For Mj to say you were “always” on point means a lottt.
Not really. He sucking up too much to him. everyone scared to confront Dennis
Well besides all the mess off the court He still was a hard worker on the court that led to Future Hall Of Fame Status.
@@Lolapalooza-ug9jvDennis was scared of Michael
@@Lolapalooza-ug9jvyou crazy thinking MJ sucking up to him lol
For anyone to say it to anyone means alot
I watched the Bulls to watch Dennis. Hardest working player I’ve ever seen. Always on point.” Indeed.
Dennis at the age of 36/38 was Still a great athlet..He was a freak of nature. A hard worker.
Dennis Rodman had a basketball brain that you can’t teach, his body and mind was built for basketball, he didn’t need to train much he was a natural athlete 👍
When these guys are playing on the Chicago Bulls, this is the only time I ever paid attention to basketball
His eyes are almost teary whenever he talks about Dennis
MJ showing great respect to Dennis Rodman
Dennis the menace
Dennis is a South Park kid.
He did what he want😅😅😅😅
Dennis Rodman most most most underrated contributor to the game / the bullls/detroit/San Antonio .. on the court he was always there and on point... that NBA league was built differently..new league soft.
Dennis was doing cardio all night long. He had a long line of workout partners.
Rodman was an animal. But even a regular guy won’t fall out of shape in 4 days. Shit huberman pry somewhere saying take 4 rest days
Welcome to the Marine Corps….
Dennis could take a year off and hed still be in better shape than 99% of players
No! U think the man ain’t put in no training when nobody was watching!
True story - Dennis was all adrenaline!!!
Hahahahahaa
@@earlrainey9088 you took this too seriously and literally
And as the game went on he would get more energy he has monstorvenergy
Moral of the story, even the GOAT hates conditioning lmao
lol YES
Not even, LeBron loves his conditioning training every day.
@@DonovenGrey plug your ears and keep telling yourself that Lebron is the goat, it’ll never make it true 😂
Y'all praise mamba mentality then in the same breath praise this bullshit. This is not goat behavior
@@asdjklalsfnFr😂
Dennis was that one student who was always absent & never seen while taking test/exams .. but yet managed to pass and be in same grade as you
My brother too 😂😁😂😅😅😅lol
Right lol always catch up 😂
Me too and I never came to class with my text books and it drove the teachers mad. They would always wonder how I pass my exam. I would read all of my texts books within the first 2months of the school year
Shit, I had a classmate like that back in college.
Mofo even came in drunk durin an exam and he fuckin aced it.
@Kenzoemoneybags that's amazing dude, I was only able to do that in math. Those other subjects I probably could've been qualified to eat lunch at 10 a.m. and get out of school at 1:45 p.m. if you know what I mean
Dennis was a freak of nature.
Sorry for asking, but were there any suspicions about using of PEDs? I mean, to have that stamina at 38, while partying with Madonna, it is simply... impossible.
Or maybe he really was a freak of nature. But the great student of the game, too.
@@predragnikolic5807 Who knows. He was definitely a party animal then would pull down 20 rebs like nothing.
@@rafaelvega538 Yes. At age 38?! How...? There is only so much you can do woth your body. Look at Harden. Party animal, and it showed in his year 33. Though, Rodman had impecable work ethic.
@@predragnikolic5807human body is different to anyone hell you can even see Vince at the age of 46 dunking
@@andretarrobal1964 Yes, Wince is, indeed, freak of nature himself. I'm just thinking how Dennis used to party so much, and yet, to be in the great condition, on the highest level possible. Though, the other players had said that he worked out like nobody else at that time. I like Rodman, and co sider him the best rebounder ever, and he is the great champion. I just ask myself if what he did, on that level, is possible at that age. Though, in the last year, both Rodman and Pippen had injuries, and Rodman kinda declined.
MJ and Rodman may have never been friends or had any type of relationship off the court, but the respect they have for each other is huge
1000%
They good friends now that they’re older
Kobe would’ve NEVER told his teammates to run slower🤔
@@jermob6956that's Kobe man, it took him till his last season for everyone to recognise his real personality outside the Black Mamba
Sorry to say that Kobe is getting forgotten in time
I think Phil Jackson called Dennis "the most athletic player". He was incredibly strong, fast , had stamina, and had extreme basketball understanding.
