I've only been loosely aware of Poppy until recently (I think she runs heavier than Octane), but her collab with Bad Omens ("V.A.N.") got my attention. And now I'm seeing more of her - she's rad! So bring it on! Rock on, Omar! 🤘😎👍
So since your a Metal Journalist I can only assume you already know most of my favorites ( Tool, SOAD, Dream Theater etc) so I’m gonna go off the beaten path for a suggestion… I know you dig and play guitar …. Have your heard Marcin yet? Polish guitar prodigy that plays all parts of songs on one accoustic at once… including drums and vocals …he’s got versions of Cashmere, Master of puppets, Toxicity, still Dre… and many more… if you’ve not seen him you will love him ( and it won’t hurt that Poland will show up strong lol) ✌️ put, 🌀 out… and best of luck ( well deserved) also if you haven’t heard Tech9 straight out the gate featuring Serj Tankian it’s worth a listen
The system of a down is one of my all-time favorites, I haven't heard of Marcin yet, but the way you explained him he sounds like a beast of a guitar player.
