A heads up… the suggested sealant (Duragloss) is not recommended for interior use and is flammable. May be a similar product out there intended for interior use that will do similar job. The floor mats are awesome out of box and fit perfectly.
Great tip! I bought the Maxpider mats for my MY and really like the fit, look and durability. As you mentioned, they aren't cheap so I appreciate the advice on protecting them... I only have 2,600 miles on my car so I should be able to get them to look pretty close to new.
3D Maxpider mats installed and sealed from day 1. Really like the look and feel of the mats and appreciate the review of the mats that were sealed vs not. Have WeatherTech in my wife's car and she got in the Y and said, "these are REALLY nice mats!" Yep and expensive, but hopefully worth it. I don't think the WeatherTechs wear very well and are so "plasticy" and slippery and noisy. Had a set that my heel actually wore a hole though them. Thanks BTG.
I have not bought any accessories for my Tesla Model Y, yet. Because, I still do not have one. But, I once I get a VIN number, I’m going to order mats, screen protector, and PPF film, first thing. Thanks for the video, and mat recommendation.
As always, great reviews and information! Any future update videos regarding the differences between the model Y being built in Austin vs Fremont.... specifically frame and battery.
How do you secure them to the floor especially the driver side one . I literally tried everything and they keep moving around . I tried those klaw anchors and drilled very small holes in the carpet and they still ended up moving around !! Please help
The Tesla 3D Maxpider ones seem to be better made than the ones I had for my LEAF. The leaf ones didn't fit well, and the hole where the logo attaches is not raised like any hole through a WeatherTech mat. which meant when you have snow on your boots and it puddles on top of the mat, the water would leak through at the logos if you didn't silicone it underneath
weather tech is what we have in other car and like them, they've worked well. for my MYP though i saw the bad reviews on how they don't cover the dead pedal that well, so decided to go with Tesmanian and really like those too. Honestly the Tesmanian fit the Tesla better than my WT fit my other car, so thats a plus.
6:05 the dude uses different filters to show that the 40k mat looks better. To see that he uses different filters, check the concrete colour on the background. It is not the first time when I see that he is trying to show that the product he advertising is good, but in fact he just manipulates the light angle, applying filters etc.
Hey quick question. I'm considering ordering a Tesla from their inventory site and most of them have FSD included. Do you know if they still allow you to remove FSD? I remember you mentioning you can remove it before delivery but not sure if it works. Also, does it work for new cars only or demo cars too? Thank you

Thanks for sharing. It does fume for a short period of time. Maybe I need to test the flammability of it

I don’t know why people like weathertech mats so much. They are ugly, slippery when wet and don’t look good after a year
Outstanding educational Video. I will be purchasing Duragloss 271 to seal my new 3D Maxpider Kagu floor liners.
Cheers
Good advice, would have thought to use the duragloss. Thanks
Cheers
is this working also carpets of interior?
You can’t put this sealer on carpet

Where is the link to buy this product?
In the description
Yo you got a discount code for that Dawn dish soap?!
Haha

Can’t wait to get my hands on an Austin build
Do they dry easily after applying water? How long you it took to dry?
Yea they don’t really absorb water so they dry fast
Just got my M3 LR yesterday; what are the most important things I need to do to protect my car? What accessories are most important to get?
PPF, ceramic and hood floor mats
"officially" it's not spring for a few more days ;)
Great video!
Here in Indiana we don’t follow the calendar, we take what we get haha
How long does the sealer last? How often do you reapply?
lasts a long time. I like to reseal once a year after a deep clean
Thank you for the video! I have been trying to find a way to keep my floor mats vibrant and non slippery.
Cheers
do you have a link for the small bottle of sealer? Your link is for the 1 gal container.
It’s for the small bottle, but I think the small bottle sold out real quickly lol. Should be restocked soon I’d think

Then you don’t have these floor mats. These things have a Velcro like material that makes the entire thing stick.
Good idea. I have a spray bottle of Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer that should serve a similar purpose.
Sealing it is a good idea if you want it to look nice for a longer time

These fit really well and do a great job
We got our mats there. Thanks for the code.
Cheers!
Protecting the mat protector of the carpet that protects the floor of the car. You need to ppf the protected floor mat too, protect the sealer.
But don’t forget the shoe protector to protect the protected mats
My maxspider cargo mats have no grip. Anything i put back there just slides around. Any ideas?
Most mats are going to have that experience. You’d need one that is mostly rubber compound to make things stick. They just wear quicker
Looks like that sealer is not in stock anymore on amazon.
Sold out fast. Will be restocked soon I’d assume
I have the weather tech type of floor mats and they mark up very quickly, like immediately. Do these mats act different or show makes straight away?
Yes, 100%. I am not a fan of weathertech

Yes, on new cars they will remove FSD
I’m just going to ceramic coat mine
that will work
Great video ! Any idea where I can find the sealer in canada ? Or can you buy some and ship it to me haha I’ll pay
Do you not have Amazon?
omg does this channel read my mind? just when i'm wondering about something there's a video lol
Haha, great to hear!!
Could I use the duragloss 271 on tesmanian mats?
Sure
Very Nice Bearded Bro! Get Good People/Tesla!

... the mat pattern is designed to capture dirt. That's the point. Dirt won't bind and will end up elsewhere in the car.
You just vacuum it up
I bought my floor mats so I don’t have to worry about cleaning what’s underneath it. Now you’re telling me I have to clean my floor mats??
I give up.
Haha
So now do I need to buy floor mats to protect my floor mats? ;-)
Haha
ALHAMDULILLAH(SWT) ASTAGHFIRULLAH(SWT).
