If you turn off raids, Rimworld feels like a normal city building game.
I mean, it actually is. If you set the lowest difficulty, the game becomes very chill and safe. Way to make it accessible for a wider range or players.
@@kaschey6145 and then there's me, losing on peaceful with Phoebe Chillax T_T
@@raicantgame6634 Wow, somehow, I've never got any notifications about this comment. How did that happen? Tough climate?
@@kaschey6145 It's usually something between tough climate and me just being really bad at the game/making poor choices.
@@raicantgame6634 Welp, failing and learning from mistakes is the fun part of the game in my opinion so it's fine.
I kinda wish the hospitality mod came with a win condition of "become a resort so famous that some glitterworld travel agency and resort chain offers to buy your resort out and give everyone a ride to live on whatever relatively nearby glitterworld they operate out of."
Neat idea!
Isnt it basically doing the archeonexus quest but with a hotel
@@The_Lute777 I believe you're thinking of the ending where you join the empire, as you become so royal that the empire offers to just take you away and let you buy a space ship.
The way I've been playing lately, I feel like any attempt to open a hotel will quickly turn into a horror movie for the guests😳 anyone else?
Yeah. Come visit the abandoned city. We promise you won’t be eaten by wargs :-)
H H Holmes moment
Worth the try
My guests have loved seeing the floor collapse into a hell hole of spider-like giants.
I had a mortal shell hit a guest bedroom dead on once and it pushed their faction over the edge to being hostile towards me.
I've always stayed away from Dubs Hygiene and Gastronomy due to thinking they were always unnecessary bloat mods. Both your videos have changed my mind now that I get to see them in action and have them explained in detail. They are now both permanently in my mod order!
I love to hear this!! :D
Just wanting to mention, sometimes guests will decide to stay in your colony if they have enough friends as an “ambassador”. This will cause no relation loss and no mood loss.
Great point!!
Love these mod walkthroughs. Really helps set up themed playthroughs now that I'm hundreds of hours in and looking to keep it fresh
thanks for watching! :)
In my favorite playthrough with Hospitality, I made a large hotel run by cannibals inspired by the movie Hotel Hell. After this video, I'm going to try to make a hacienda: a ranch combined with a hotel and restaurant. Thank you for the great tutorial.
JADZ IS QUEEN
ily!
@@Jadziax MORE ALWAYS
My last two play throughs have been desert hotels. Travelers through the desert stop, replenish food reserves and buy new equipment and clothing. I have about 15 guest beds varying rooms sizes. I probably make about 300-500 silver just from the shopping and then happy guests leave gifts (15 glitterworld medicine when the empire left last time.)
Most of my neighboring factions are now Allies as they get a relationship boost from staying. Which is helpful when Raiders show up and the allies send friendlies to help defend my desert inn.
I am definitely going to try to add Gastronomy to see if we can handle a restaurant also.
That sounds like an awesome experience!!
Even though so far you've only featured mods I already use I've been loving this series. Great way to show my friends different ways they can improve their rimworld experience. Great content
Damn, this is video is underrated, and its still not outdated? Damn, you deserve my subscription.
No shiit... Did not know there was that much to it. Nice video.
These mods look fantastic! I'm glad I left my laptop at home, or I would be spending this whole Christmas period on Rimworld for these
YES! ORGAN HARVESTING HOTEL AND BUFFET!
I JUST installed Gastronomy the other day, thanks for the handy explanation! Can't wait for the grand opening of the Cannibal Hotel!
I liked the old versions of hospitality where if they had enough friends you didn't get the rep hit but I understand why they changed it.
Also it took me longer than I'd like to admit to find the food options. I'm not a big fan of having mod options in multiple places.
This hasn’t been changed. It’s just not a 100% chance now, and it’s also based on their ideology. If they’re bigots, they won’t join you without a big relations debuff. But if they’re more friendly, they can offer to join as an ambassador, which causes no debuffs
I don't think I've ever had a guest offer to join but that might be luck. I've had plenty of refugees make the offer but most of them have been awful pawns. No dumb and no skilled labor? Yeah no thanks buddy.
Ill have to get this once Im done with my Medieval playthrough! Great vid Jadz. Quality vid Jadz.
I can see why you have said that "You wish you were running the mod, But..." in your previous streams. Looks like a nice addition, I'll be trying that, Thank You!
I wanted to use the first mod long time ago, but I stopped because i was too impressed about it and confused.
Lovely tutorial, you've explained quite well how it works. :D And the second mod is a nice surprise that will help give immersion.
