I can’t find the original comment, but it said, “imagine meeting yourself and finding out you are exactly who you were meant to be” and it perfectly describes this ending. ❤
Beautiful scene. So disappointed this wasn't playable, like visiting Rost's grave. Loved the final twist that the metal flowers were placed in the same flower arrangement as Elizabet's final resting place. Made me want to return to that merchant and get them all back.
mikes5637 I wished to visit her grave too, and to have a bigger back story for Elisabet. Like a short of the important events in her eyes, and then her death and then it'll show Aloy being placed in the all-mother
@@sabrinayerger5279 you can
You can, but you kinda gotta hack a bit
What if, it was. It could’ve been like the final delivery in Deathstranding, where we travel across the landscape as we listen to various conversations between Gaia and Sobeck
Sobek-the ancient Egyptian god of fertility, associated with protection.
oooh I didn't know that, that's so beautiful and in line with her character
@@vaultravaand faro=pharaoh, and the chariot lines are all egyptian themed as well. Scarab, khopesh (a sword), and Horus a fierce god who gave life to the pharaoh
I cry everytime she toucher her mother's chest and Elisabeth's face appears. :(
Zaidcristal i don't think it was her mother. I think she the hero is a synthetic humanoid... True they did say that there where working on cryostasis, but Sylince did say that there where many thing's that went wrong with it. So i think she is in fact a synthetic humanoid created by GAIA. And Elisabet and GAIA where talking and GAIA said to Elisabet do you have children and she said no. Than GAIA also said if you did what would you have her be like.... And there is the hero :).
fucknow333 that's the narrative point. She's not a humanoid she's a genetic clone of Elizabet Sobeck with some genetic alteration to survive in the new environment. Sobeck never had a daughter but if she did she'd be everything Aloy is. Intelligent and compassionate.
dunnejos the real fucknow333 has died this is his brother. I have a question on what's the difference between humanoid and a synthetic. Yeah granted one is made out of plastic and the other one is made out of some kind of synthetic skin, but they're still maid from one thing a computer. What's the difference between a humanoid and synthetic person? And what happened to the other dude that was on this channel was my brother and yes he died of kidney cancer. Oh by the way I have not play this game please please please don't spoil anything from me. What I saw that little Snippets video what the fuck? Am I fucking stupid or all those fucking.. alright let me start from the beginning why the fuck is there machines and there's a fucking power armor on the fucking ground with a dead person in the suit why the fuck does she have bow and arrows? But a fucking Goddamn machine horse with all that fucking Stone Age equipment in the background... What the fuck kind of game is this? Is this an end of the world type game? I would love to look up the rest of the game play...
RIP fucknow333
Aloy is a clone of Elisabeth.
this scene makes me cry
This game came with my PS4 and just layed in my room untouched for months. When you put it in you certainly dont expect such a well presented and emotional storyline. So glad I played it.
Anyone else notice how Lis' story is the actual plot of the game?
Yeah Gaia created that daughter Sobeck wanted
Just finished... this was the closest she got to finding her "mother". Which is why the scene is so touching for her... she's been looking for that since she was a child with Rost, it was her only propuse until she finds out about Hades etc.
Fenomenal story. Haven't enjoyed a game this much since Wreath of the Wild.
Is that a Christmas themed Zelda game?
@@lastshadow8680 underrated comment discovered after 2 years
@@EthernalOynuyor Even I forgot about it lol
@@lastshadow8680 Horizon is pretty much the BOTW story if you think about it.
This is the first time we heard Elizabeth with CLEAR VOICES, and at then end of the game I just realized Elizabeth and Aloy voice are 100% same LOL
Just finished the game. Kudos to Guerilla Games for the great game and great storyline. This ending cutscene almost made me tear up.
So I'm I 😭
Almost? hhahahhahaha
This scene is so fucking amazing, every single week I watch it again and every single time I get chills
Damn this game making me have feelings. I don't remeber a game that has made me feel this way about its storyline. Great game, should have been GOTY.
