I recently bought this game on Steam, and here are a few things I noticed. 1. If you hit enter/x on the mirror a second time, Bo has another line recorded for it. She says "Mirror, mirror on the train, tell me I'm the most best princess in the....... What rhymes with train, Dad?" You can then either say "Let's go" as if you don't care, or "Stain". Then she says "Tell me I'm the most best princess with a stain!" On surface level it seems comedic but if we want to read deeply into it, knowing the nature of this game with all its little clues, I wonder if stain refers to something related to her death or whiskey stains even since her scarf smelled like whiskey. Since, in her first line, she says they look like ghosts, hinting that they're already dead. 2. Out of curiosity, I googled the verse on the back of the Bible. 2 Samuel 9:8 - Mephibosheth bowed down and said, "What is your servant, that you should notice a dead dog like me?" This is hinting that George (who is, in a way, Ted's "servant") is dead like the rest of them... Thomas Brush clearly thought that through. 3. After Daniel's creepy line about warm milk, you have the option to hit enter/x again and again. They actually went through the trouble to record several off-putting lines related to milk, until he visibly vomits a white liquid onto the floor... or on poor George if he's standing under Daniel. 4. I was able to buy the Tommy Gun, suit and dog sweater, but only on my second playthrough. The golden key given at the end of the first playthrough allowed me to open 3 secret doors (golden padlocks) that had lots of oil drops behind them. There are also a bunch of names behind these doors (i.e. gravestones, carvings on the golden thorn, etc.), to subtly give credit to those who contributed to the game. 5. I only recently discovered that you can unlock another rifle, the Infinite Songbird, if you listen to Ms. Birdy's 3 tracks on separate phonographs (the first discoverable one being in the Hangly House). If you fail to get the expensive gun, you can at least get this one for free, if you listen to all 3 songs in full, and jump after the red bird that appears afterward. Both this and the Tommy Gun are helpful in the final battle, more than the slingshot. 6. When I got my first secret film strip, I wanted to try and watch if there was a clue in it or something. Then I discovered 5 film strips (unwatchable) can unlock a Vintage mode in a future playthrough. If you play a second time, there's a P.A. thingy on the train with a voice that says "You're seriously playing this game again? This game sucks... Anyways, would you like to play in Super Vintage Mode for the price of 5 film strips?" 7. After getting the Nice Guy achievement, I wanted to try and see if I could get the Not So Nice Guy achievement. If you're mean to most characters, this is what happens-- You still end up in the same house in the end (after the boss battle), but it's night instead of morning. This is why mean choices have a moon, while nice choices have a sun. Bo is still there and they still have the cute butterfly scene, BUT George does not come back and Bo says she wishes he were still there, and the dog cage is empty. When they go find the mom, she is sleeping on the bench instead of reading the book. But at least the family still reunites. That ending feels a bit sadder just because George isn't back, even though the parents and daughter reunite. I wonder what night symbolizes? It's not like it's Hell, just a result of being mean rather than nice throughout the journey.
Mmmm the thing of the Princess with a stain Is a hell to unload. I didnt play the game so i can really say but between that líne and the protagonist Alter ego making creppy remarks in the daugther that could be that he molested her Will drunk Or didnt get to that point but have the though in some point so he see himself as a monster. Or go even futher and say that the car crash wasnt an accidente but the protagonist trying to stop himself of going that far... You could say i am reading to far into a single líne of text but un writing everyword we choose to use have a weight to it and in a game about hell and symbolism you need to do this type of question
I have an idea on what those other people are (in the portraits and side characters)! They always reference to Ted as "Father", and during the start of the game, there is a note to him on the back of his bible, referencing him as "Father" as well. What if all the people we see in the game are just the other people that go to the church that Ted leads, and this is just him saying goodbye to them before he heads off the the Afterlife? Just food for thought : )
@@perflextiondee1806 yes, but unless you go to that priest’s church, you don’t typically call someone Father who isn’t your dad So they’d have to be from his church
I would also like to point out; pinstripe says ‘too bad you can’t go back in time’. We turn the clock to a certain time and it makes it seem to be that time sure, but could we try to rewind the clock to see if it does something?
No kidding that's what I ask in the final video of this game! I mean can we really turn back in time after getting the 10 sacks oil thingies!? CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TRY IT OUT AND THEN PUT IT ON YT!?
