I sing this wonderful lyricist’s words everyday 🙏❤️. Without him the Grateful Dead would be unrecognizable

Without Hunter, the Dead are just another Americana band. With Hunter (and Barlow, and Petersen) , they are the greatest band this world has ever seen.

Listening to the slow, pre-anthem Touch of Grey-so sweet.

Hunter's own versions were and remain the only REAL "touch of grey's. Vastly superior to the GD's rearrangement, although I've gotten a lot of disagreement about that.

"Pieces of Eight"...a rare and different tune. I had only heard it on an extrememly scratchy bootleg casette from a performance in S.F. many years ago. It always stayed in my mind.

Go Kevin Tobin Go! Thanks again for posting this show! Really excellent to hear some of these songs that I've only read the lyrics to in the past. I know my Hunter pretty well but a show like this rules for tapping into some of the songs I've never heard played! Mr. Tobin you freakin' rule for posting this stuff. Thanks from the heart dude!!!
