It is obvious they did change direction. This is just as much your mistake, not being able to sound an alarm or navigate out of the way.

Thank you for your comment, however the burden of passing falls to the overtaking (give way/burdened) vessel. The less maneuverable vessel is the stand on vessel and is expected to maintain course/continue operating as they were. In addition, the overtaking vessel is required to sound their horn once or twice - to signal which side they plan to pass on and make the stand-on vessel aware of their intentions. It is never a mistake if the stand on vessel can't navigate out of the way. It is always the responsibility of the more maneuverable vessel to safely navigate around the other vessel.
You also said it's obvious the other boat changed direction, but how is that clear? The video only shows them in the distance and then pans right after I had maneuvered out of their path.