@@nazogirl1127 It can't be done. I checked the clock after collecting the sacks and not only is it on fire, it's no longer an object Ted can interact with. No matter what, after setting the time to 2:30AM, the game is coded to be sure that we can't turn back time.
Can you do a video explaining fran bow? I think it's an amazing game with a good story and creepy and strange events. It would be so cool if you could do a video about it
I don’t know if you are kept up with his channel but he has started playing Fran Bow and may do an explaining video when he finishes it /edit; he has done his full play through and has done his explanation of the game.
I think the point is just supposed to be that he let alcoholism take his daughter's life I don't think it's meant to be that he Genuinely becomes pinstripe when he's drunk
I really like George, he’s always willing to help his master and even stays behind so ted can return. Although I am just a sucker for talking dog characters.
I suggest doing a theory on the story on the Rusty Lake games (all of them). It's really good point and click puzzle series and has pretty mysterious stories.
Pinstripe feels like a Jungian Shadow that became a force in Ted's realty, a metaphysical reality that became the alcohol in the physical reality. A Fate setter, if you will.
I haven't seen the gameplay of this, but don't worry because ill check it out after watching, and I literally *scream* at the top of my lungs with the simple word being "Jack!!!!" when I heard and realize that the character he voiced was also named Jack
I noticed that Miss Birdie and Dicky are puppets on Bo’s shelf once you beat pinstripe at the end, and at one point pinstripes says that dickies back is like a silly wooden puppet
Fun Fact: Gronkh, the angry looking man, is in fact a famous german Let's Player. He Let's played also this Game. The save points represent an Investor who invested a small amount in this game. Nice little easter eggs.
I have been waiting for this video , thank you SuperHorrorBro your amazing . When ever I have to watch a theory video I only watch your . Your work is amazing keep it up 👍🏻💞💓
According to your theory, I made my own. Each name of the location represents one of Teds stages of life. Edgewood is the edge of all Ted's problems. His wife died, and Ted began to feel winter and hopelessness in his soul. This is the edge from where he started falling down in addiction. Hangly pass is not about his wife, but also about him. He understands the consequences and his little daughter still needs him sober, but whiskey is stronger then him. Or he became a visitor of pub, started hanging out there more often then before. Maybe thats why Pinstribe used "Hanging out" in a conversation. He moked Ted obviously. Sack Chute. Darkness. Depression. Alcohol. Mysterious tunnels full of prison cages. Pissward. This is the last stage, when Ted got drunk to the point of incontinence. From here there is a funicular to Pissward. Down from a cliff. And only one way. Its even written on the ticket. And finally Red Wash. Yes, it could be probably translated as Wash-wash, but also, in my opinion, it also could mean Red Baptism. Baptism is usually about water, but this one is about fire, which took Ted and his daughter life. The final. Sorry for mistakes, English is not my native language, used translator.
Finally got around to watching the playthrough, this was such a nice story. Hope you look into another couple of games made Thomas Brush called "Coma" and "Neversong" (Which was originally called Once Upon A Coma".
Hey, love your videos. Me and my sister love your content. Did you know that there are other endings to this game depending on your actions during the game :3 I saw an ending where the dog and the mother are dead, and it's just Bow and Ted in the afterlife
I don’t know if superhorrorbro mike will see this comment, but nonetheless I have a game coverage suggestion about some game called, “Once upon a coma” before being renamed to “Neversong”. It follows a weird psychological horror story about a twisted monster, but it’s a platformer. Just a suggestion, but it’s incredibly similar to the game shown in this video.
Just another interesting easter egg; the piece of theology featured on the back of Ted's bible mentions Samuel 2 9:8 which is reference to the book of Samuel featured in the old testament. It is a clue in the earlier part of the game providing a hint to the meaning behind the game. Samuel 2 9:8 is apart of a story in the bible where King David shows kindness to a crippled orphan named Mephilbosheth whom suffered many hardships and was at his lowest. Despite his condition, David accepts and cares for him stating "you will always eat at my table". It symbolizes how despite the many things that can shake our faith or cripple us, God will always have room for us and welcome us back to the light. Relating to Ted struggling with his crippling addiction, like the many other characters in limbo, when in the end he finally finds peace.
