"Golden snail" is a folklore from east java
Once upon a time, there was a king who was very wise. The king has two daughters, the first daughter named Dewi Kirana, and her younger sister named Dewi Galuh. The two princesses are very beautiful, but have different characters.
One day Prince Inu Kertapati proposed Dewi Kirana, Dewi Candra Kirana was very happy. But Dewi Galuh was not happy about that, because she loved Prince Inu. Dewi Galuh has evil intentions by ordering a witch to bewitch Dewi Kirana. Dewi Kirana was bewitched into a golden snail and the curse would disappear when Candra Kirana found her true love, Raden Inu Kertapati.