Don’t forget Dennis has asthma too 🤦🏾♂️
Phil Jackson was right about Dennis. He took his athleticism and exercising seriously. Even after games, after running up and down on the court during those games, he was known not to rest and relax like other players but instead go immediately into the locker room and do some workouts on the stairmaster or treadmill.
@@ThaNauticaGodhad* asthma
Which is crazy as late as he picked up the game that's why he couldn't shoot
And the absolute worst jump shot in the history of the game
Mentally, Rodman never left.
He never did. The thing with media is that reporters will find any bullshit reports or rumors to ruin their career. Take Jordan's gambling for example. Like people are just hammering him with his gambling addiction, but who are they to decide how to run his life.
Muscle memory
And Dennis was one of the oldest on the team.
In a human sense he’s still very much in his physical prime which can last into an elder age but of course in basketball years he’s ready for retirement plans and aarp memberships 😂
And he has asthma
@@elsebygtfo ! Dam
He respects his work and he was already a champ before he got that. Scottie wouldn’t have shit without MJ that’s the difference
Rodman rode NO ONE coattails
Rodman ran like a gazelle and can’t ever recall him looked out of breath.
That's cause he was a taurus ♉️ nothing can stop a bull 🐂
& he was asthmatic 😳
If you can’t recall means you don’t really watch the game
You can hear the old frustration he had with Dennis when he says "IT TOOK US 4 LAPS TO CATCH UP TO DENNIS!"😂😂😂
Dennis was arguably the MVP of the Bulls' second threepeat. He never slumped, guarded Shaq 1-on-1, and as this shows, nobody could slack off around him.
Superman Batman and Rodman
Well yeah. It was genius pairing the greatest rebounder of all time with the biggest ball hog of all time.
Michael Jordan said Dennis was MVP of the second 3peat too.
Even the GOAT complained a bit about the Worm's work ethic, that tells you a whole lot.
Umm Dennis Rodamn was NEVER out of shape !
At all the ninja lived in the gym I remember him saying he used to stay nights in there
MJ respects Rodman more than Pippen.
Not at all
Careful, pippen might sue you lol
i think the whole team did too
@@Swayzee33these days he probably does. Pip has talked some trash about Mike in recent years.
Chuck Daly the head coach of the pistons said Dennis was the most popular guy in the team in his second season. Dennis would get on the stair climber or elliptical qfter thebgame for half and hour. He was and is quite eccentric but he has serious work ethic and he was a phenomenal athlete.
The idea that Dennis didn’t want to be around his teammates but would do anything for them to help them win is so fascinating
That's incorrect. Nobody, even contractually, wanted to be around or associated with @DennisRodman based on his appearance and Rodman STILL stood by, protected, backed, provided, and wanted to do anything for his teammates including @MichaelJordan who told the owner and coach that @DennisRodman was not allowed to ever speak to him is fascinating.
We all have our own inner Dennis, the leave me the fuck alone if I’m doing my job right, there’s nothing to talk about.
Moral of the story. He was always in shape no matter what he did 😂
He was the greatest rebounder in the NBA!he knows the ball where go'en!
Yeah Dennis was the best at locating balls😂
Naw Bill Russell And Wilt are but I'll definitely agree he's in the top 5
@@jimmy2tymes0071 Actually, I would only put Moses Malone at the same tier with Rodman rebounding-wise. Why? The pace of the game was much faster when Wilt and Bill played. A lot of misses, too. Also, Dennis had to fight with some of the best centers all-time for these rebounds.
And yes, it is known that Rodman studied how certain players shoot, how the ball rotate, so he could anticipate where the ball is gonna go after they miss. It is something that Jokić does naturally, but Rodman took that concept to the next level. Also, most people tend to forget that after defensive rebound Rodman was very good at passing to the leaking players in fastbrake. A lot of easy points.
I'm not saying Rodman is certainly the best rebounder of all time, but to get 15 rebounds per game for the whole season in a slow-paced game, to have two 11 offensive boards in the Finals, and to successfully guard (em, just slow down, realky, but still) some of the best players 1-5: Magic, MJ, Bird, Malone and Barkley, Shaq... That really says something about how important The Worm was for the Bulls' second three-peat.