I am just worry about how much money to charge, idk if it is too much, and if the visitors will be unhappy about it.
Oooooooh this looks really fun!!!! 👀👀👀 love the desert resort!
Another incredibly helpfull and complete mod walkthrough. Thanks!
Informative as usual, thank you!
Fantastic mods and really good tutorials explaining them.
Thanks so much!
Thanks for your vids, my multi gen medieval family hotel playthrough was possible in big part because of you!
Stop making good content, I can’t stop watching 😭
Haha I appreciate you :)
You explained this mod so well, homie. Made me install it, top quality work!
wow, this really opened my eyes to this mod, now it all makes sense! :)
Love these mods, two of my favorites.
this cleared up a lot of things. thx so much!
Awesome video, honestly this is one of the best tutorials I've seen for any game.
Why thank you :) I put a ton of time into my tutorial vids so that means a lot to hear!
I didn't know you could adjust guest numbers, that'd save so much trouble in rushing to put together rooms for big parties
That is an amazing explanation video, thanks a lot! Helps me a great deal to find my way around handling it. Bonuspoints for presenting it in a very cute way, cheers!
Thanks for the mod showcase. I will finally be able to open the organ harvesting hotel in rimworld.
Thank you for the review! Just what I was looking for!
Super cool mods! This would be a nice break from the death and misery from normal playthroughs!
Never got the hang of it. I use hospitality and it works fine, but I never grasped how Gastronomy worked. Thank you so much for that little walk through, I'll definetivly try it again... after my main colonists left and the former slaves are now free to take over their home of 5 years.
"I feel bad if the guests go hungry"
Meanwhile I had that one colony where slaves weren't allowed to sleep, the only time they slept was when they passed out on the floor from exhaustion. I did eventually give them a few hours of sleep and a rest spot, just mostly cause I was annoyed by the notifications all the time.
Nice. Thanks for the tips
Love your videos and tutorials. So easy to understand how the mechanics work and replicate for myself.
Please make more!
This was pretty helpful. I had all the ins and outs of this mod down but I didn't know about guests eating for free overriding the shopping area. I made a lil shop for my android to work at but they kept taking stuff. I was gifting guests silver cause I felt bad that she was just standing there and no one bought anything.
Great video Jadz! quality video Jadz!
jadzHmph
Thanks for the great guide!
that was very helpful and succinct. Thank you. I use Hospitality all the time but not Gastronomy.
You're welcome, thanks so much :)
Nice clear easy to follow walkthrough.
Yay!
[Edit] It seems youtube hasn't been pushing your uploads to me so that explains why i have seen nothing for ages.
I'd love a video talking about your mod list. You've inspired me to start a new game and try to build and run a resort :) +Subscribed!
Thank you. Very good guide
After months of having hospitality
I never used it
Now that I've seen this
Ill be using this mod more now
Thank you
I already use hospitality and I love it, but this is my first time seeing the restaurant and ... I LOVE IT 😂😻
It is sooo fun!! I'm obsessed!
Wow that sounds like a fun way to play
I've used Hospitality before but the Gastro one looks pretty cool too
Great video thank you so much :D
This blew my mind
i like the way you edit these videos i hope u make more!
What a great tutorial
Thanks so much :)
2:15 Sky-high expectations, can't afford a bed...
you have such a calming voice
Hospitality is my favorite mods. the free help makes big bases easier
I love hospitality, I bought the royalty dlc because I heard it has hospitality elements its so chill and wish it was part of the main game xD
I installed both of these mods and never ended up using them, so I uninstalled them to de clutter my mod list.
This video has made me reinstall them and start a new playthrough
I love to hear this!
I'm just surprised to see a RimWorld player that doesn't violate every aspect of the Geneva Convention.
RimWorld: War crimes are not the solution, they are the question.
And the answer is "yes".
I love to play this mod with zombieland,It's so hard, but it's so fun.
Oh my god, that desert resort is SUCH a wonderful idea! I always try to reserve a small area in my regular settlement for hospitality stuff, why did it never occur to me to do it the other way around? :o
Other rimworld players: WAR CRIMES YEAH!!!
You: guests that dont receive any free food make me feel bad.
Biotech has made the hospitality mod even better, free subjects 😂😂
Another upload, another chance for me to miss the archotech babies :')
Thanks!
good content!!
thank you Rod!!
Fantastic
About to renovate my colony and will try to incorporate gastronomy based on this information (never used it before because yes it's a massive irritation to micro everything for guests). Issue is trying to also incorporate empire mod and so having super important vip guests is going to be the bigger issue. Neither tenants or hospitality lets you automatically define hostile guests from vip/patrons so there's still micro needed.
