Living out here in the Smoky Mountains, I like my shot gun myself, especially with those pesty Copper Heads crawling around. One of those suckers got my dog cost me $3k in vet bills, so I've got no pity at all just plenty of ammo. Black snake's and his buddy's are all welcomed along with the bears, turkey's birds etc. Copper Heads..........Chick Chick Pow.
Using weed whacker (or any thin material) can potentially injure the snake. If you don't intend to injure the snake, 1/4" braided nylon or cotton rope is much better at reducing injury to the snake once caught in the noose. Just an FYI.
You should not be sorry for the camera you should be sorry for the snake there are snake hook's and tong you know you where hurting the snake but sorry i get mad wen i see People hurting these misunderstood creatures
he didn't hurt him, fool. He is teaching everyone hack to rescue them safely rather than killing those harmless animals. You should be appreciative about it
This is the best video for a snake stick that I've seen! You could also use some more pvc for a handle on the pull end too, right? Thank you so much for a great DIY video! Edit: Awwwww, you saved him/her! That's so cool! I do NOT want to be terrified of snakes anymore but dang it's hard..... Also curious, do you know if it's really a death sentence to relocate a snake more than a mile from where it is caught? I've read that so many times so I want to know before I try to do such. I am a new chicken mommy and I have had to deal with 4 rat snakes in a week and a half. I think 2 of the times, it was the same snake but the other two, I think they were different. We let the first 3 go by just moving them to the furthest part of our backyard, but this last one was stressing my chickens out so bad and it had to go bye bye. Please know that I do NOT ever want to end a snakey's life. I am spending so so much time learning about them to get over my fear. I feel sick that we had to make that choice for this one that was scaring my girls to the point that they didn't lay a single egg in their nest boxes today. I lovvvve animals so much (way more than humans tbh) and I felt so, so heartbroken to the point of tears for having to make that choice. I'd rather relocate them safely if it's not going to kill them for being moved more than a mile away. I am going to make one of these catchers this weekend so I can catch them myself in the future. My hubs has been wonderful with the first three and just grabbed them by their tail and guided their heads with a simple rake, to relocate to the back of our yard. I know I wouldn't be able to do that because I'd freak out if they looked like they were bowing up to bite me. If I had something like this, I would feel much safer in terms of relocating.
I made something similar to that with a 2.4 metre length of 32 mm PVC. I used a soft braided rope because there is less chance of that injuring the snake. The loop is perpendicular to the pipe and there is no need to feed it up the pipe, though I might try that. Normally, we just let our snakes do their thing. They don't bother us and we don't bother them but if I had one in the house, or somewhere else worrying, I would either call a professional snake catcher (we need people like that in Australia) or use my gadget. It's good enough to get a snake into a container to be released somewhere that suits us and the snake.
Yes he would have... He could still have one if he ever subscribes to my channel... That's why I added a warning on the title.. so noone can take me to court if they fall out of a heart attack when the snake appears.... lol

That worked surprisingly well, though I like my double barrel one for poisonous snakes.
Yeah I still prefer a sharp shovel blade for CopperHeads… LOL
thanks

I think the T works better
I have to agree...
So simple, good work

as soon as I saw the weed eater string I knew my tool will be the weed eater itself
But... Your snake 🐍 must be fully Drunked 😂
That made a nice and simple project. Good job
Hopefully someone will watch this and Catch and release NON poisonous snakes instead of chopping their heads off... Thank you !!!
Good job with the snake catcher. Fortunately I haven’t had to do any of that yet
Thanks Joe !!! Yeah I usually just use a stick on their head and pick them up by hand.. But this made for a good youtube video...lol
Good sir
I still prefer my BB gun catcher.
This is a better alternative... LOL They eat Mice ??? that's a good reason … LOL
Dave would have had a heart attack if he was there.

Nice and simple.
Thank you 🙂
this is the way to harm a snake
Better then chopping their heads off like most people do !
