
This is one of the top 10 things to ever happen on the internet.
14:52 the title is actually Septette for the Dead Princess
World Bowser in that soundfont was absolutely perfect
It's so perfect, yeah... it also becomes practically the ultimate troll music, you just hear it and go "Nooo......"
“World Bowser” in SMW troll hacks is “Slider” in SMM2 troll levels
If Juzcook does make an Invictus 2, I hope the soundtrack is just as fire as this one!
My favorite is the transition from Underwater City to Creatures From The Silent Sea. That was genius to do that.
Honestly, that was a happy accident. I just used those two songs, and months later in testing I was like "wow that transition works really well". No wonder, being the same game haha
And they’re nearly the same song
i like this

3:05 Funky Forest | Ported by RednGreen

The Touhou song is actually called "Septette for Dead Princess", but it's close enough. Nice to include a Touhou song in a Kaizo hack!
Funky Forest at 3:05 is one the greatest songs!
Thanks Juz, Invictus is amazing 😀

it's such a tune
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
Dude, I got goosebumps from hearing the NSMBW Volcano. Easily my favorite volcano theme, along with being from my first Mario game.
It’s a REALLY good port in SMW too!
My first game was NSMBDS but I never actually got to 8-5 (the first level with the volcano theme) cuz I was stuck at world 5 😂
At least not when I was younger
That volcano theme is just awesome. I need a 10 hour video loop of that.
