Another great interview Ian! I can so relate to Damon, I admire his courage and honesty. The fact that he believes in his therapy and has actually executed the skills and a thought process that he has been seeking through self-care and professional help.
I love this guy I think he's going to go very far with his comedy career I crack up all the time at his videos and it's nice to hear him be so relatable in this interview
never heard of ths guy but i love him and ill follow and subscribe and support from here on out. We don't need mainstream media or Hollywood we need this kind of content right here real life. Real truth. Much love
I watched this solely to hear the story of how he got fired. Turned out I really enjoyed this. I felt his pain when he said it felt good to just be good at something. I can truly relate to that. Thank you
Great interview. 👍 This guy is so honest about his reality, he's tougher than he thinks being able to self-criticize publicly. Refreshingly honest dude, hope life goes well for him. 🤟
Good work bro! U can’t ever say you were never good at anything until u found comedy. You were a good son, dad, friend, those traits are more important then being good at a job or sport for example. Don’t sell yourself short. Even if u we’re a honest friend or faithful husband, that would make you better then 50% of the population
Wonderful Interveiw Damon Darling is my favorite comedian bub and I came across him on Facebook which is my favorite app! Damon Darling needs to be in a movie ASAP!
I appreciate this interview. It’s really hard to get people to understand certain aspects of the way we are in life. It means so much to me when I hear someone else tell their story and it aligns with my own. Those alcoholic days feel so lit until you realize that you are nothing more than a bum that’s portraying another person while intoxicated, but can’t even afford to be yourself.
Great interview! It's so good to hear about his recovery and sticking with it! I had to laugh at him saying it's his least fav jokes that make it! It seems crazy, but I've heard that from other content creators.
I absolutely LOVE that the story about freezing at a fight came RIGHT before the story about seeing a dude flog his dolphin. He wasn’t willing to do anything about the fight between the two inmates but HOT DAMN one look at another dude smacking it and he said KNOCK IT OFF OR IM GONNA PEOPER SPRAY YOU. Hahahah I couldn’t stop laughing when I compared the two instances
Wow it’s amazing to hear his story and see him out of his usual character, he is very real and inspirational he makes me smile when I watch his videos and I can relate to him I grew up with a single mom I had two younger siblings and a dongle co mom of two boys always made sure they had the best of Everything and also pursing nursing it’s been a C long road off n on due to mental health struggles and single mom life but I’m finally about to apply to RN’ ! Thanks for sharing your story Damon we love u!❤

I went through years where i couldn't function sober but my problem wasn't alcohol it was snorting heroin fentanyl and cocaine/smoke crack till 2 and a half years ago i decided to get into treatment and it was pretty rough.. anyone who wants to get clean has to do it for themselves to better themselves or it won't work it doesn't work if people force you, you have to want help yourself!! 🐱
Dude, you 100% did the right thing by not breaking up that prison fight. Nothing good would have come from that. Sucks you lost your job, but not really. I could never work in a place like that. Cold, steel and concrete… No thanks not for any amount.
Dudeeee! As small of a town as urbana is i love that area going all the way around to even yellowsprings that whole area is just beautiful to drive through
How many people do you recall ever aspiring to be a C/O? I've done the job myself. It"s a tough job, and not for everyone. I got out for many of the same reasons as Damon, just not the job for me. I have alot of respect for the C/Os that approach the job as a professional. Some do , most don't. It would be interesting to watch an interview with a professional C/O. Not all C/Os are corrupt.
I'm a current C.O in Memphis, Tennessee and today October 16, 2024 is my 4 year anniversary working in the prison (and counting)...and I'm here to say...this shit is not for the weak.

I needed to here this Salute coming up on two years no liquor was a full blown alcoholic since 15 I do have a few beers but working my way off baby steps 🙏🏾
This is one of the funniest interviews 😂😂😂 the story about him freezing up had me dying . I wouldn’t wanna be a CO either . I’ve been to prison and I don’t envy their job
Isn't this the guy walking around asking people if they have a dollar? Then, when they say no, he hands them a dollar and says that he thought they were poor. Is this the same guy? He looks exactly like him.
Personally, i upgraded to YT premium and I've never looked back! You don't have to sit through ads anymore plus you get YT music which is waaaaay better than pandora! For 11.99 a month, worth every penny. I know people gripe about how the channel you're watching is losing out on ad revenue but look at how many "sponsors" these channels receive.
