Surviving vs Thriving - The Cost of Unmet Needs - Mars

This video describes a perspective on life where needs often go unmet, but survival is prioritized. It uses Mars as a metaphor for the part of the psyche that signals emergencies when needs arise. In childhood, these signals may be ignored, leading to survival strategies that involve not having needs met. As adults, this pattern persists unconsciously, leading people to choose relationships where their needs will similarly be ignored. This cycle continues because it worked for survival in childhood, but it ultimately results in unfulfilling and unhappy lives.
