“I have brought the best Principal to the Higher Secondary School,” Bhagawan said, nay declared, as He lovingly held the arm of Prof D S Habbu and introduced him to the dignitaries seated in the Prasanthi Nilayam Mandir. It was the initial months of 1983, the first year of Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School, Prasanthi Nilayam.
For many, who were witness to this episode, it was another beautiful evening with the Lord; but for the bespectacled and humble professor, it was a bolt from the blue. He did not know how to react, but to bend down with folded hands, and express how beholden he was to the Lord for granting him such a precious opportunity to play a part in His mission.
For nine years he spearheaded all the activities of this noble institution under the direct guidance of Bhagawan.
In this narration recorded in 2008, late Prof Habbu takes us back to those formative years of the school and recalls for us how every single facet of this sacred school was personally crafted by Swami for His students.

Sairam. Was longing to see an interview of Habbu sir. He is an ardent devotee , so humble and simple. Happy to have visited his house whenever I visited parthi for seva. Uncle and aunty always called me home for lunch. Uncle is such a gem of a human being. SSSMC please make more such videos with Habbu sir. A request to your team. Sairam. My daughter has been praying to see him in some photograph and I found a treasure hunt today. Shall surely make her see this when she's home .