So... I never heard of this game until now. It looks really interesting and has a deep Story. However I can not let the fact slide that one of the portraits is named "Gronkh" who is a well known UA-camr in Germany. The picture of this portraits also somewhat resembles how he looked for a certain amount of time. This is honestly kind of hilarious to me since I grew up with his videos :D
Just to point this out in case: The portraits are people who backed the game through its... I think Kickstarter campaign? Like "Gronkh" is a real, german UA-camr that supported the game (And had a big laugh seeing his portrait being that of a "Very aggressive man") So just in case... Doesn't really deny that they could be "alternative versions" of Ted, but also feels a bit weird to say that too...
Hey I just started this game now it's spoiled,eh That's okay. Anyway I wanted to tell you I shot the hanging lanterns and they drop stuff! More inportly I got a film strip thing of mr.Pinstripe. I don't know how to use it but maybe these could be more clues? The film reel maybe it's called I got from start above where her scarf was but it maybe random. The hanging light there and it's not with clues it's next to headlight option. Sorry if this is'nt new I didn't watch your lets play. Still I thought you should know just in case!
🐞This game looks adorable but eerie. I also didn't expect how this story would play out, and games like this normally don't have happy endings. Im glad this one did.🦋
A good number of your viewers would like to know if you'll tackle the story and/or universe of Killmondays' Fran Bow and its related spinoff Little Misfortune. Both games share the same universe though the bulk of the lore comes from Fran Bow. A sequel to Fran Bow is coming soon and it would be great to hear your take on Fran Bow's story and its strange world.
I actually think that the mother didn't hang herself, but she actually overdosed because there is a note that you get that says '10 tablets' which is used in a later puzzle but thats just speculation.
For some reason, Pinstripe reminds me of this webcomic by Kris Straub called: Broodhollow Edit: HOLY SHIT BOTH HAVE SIMPLE BUT AMAZING ARTSTYLES, BOTH PROTAGONISTS GO THOUGH A STRANGE TOWN THEY LIVED IN *AND* SET IN THE 1920'S? AYO WTF???
Have you thought about explaining or playing Neversong. It's made by the same people I think. I find the story pretty interesting but also kind of confusing. It'd be awesome to have it explained.
What’s weird is the Bible verse referenced on the condolence note to the Minister. The passage was 2 Samuel 9:8, and the verse is “Meohibosheth bowed down and said, "What is your servant, that you should notice a dead dog like me?"
On the condolence card from his church, the verse (2 Samuel 9:8) they put is kind of weird for a condolence card. It goes, "Mephibosheth bowed down and said, “What is your servant, that you should notice a dead dog like me?” Not sure what that means, but with a game like this I'm sure there's significance
Did you notice in the heaven version of Ted's house on the shelves there are dolls that look like Birdie and her husband? What if that could be a clue as to why they know so much about Bo and Ted? They sit on that shelf and can see what they do in that room alot?
the pill bottle says "stage 4 treatment" and we know the drug used to be used as a painkiller. could Ted's wife have passed away because of cancer, and she used the pills towards the end of her life in order to make the pain more bearable?
2:11 Awesome video game, nearly cried and the art style is SO cool like hello but can we do a double take where Jacksepticeye voices the character of "Jack"- (Obligatory disclaimer that I know he does voice acting, but i was very unaware of this role until i heard his voiclines and went "wAit a daMn miNUte-)
9:25 that's not quit right. Gronkh is a supporter of this game and a german youtuber. If you look at him in person, the photo in the game lokks like Gronkh. The other may be supporter or kickstarter, too.
My opinion: If we assumed Ted's age, let's say... he was around 30 or 40 he would probably be of fighting age during World War I, and his wife either did hang herself or perished to the Spanish flu at the time, making Ted an alcoholic and given the date of his death is 1922, I assume this would be a fitting timeframe Edit: Given his appearance in photographs with his family, he does look troubled as you stated so it can further prove his service in the Great War (Though take this with a grain of salt as I've never played Pinstripe)
Sorry for late answer. Ive checked Pinstripe Wikia, it says Ted wad died at the age of 33. I cant trust Wikia a lot but...JESUS AGE. LITERALLY JESUS AGE. So thats means he is a soldier and belongs to a Lost Generation. Poor Generation. But I do not agree that it was a Spanish flu. People died very quickly from the Spanish flu. It could be cancer, postpartum, as an option. His wife took pills that seemed to be prescribed for unbearable pain. And if she hanged herself...could she go to Heaven after that? Maybe she just died?
