What are the symtoms of a bad engine mount? I have a clacking sound when going slow over irregular surface, since I bought it back in November last year. The owner told me he thought it was some silent block. I have an appointment next week at Mazda to check it out. Also it seems front suspension is higher than the back one but it has new OEM shock absorbers and springs

Bad vibrations on idle and a lot of road noise. The shifter will move on idle and when slowly taking off in 1st gear you will hear and feel a second long brrrrrrrrr sound. At least that was my symptoms. A clank is probably suspension related!

You should start with the most clapped out rx8 and rebuild it from the ground up, including welding. Sort of like Tavarish did.