And yes - Rodman should've won Finals MVP in 1996 against Supersonics. Their coach daid that himself.
@@jimmy2tymes0071thank you.
Dennis’ less than subtle fouls while rebounding and then acting like he doesn’t know why the other player is reacting will forever be entertaining 😂
Love how Dennis needed Vegas, and MJ found a new respect for him.
LeChoke could never!
"Dennis get in shape drill" 😅
Rodman: I took that personally.
MJ: Hey, that's my line.
Phil: *thinking* I'm so going to enjoy my blunt later.
Normal people run from pain, pain runs away from The Menace
Is this going to be the Chuck Norris of Basketball?
I really appreciate Michael Jordan you really do honestly respect Dennis Rodman
How can he not? All Dennis did was dominate the boards game in, game out. Easily among the greatest defensive players of all time. He never tired, he would outwork everyone!
Of course, off court shenanigans aside Dennis always played his role and delivered.
Yall see that smile on Mike face . He loved that shit low key .. he knew dennis was a dawg he wanted definitely at that point
Exactly.
Agreed
Rodman's in great shape to this day at 62 years old.
His physical endurance was amazing, he's the first athlete to have the treadmill in the aisles in the arenas, he would get on the treadmill during a game when he felt himself getting stiff.
Bull energy ♉️🐂👌🏾
For all of Rodman’s eccentric ways he was a consummate professional. He was a very gifted athlete and very intelligent.
And he doesn't get nearly enough credit for that.
its a hall of fame..
@@deakon071
I recall he got permission to take the vacation.
@@AndyWrasman He sure did. Phil Jackson approved it if I remember right.
I know a person like this. no matter what. just always in shape 4 anything. they can party all nite. then run laps around every body on the court. the next day. I b like well. Damn. they straight up beasts
Dennis did his job. They need the ball with Dennis and he’s a greatest rebounder in NBA history end of story!
Firmly believed Dennis rodman was main reason bulls got to 3 peat again definitely reason why pistons won 2 championships no doubt one of greatest defensive players in NBA history
I believe Dennis had a totally different mindset than the other players. When it was time to go he pushed HARD❤️🔥👏
Went hard with everything he did. That was both a blessing and a curse
Dennis showed coach and the rest of the team, he was always in shape.
This is great The Worm straight up fire
Micheal respected him. Dennis had soul.
Dennis was a different kind of beast. He was eclectic and different but when he gets that self satisfied, he gets back to business.
Dennis the Menace as usual 😂
Phil is a guineas at team building
Genius
"DENNIS DA MENACE".💯🏀❤🔥👍🏽
"HE WAS ALWAYS ON POINT"!!!
-- MIKE
Michael is the embodiment of just dedication and HARD work to get to the level of skill and athleticism he was at. And also to become a leader of that caliber where Phil would say something as coach, but the players listened to Michael. Dennis must be the polar opposite of that, raw talent and skill, unbelievable strength and power purely based off of his FREAK genetics that made him elite compared to everyone else. And even coming from Michael to say that regardless of Dennis’ actions he was ALWAYS on point says a lot about Dennis as a player on that team and that Michael saw and knew what they had in him.
The Dennis stories were the most interesting part of the last dance. We need a Dennis Rodman documentary
Dennis wrote a book and it was excellent!
Until you hear about the North Korean slave girls he raped.
There was one on ESPN!!
Dennis was on another level
Totally.
Dennis is really pro player, he was 20 years ahead compare to other players
Dennis Rodman was a professional NBA player on the court his entire career.
Dennis was just a natural athlete
AWESOME THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES.
Dennis was touched. What a athlete!
Loved this story. My man Dennis.
Dennis is just built different.
For a guy that hated the Pistons so much, he sure needed to get one to win 3 rings, lol.
True, he got Dennis, salley and Edwards
Its funny, he'll be remembered as a bull
Im gonna screenshot this comment and send it to my Pops cause it’s gonna definitely make his day… Bad Boys 4 Life✊🏾
Sir, he already had 3 rings before Dennis joined the team 🤷🏽♂️
@@realbrotha3059 There's no way in hell he would have gotten his last 3 without him.
Dennis Rodnan was not only fast, but he had a nightmare verticle leap that rivalled MJ. This is why he was an excellent glass cleaner 👍😂😎
I never heard he had a great vertical leap, and in fact, he took most of his rebounds below the rim (using superior positioning and anticipation for where the rebound would go).