Very nice analysis. I believe that this is all in Bos head, trying to see if her father is good or bad. The evidence to prove this is Mr Dicky and Miss Birdy. At the end we see that they are puppets so that all the characters are in Bos imagination.

It goes, "Mephibosheth bowed down and said, “What is your servant, that you should notice a dead dog like me?”
Not sure what that means, but with a game like this I'm sure there's significance
Did you notice in the heaven version of Ted's house on the shelves there are dolls that look like Birdie and her husband? What if that could be a clue as to why they know so much about Bo and Ted? They sit on that shelf and can see what they do in that room alot?
There is a painting with the name Gronkh? Gronkh is a German Let's Player.
My theory is that Ted’s wife loves butterflies 🦋
Great video!
the pill bottle says "stage 4 treatment" and we know the drug used to be used as a painkiller. could Ted's wife have passed away because of cancer, and she used the pills towards the end of her life in order to make the pain more bearable?
It kinda feels like depression and alcoholosm, going through loss of someone and trying to numb the feelings
2:12 Wait...is that Jack?
Everyone loves Jack in Pinstripe
9:25 Gronkh :D Da muss ich gleich mal mehr über das Spiel lesen :D
8:52 that scripture, 2 Samuel 9:8 reads “And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?”
You were the one who chose his dialogue.
Awesome vid bendy fan
This stuff is amazing at night for some horror stories
So when the daughter said “do u smell smoke” in the beginning it was because they died in a burning car 😭
2:11
Awesome video game, nearly cried and the art style is SO cool like hello but can we do a double take where Jacksepticeye voices the character of "Jack"-
(Obligatory disclaimer that I know he does voice acting, but i was very unaware of this role until i heard his voiclines and went "wAit a daMn miNUte-)
Can you make a video about the new game struggling? And some theory I just saw the walkthrough and I was wondering what your thoughts were?
9:25 that's not quit right. Gronkh is a supporter of this game and a german youtuber. If you look at him in person, the photo in the game lokks like Gronkh. The other may be supporter or kickstarter, too.
I love you superhorrorbro you should do the witch’s house a rpg horror game.
I completely forgot about this game
So basically, it's the entire Dad's fault.
Whats the background music?
didn't expect to see jacksepteye voice a character
I'd love to see an explanation of Emily wants to play too
4:41 I knew what the twist was gonna be the nanosecond I heard the character was a priest. This has become such a spiteful cliche.
My opinion: If we assumed Ted's age, let's say... he was around 30 or 40 he would probably be of fighting age during World War I, and his wife either did hang herself or perished to the Spanish flu at the time, making Ted an alcoholic and given the date of his death is 1922, I assume this would be a fitting timeframe
Edit: Given his appearance in photographs with his family, he does look troubled as you stated so it can further prove his service in the Great War (Though take this with a grain of salt as I've never played Pinstripe)
You are amazing and wonderful, you deserve happiness and joy
Wooooo yea baby ive been waiting for this a long time
Very nice analysis.
I believe that this is all in Bos head, trying to see if her father is good or bad. The evidence to prove this is Mr Dicky and Miss Birdy. At the end we see that they are puppets so that all the characters are in Bos imagination.
Please play the creator’s latest game Neversong! It came out this year and no one is talking about it lol it’s so good!
Hello everyone who's here for a minute
I'm 6 hours late sorry
Boy I’m 8 hours late, what the hell
@@hongzingpoon7961 dude calm down
Lol I'm 2 months late
I love your explaining
You should do the story of the forest
There is a video game out now called 'Have a Nice Death' it is a bit of a horror game
this game reminds me of Neversong, its style and everything looks very similar.
At 2:12 I thought I heard Jacksepticeye, but then when I go back to it I noticed the character's name was Jack.
And also Pinstripe looks either like shadow (reealy tall) or like burned corpse (just look into his face deeply, see that?)
i'm sad you didn't noticed dicky and birdie are Boo's Dolls, you can see it at the ending after you go through the mirror on Boo's Bedroom
I like that shes the butterfly and that she lights up the torches
I never realized ted is a priest until I saw his clothes and read people call him "father"
i remember jack live steamed this i completely forgot about this game
Reminds me of Night in the Woods. U know the art and the graphics
But whatabout George? What ki d of happy ending does the dog get if he's stuck in Limbo forever waiting his master?