"being smart will count for nothing if you dont make the world better", the game was life changing but the ended has stuck with me longer than anything else. horizon zero dawn is a game made with nothing but meaning, theres a lesson to everything a meaning with every quest. the story of elizabet catching the tree on fire sounds so much like what rost would have said to aloy, they both grew up with someone who really believed in being good and doing good. if aloy had been raised by the tribe i dont think she would ever have tried to heal the world, rost raised her the way elizabet wouldve wished for her to be raised.
Wow! There was no game ever that made me cry. Everything of this game is awesome.
Yea true
This must 2nd game i cry.. the 1st one is red dead redemption 2.. i cry when Arthur and my horse dead 😢
@@VXGaming-j8r Why would you put a spoiler in a random youtube comment on another video? It hasn't even been out on the PC but like a year...for people who didn't play on playstation, many haven't finished it yet.
I just finished the main story yesterday and MAN! It was so hard watching this cutscene without tearing up
That globe necklace Aloy wears is something important I know it. It's in forbidden west and I bet it opens and has Apollo or something inside.
Can't watch this without tearing up. This game helped me in the darkest time of my life, it was my only way to escape my deeply depressed state. I grew to love those characters, and I remember breaking down so hard when I first saw this scene, as if I was washing all my sorrows aways with my tears. No video game came even close to touch me like HZD did, not even The Last of Us games. To me it was not only Aloy's journey, it was mine as well.
I felt that way too.
What a beautiful comment.
Just played through the game for the first time and this definitely choked me up. One without a mother and the other without a daughter, longing for each other and having their wish fulfilled but with a 1000 years between them.
I just remembered that aloy was also 6yrs old when she fell into the ruins
I cry every time...
Just finished the game. This scene renewed my appreciation for Life and The human condition
This scene always makes me cry like a little baby
I didn’t think this could hit me harder, until I had two wilful, unstoppable and compassionate daughters 😢
Shes been sitting there for 1000 years ??? Wow
You made my tears wash away after 4 years lol😂
The time between the last human alive and aloys journey beginning is a few hundred years not a thousand
@@zoe_401 It's 974 years, from 2066 to 3040.
I’m not crying! I just have something stuck in my eyes!
Ive played through the game multiple times, but only just now realized Gaia saying “sleep well Elizabet” was the story telling her to sleep well in her death, too.
This scene alone was worth more than the whole Forbidden West, especially its DLC!
Its so sad, when i came into this point while playing. I almost cried.
Seven years. I'm not crying, you are crying, again 😭 i love this game and this ending
Damn !!! What a game I wish it will be a prequel videogame telling the story of the old ones !!
One of the best game ever created!!
I'm curious on thoughts on how Aloy was able to see Elisabet's face. Is the body preserved? Did the suit save her "final breath face"?
probably saved a scan of her face and her focus accessed that data.
@@RazorIance If that's her "last moments" face, it's kind of sad and chilling. I guess similar to a viewing at a funeral then...
I wonder how many people got this deep cut reference in Astro Bot
It's a good thing she didn't get eaten by Khopesh or a Horus class Titan, her death site would be far less beautiful then and Aloy wouldn't be able to recover Elisabet's Earth charm.
Honestly was speechless when I played this game. Never did i think that this was how it ended
The relationship between Gaia and Elizabet is really shown off here. The flowers around her body arent remnants of the old world. Those were consumed. This is a shrine from what is for all intents and purposes a god in honor of her creator.
It would be great if Aloy wears that charm in forbidden west
And she actually does
@@ohmygodilovechairs omg yesss
I just got a really weird idea if they decide to make another one, I hope they will. I bet you anything the next one is going to be In Nevada. Just hoping
they are already working on a second part
If you played the DLC (spoilers) There is another AI like GAIA and another bad AI like HADES and after you finished the DLC, you havent much got rid of the bad AI so I think the story will revolve there.
