    What things do you or did you struggle with when starting astrophotography? I want to make videos that help overcome the obstacles in this hobby...leave a comment!

    Thank you so much Zoliro. This video was very very helpful. I was little overwhelmed by the amount of gears you need to start this beautiful hobby. Your video helped me a lot. I think every beginner Astrophotographer should watch this.

    I just realized I am way too simple minded and not educated enough to be able to do this. Thank you for the time you took making this content. Best Break Down I’ve seen yet.

    Encouraging! When I started astro, everyone says 1-2arc second res, mono or die, chroma or trash , 50% weight etc, and 2 years after I gonna say what's wrong with my 135mm lens?And what's wrong with my SWSA? Just try whatever you have, don't jump into the deep rabbit hole right away.

    Personally I think Newtonians are good for nebulae and deep space. I think you just need to select the right size camera sensor and telescope.

    Great video. Exactly what I needed to know since a lot of info, as you say in the beginning of your video, sounds like another language to me. Since I don’t use any photoshop or imaging software, it seems like this hobby would be too difficult for me. I’m gonna start just by observing the skies and familiarizing myself to handling a telescope and where and what things are as far as stars and planets and galaxies, then move to photographing and eventually astrophotography. Looks like even the modest equipment will cost me a lot of money. Thanks again for a great video, one that I can come back to as I go along.

    Is it necessary to have a GoTo system or is it enough to have an equatorial mount. And one more question. Is the equatorial mount alone capable of tracking the object?

    • @markdavis4754
      @markdavis4754 Рік тому

      @jakubpuchaa2641 An equatorial mount that is fitted with a motor drive would work OK. But if you wanted to control everything from a computer and use a guiding scope for long exposures then you would need a GoTo. Hope that helps.

    What would you recommend for stacking? I use an Apple Mac.

    • @ZoliroAstro
      @ZoliroAstro  3 роки тому +2

      I just bought the new Macbook M1 and I use Pixinsight. Pixinsight is often seen by many in the astro community as the top astrophtography software for stacking and processing. I don't know if that's true or not, because I would need to try every stacking program out there... but I really like it. The issue with Pixinsight is that it is not user friendly for beginners. But once you take the time to learn it, it's fantastic software. Another option I see many Mac owners using is Astro Pixel Processor or APP. I've never used it, but I hear it's much more user friendly towards beginners. APP and Pixinsight both have free trials.
