Loved the video and the format! Great advice given while having a good time is the best! Great job!
I love your analog application! great video on ux design and what to expect, thank you so much!
This video was awesome, I’ve recently begun my UX journey so it was great to hear all this🙂
Thanks for the kind feedback Shennehs - That's great to hear too! What stage are you at in your journey?
@@careerfoundry Very early, I’ve been watching a lot of YT videos (CF’s especially), reading articles, interviewing current UX designers and will start a bootcamp soon😊
It was so much fun listening to your answers. All answers were so straight and to the point.
loved it
Thanks so much Adi! Was a really fun format for us to work on too!
Please I need more lectures to qualify me as a business analyst
Hy, I think that question "do UX designer need a degree" can be interpreted as in do they need high education like university degree of any kind. Would love to hear your comment on that.
What I've seen since I started working as a UX Designer is that most designers are people who either a degree in communication design / interaction design / graphic design or something like that OR they're careerswitchers who had different careers before becoming designers. Most of the designers I have do have some kind of higher education, though not always a university degree.
One thing I should mention here is that I'm based in Berlin, Germany - this might be different depending on the region you live in
can anybody tell me where is that video link where she talked about not having a degree in ux designing?? which she talked on here 12:41
If you UXD build a website, then it’s essential to code as well. The answer makes it conflicting with the previous answer that UXD doesn’t need to code
Hi Dylon - there are indeed designers that do code and companies that require coding skills. In general though, this is not an essential skill. In my experience, I never needed coding skills - though I did help to launch several big e-commerce platforms. Luckily, a lot of companies have dedicated developers to do the coding work.
No, youre absolutely wrong.
Hi. I've recently quit my job as a SDE to follow my obsession for Design Art and Tech. Is UX Design and having strength in Ui a way to go ?? I also have some experience as a UXD but I'm still in a dilemma. Cuz I do have some other options in mind, for e.g. Data Scientist. Anyways, I really enjoy your content.
Hey, it's great you're pursuing this career change! We can definitely recommend both UX and Data Science as a profession! We offer course options in both areas, covering free short courses, to full programs. What are you leaning towards generally? Let us know if we can offer any guidance in the mean time, and thanks for the kind feedback!
❤️❤️❤️
Does Career Foundry offer courses/mentorship for students who have been through certificate programs on Coursera? I have finished certifications from CalArts and U of M, but I’m still looking for support as I build a portfolio and begin job hunting!
Maybe you should find a mentor on ADPLIST who works in the field you’re interested in or at the company you really want to work at!
Mentorship at CareerFoundry is included in the main CareerFoundry program, though is not a separate track people can book.
What about me as a person who loves to design and code?
I am a first time viewer also
Thanks for tuning in Esther!
You're quite funny!
The bay can get you 200K, but it's also the Bay. Rent is astronomical.

Thanks!
Are UX designers mostly women?