Love these two together
Rodman is legendary
Dennis was a freak. One of those athletes, like Jon Jones in MMA, who was just made for his field of work. Other players wouldn't have been able to do what he did.
People use to say that Dennis was just clowning but the attitude he had on the court is who he was off the court . I met him back in the day in Dallas at a club when he played for the Spurs.
Phil tries to get Dennis in shape .: Dennis’s shape enter the chat , shows up , and takes it personal !
2 gifted legends
Freak of nature! Stamina was always on point 💪🏽
Dennis Rodman has to be the greatest teammate ever. Every team Dennis was on his teammates has stories like this. He didn’t give two fcks he did what he wanted to do. But when he stepped on that court it was all business.
Dennis was a beast.
A lot of people don’t understand what it takes to get rebounds, especially consistently. While also still playing good defense. There is a lot of hustle involved. PF, C gang. The biggest men on the court have to run the farthest, quicker than everyone else. 💯
I loved it when we got worm 🪱 the Pistons didn’t care abt him we took care of Dennis he speaks more abt his bulls years than Detroit bc they left him in a parking lot w a loaded shotgun #Rodmanforever
Wtf ? Elaborate plz

let someone who from Detroit explain.. chuck daily.. left the team once chuck left.. Dennis had no father figure, his ex wife took his little girl away from him. that's the reason he was in the parking lot... nothing to do with the Detroit pistons organization. What Dennis like to do off the court... totally out of the hands of the team! you should just delete this whole.. made up bull crap!! Detroit made DENNIS RODMAN!!! GAVE HIM HIS CHANCE 👋 🤧 ❤️

They did Indian Wind Sprints. We used to do it in basic training during PT.

Jordan is so humble he’ll actually tell these stories where he shows his mistakes. Jordan is def the goat.
Legendary. I hated Rodman as a Piston, but goddamn was I happy when we got him.🤣🤣
That grin he had 😂😂
How much better could Dennis Rodman have been if he got his proper rest and laid off the tobacco and alcohol!!! Very very few of even the best NBA players had the stamina that Dennis had!!! Amazing!!!
That’s a real “killer mentality” half assing conditioning drills
It is if you aren’t a dork. You don’t understand because you’re a dork. It’s hard for nerds. It’s ok though. Bye dork.

It’s gotta be an unbelievable feeling to hear Michael Jordan say that you were always on point. Good video

I remember the Indian drill. In baseball. Basketball and football. In and out of pads. And i used to punish ppl. Anytime i saw fit in that shit. Always depended on my mood, that day. MJ right though. Shit is torture. You gotta take control of it. If you are in control.....everything runs on you.
Dennis knew what was up and basically gave them a nonverbal F you!
Dennis rodman Kevin Durant Reggie Miller Hakeem the dream and Tim Duncan🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 that's my five
Rodman was the x factor being he didn't need score or barley also defended Shaq, Malone, he could guard the center or pf, he get you 10 or 20 rebounds and the bulls would win .
Dennis was the link they needed!!!!!!!!!💯
I hate when they try and compare him to other players. Imo he's underrated...
THIS MAN WOULD COUNT ROTATIONS ON BASKETBALL SHOTS OF OPPOSING TEAMS PRE-GAME JUST TO REBOUND MORE ACCURATELY. HE WILL NEVER BE REPLICATED.
I remember that vacation. Man just straight up disappeared. Took a break.
Phil Jackson did not study plays, Phil studied human nature.
Rodman started playing basketball in his 20's, yet made it to the Hall of Fame. Imagine if he started playing earlier like everyone else.
I didn't like Dennis when he was with Detroit but I liked him when he played for the BULLS
Years ago, my old basketball coaches
“Doc” Thornton & coach Bratcher (Carver High School, Memphis, Tennessee) called that the Soultrain Line!!! They ran the $#!+ out of us with that one!!!
I’m thankful for all they taught me and truly miss them!!! Good men!!!
Even with his quirks he was one fit brother on the court, do you remember how high his steps were getting back and forth... A defensive legend
Always there always on point...always doing there job-Professional.
So even Michael Jordan was lazy AF.