As emotional as fuck 😢
It’s almost like DEMETER was trying to honor her ❤️
was she the one that made the metal flowers? she is in a triangle like the metal flowers
No, Gaia made the metal flowers in remembrance of Elizabet. Or at least, thats my understanding of it
Joseph Clamp So I wasn't the only one thinking about that.
well the metal flowers (which spawn seeds for germination to repopulate plant life on earth) were designed by the alpha in charge of Demeter, who also is mentioned in a data point as being a poetry fan, which explains the poetry inside them. but Gaia probably chose the locations to place the flowers when the time came to do so, and probably did put that there to honour Elizabet.
@@ashleyl3699 Possibly even Demeter itself did it, unlikely given timeline and GAIA having the stronger connection but we've only encountered two of the subroutines, the others may well be benevolent.
@@gwilym1991 thats a good point, it could have been Demeter, but i think probably not since the impression i get from the game is the subfunctions did not really have advanced enough intelligence to have emotional components to their actions and choices. they just existed to perform functions and their actions were guided entirely by that single drive.
So I'm 18 hours in playing this game. And I just want to say to Guerilla Entertainment you guys make the best fucking game play out there. Thank you thank you thank you, I have not played a game that was so I don't know how to explain it, but the game styles where you can slide around shoot arrows and it slows down just a little bit, and jumping from cliff to cliff while the screen slows down. That's really fucking awesome. I do have to say the only reason to dislike this game is some of the voice acting sucks the cauldrons suck and that's pretty much about it. Well I can't say that all the voice acting sucks but some of it really is just horrible and it's really really hard to put the controller down while playing this game I cannot quit. I cannot quit... Oh and by the way Killzone was another one that I really did love that they made. Love you game producers you always will have my money!
cried like a bitch, to finally meet one of saviour of the earth from hundred years ago
It was around a thousand years ago
Is sobecks house on the game map? Looked everywhere and can't find it. Think it would make a great spot for photo mode.
I was wondering the same thing, haven't been able to find any info on it either.
Chris Bond which if you think about it, is really shit because the game teases it more than once. There's this scene which gives you the impression that it's in the map, and then there's dialogue after this if you visit
*SPOILERS*
Rosts grave and talk to it. Aloy says something along the lines of 'I want to find her home and visit it'.
Unless the devs plan on releasing a map extension for DLC or having her home be a part of a different map in a future game... but that doesn't make any sense because they show Aloy there. She knows where it is. Lol
Crazy? People used to travel further than that on foot before transportation. And it's not like she was doing a return trip.
It's not. Map comparison puts the game map along the Utah/Colorado border, Elisabet's home (where she went) is in Carson, Nevada.
@@cresenciogrant5107 i found her before first time i ever played i wasnt even dat deep in the game when i found her
I cant remember the location doe
Im not trollin nobody i may be the only person who came across elisabeth
We need a tv show based on the game
Still a far better game than Witcher, Nier or BOTW!
It's good but no where near Witcher 3. Definitely bests nier cause that game makes me dizzy
In what way is this a better game than the other two?
This game has by far the saddest story in all of existence.....
It definitely hasn't got the saddest story in my opinion. Of course, it's still excellently written.
Saddest story for me comes from the Italian film "La vita è bella" (Life is beautiful) from 1997. If you haven't watched that one, you definitely should. (Don't watch a dubbed version, use subtitles.)
Not even close.
Anybody know what song is this on the Soundtrack?
Homecoming and it's beautiful!
What did she took out of her hand?
a small globe.
Es ce que vous pouvez me dire si on peut trouver cet endroit sur la carte car je ne l'a trouve pas
A cutscene after you beat the game
Martin Brian Clark Angela Martin Linda
how was elisabet able to make it home without the robots consuming her though?
It was explained before she left GAIA prime site
I'm just curious where can you find that place in the gameplay
Panda Beatz you can’t it doesn’t exist in the first one at least.
Horizon Zero Dawn 10/10 Horizon Forbidden West 5/10
I'm just curious where can you find that place in the gameplay
you can't. elizabet sobeck returned to her childhood home to die, and its outside the playable area of the game.
@@ashleyl3699 i came across her
@@Darius-ep3qj no you didn't. Elizabet's body is in Nevada and the game map is located in Utah and Colorado...