Lmao her being sad visitors get the debuff for being too poor sold me on subbing because same, I’m like poor baby sleep anywhere I’m sorry
I agree hospitality changes the game a lot.
Like the tutorial , guests are amazing sources of free gifts .. like components .. I charge 0 except for a roomswith a private baths made of jade or silver ..
I hadn't realized that there's women who play Rimworld, but it suddenly makes a lot of sense since my ex and my female cousin were really into Sims.
Berry helpfull
when trying the second method with guests taking food for free from designated zone, one guest took 59 items of lettuce.
Really interesting mod. I was considering adding this, however, I was worried about certain aspects that you've now put to rest! My major concern is still raiders and mechanoids.
Yeah, if you want to make a full resort style colony just for RP, I would recommend turning off mechs or playing on very low difficulty. If you prioritize guest happiness and luxury, your wealth will be disproportionately high compared to your number of actual colonists that can fight.
@@Jadziax Despite this, I'm choosing to download the mod! I have plenty of food and stuff to go around! Plus I think it could be really useful to get rid of all the extra drugs and drinks I have lying around. I'll just make certain they're VERY protected.
You aren't giving up on tundra island are you?
looking on such nice designs of everything... Man, I am very crude minded ;c
most of my colonies dont look like this lmao
Before I try building everything to try this... With the cash register and "allow colonists" it says "colonists will make orders". Well I have 2 questions: is there a benefit to doing that instead of just having them get their own food and also is it possible to find a way where you basically split a map in half and some colonists from one half the map can go to the other half, order food and leave money then leave? I know that sounds weird but the "allow colonists" seems like little purpose if they are not paying or getting some form of benefit and it would be cool in multiplayer if they would grab money from their stock pile, go over and pay the other person at their restaurant.
I love these mods but whether i dey tables to dining all of my pawns stop eating entirely to the point of starvation. Do you have any idea why this might be?
this is so helpful thank you.
Is it possible to have a Restaurant run by slaves?
i was playing with the cults mods and had a forbidden knowledge station kept getting guests from the agency they kept finding the thing wich should make the agency hostile but they were always so happy that it canceled out and they would leave me gifts
And to crank it up to Rimworld/10, you just need to sell the guests meals made out of the human meat of former guests, or nutrient paste made out of the organs of former guests.
What software do you use to record these kinds of tutorials?
Streamlabs :)
do gastro guests pay using silver from their inventory (that is used for trade...and i think its also shared to buy things from your shopping area) or is it separate from it?
it's from their inventory, if they don't have enough they won't be able to eat anything.
when i set the cash register to open my colonists wont take orders and get stuck standing therefore starving. what should i do?
How do you get those fridges/freezers? like on 5:00
They look so usefull, id much rather use that then make another walk in fridge.
the mod is RimFridge
A quick question. What mod is that? the drinks... 5:53
What are the other mods you are using in this video? Can you make a list of them? Is it all by the same person that made the other mods?
I have both DLCs turned on, and the other mods you are probably noticing visually are GloomyFurniture and Dubs Bad Hygiene. I am also using a variety of QoL mods in the background, the list is here: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2655906195
👍
hey, can you tell which mod the shelves at 5:00 are from? cheers!
The fridges are from [KV] rimfridge and the shelves are base game shelves! Just made of stone
Curious if you have any tips for guest zoning to have groups from factions hostile to each other staying at the same time?
I haven't encountered this myself, but you could certainly make 2 different guest areas that didn't overlap, and individually set them to each pawn depending on their faction in the Guest tab.
@@Jadziax from my *very* limited experiments it works okay-ish while they're checked in, but they blunder into one another on the way in or out and the ensuing massacre of the tribals isn't good for my reputation...
Do you need royalty for these mods?
Do guests from Hospitality replace the visitors in vanilla? Or will you still get vanilla visitors who don't use the guest beds? Do trading caravans use the guest beds?
Also - can you get guests from hostile factions or only allied/neutral?
They don't replace visitors or traders. It's a new group type ("Guests"). And only allied or neutral factions will come to stay unfortunately!
@@Jadziax Thanks! I'll probably just turn off vanilla visitors in the scenario options then.
This is all just baiting the trap for more organ donations 😁👌
I like your voice 😊
question. Does the shop and guest area have to overlap or not?
np, found out my answer why no one was buying anything. I didn't have their allowed zone cover the shop too
wierd. the button on bed for guest dont work? somebody have that problem too?
