Bhuvan Arora as Firoz is fabulous. Firoz is the friend everyone needs. He was so good that I was always afraid that he would be killed at some point because thats how stories go. The most likeable character's destiny is always death.

I m from UP, new to Vijay's work . First time i watched him and i must say, he is easily one of the finest actors i hav ever watched. I wasn't watching him, i was enjoying him. Every word coming out of his mouth was entertainment for me. FARZI , is so damn perfect.

Alcohol is banned in the state of Gujarat, where they made the delivery. The booze was just a distraction for the police checkpoint because alcohol is smuggled illegally in the state of Gujarat. They left the bottles to the buyers and charged them for it because they can't take it back.
Ps: they made the artist deliver the goods so if he gets caught, their name won't come up.

19:00 don't be confused they were going to gujrat(a dry state -no liquor or rum or whisky allowed)so to smuggle wine they gave money to police and this money they have to recover from them only so they took extra for smuggling.

Just to clear the confusion at 19.00 . Liquor is banned in Gujarat, they were like caught for smuggling
They were delivering in Gujrat state and that is a Dry State, means there is total ban on liquor in that state. That's why they did not wanted to take that back with them in vehicle again. It is the same reason they bribed police because they had entered the Gujrat State.

The thing is Liquor is banned in Surat(Gujarat) and it is very common that liquor is smuggled in from neighboring state, Maharashtra. The police at the borders usually will take bride in form of Money or Alcohol and here alcohol was just a decoy to draw attention away from the fake money. Also now that the booze was already in they asked the minister to pay extra for the liquor as well,

About the scene with Michael and his wife, I believe it has to do with Vijay’s dialogue diction. He is a tamil speaker and I believe he’s not really a natural speaker of Hindi and English. Maybe that’s why the scene must have felt dull as he may have had to focus on acting and dialogues and emotion of the scene. Otherwise he’s hell of an actor 🎉

@@jodbey5631 Westernized cinema are consistent with their tone throughout its runtime. If it starts out as a serious drama it does not deviate from being a serious drama. Indian media in contrasts often feels like several genras were blended together.

About the booze scene, let me clear your confusion. Sunny and Firoz were asked to make the delivery in Surat, which is not in the same state as Mumbai. Surat is in a state called Gujarat where liquor is banned and anyone caught with liqour coming into or exiting Gujarat are imprisoned or heavily fined (hence they had to give the bottles plus cash to the cops). Sunny and Firoz asked the politician for money for the booze because they had bought it with the counterfeit money they printed and they couldn't take it back out of the state since there was the risk of getting caught. Sunny and Firoz also bought booze as a way of deceiving the cops (which is why Sunny intentionally kicks the box with booze) since Gujarat is a dry state and they knew they'd not get caught if they offered money plus booze to the cops.
