Love how your implementing different series on your channel. I’ve been asking for a competitive Jinzo deck profile. This would be the series you make it in can’t wait to see it!
I would love to see a series where you build each structure deck starting at the first one, dragon’s roar, and seeing if you can win with each structure deck! You have to use the structure decks exactly as they are but of course swap forbidden cards for something as similar as possible
Like said many times, you should keep the cards that are known to be in the deck. In this example, you'd have to use the 18, then the remaining 22 are whatever you want. You should also keep to the card types available at the time, so for Grandpa it's no link, synchro, xyz, etc.
We know all the cards in the deck 18 played in Ep 1 and the other cards in Yugi's deck in the tournament Yugi uses his grandpa's deck minus exodia with very few changes. He gives Joey Time Wizard for example.
Maybe a rule you can put on these videos could be keep atleast 3 or 4 iconic cards from the original characters deck. For example if you did a Joey one you would keep flame swordsman, time warrior, and red eyes and try to build a deck around that. I feel like that could be more of a challenge and feel more like it’s still the character deck
I’d like to see all the forgotten Yugioh character’s deck. Season 1: Tristan, Season 2: Shadi (if he had a deck in the manga or tv show) or Mako, Season 3: Téa, Season 4: Dartz, Season 5: Great Shadow Magus, and then proceeded by the other series Forgotten or least played decks. I’d like to see all Antagonist’s decks built to current format in Master Duel, including series and movies. Peace Player!
Good built on Exodia. I played a deck that is a little similar to this one upon the Ranked Duel. It didn’t work out well as I don’t draw all five pieces. And I getting Ash Blossomed every time. Not to mention getting bad hands.
Yugi and Kaiba were playing with the Forbidden Memories rule set. Grandpa just didn't know he was supposed to fuse his cards to make higher ranked ones.
I love how u act about the characters in yugioh and I love how u put so much effort in ur videos so we can watch one of the best yugioh content, btw i want to see you trying yugi's deck but not the competitive one, but the original one pls 🤩
For anyone interested in cards you can use as throwaways, consider Rank Up Magic Zexal Force, if you remove it from the GY with a 2k LP difference you draw 1.
Create decks used in a duel and add cards to it to complete it. For example if Yugi used exodia , kuriboh and swords of light now you have 7 mandatory cards to use and can fill cards up to 60 with no limitations.
This deck looks like a lot of fun honestly and I have ran into a couple like it. Though I do agree that it would have been cool to see you update his actual deck and make it work. Kinda use to seeing library lead into exodia otk now. Would love to see you make a token trample deck or an anti extra deck style deck that is competitive. Something that punishes the opponent for having all those extra choices.
I kinda agree with comments that if it's a challenge, you should include the cards that were used in anime and not just win condition card (cause then it's basically same as what videos you already made, except how to finish them) BUT... There is no way you can win in ranked using majority of bad cards so maybe instead of adding all, just add win condition and 3 different cards that that character used. For example if you pick Yugi: Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, Kuriboh and Monster Reborn would be dope. There are many ways it can be improved, but the idea is nice.
About the end of duel 2: Yes, he literally had to pop chicken game, otherwise he couldn't deal battle damage to you. And that's how his accesscode was able to finish you off.
Love the idea of this series, but wish you went for some of the other exodia cards. Such as exodius the ultimate forbidden lord, obliterate, or exodia incarnate
I think you should use a strategy that could support the cards in the deck, so with grandpa's deck a Heart of the Underdog Exodia deck would make more sense with the amount of normal monsters he had.
Okay this deck is pretty impressive, you got around it being able to use the broken cards like pot of greed, and graceful charity, that first duel was insane, I’d have quit before you got to that point, you were clearly setting up a draw deck for something
Imagine Yugi playing solitaire for 30 minutes while sh*talking kaiba and equipping a Library with a Broken Bamboo Stick , yelling that his granpas deck has no pathetic cards lol, while Kaiba is watching and getting annoyed. that would be peak Storytelling
Magical stone excavation is a good card to burn 2 of any of your brick cards and return a golden bamboo sword from the grave to hand. Also double summon so you can get two libraries on the field.
Clearly there was ore than 18 cards considering this was the deck Yugi used in the Pegasus arc. Giant solider of stone, Giant rat, Horn of the unicorn etc etc

Bruh this was so entertaining on your end but like the opponent was probably taking a nap waiting for their turn 😂
Dude your videos are so entertaining! Quality content!
My grandpa's deck doesn't have any pathetic card
Teamsamurai : I think not
I love how u act about the characters in yugioh and I love how u put so much effort in ur videos so we can watch one of the best yugioh content, btw i want to see you trying yugi's deck but not the competitive one, but the original one pls 🤩
The one he is used against Pegasus in the finals
19:16 I swear you gonna say emotional damage hahagaha I never miss a video goodjob grandpaaaaa
Try the Odion deck of traps and lava golem
For anyone interested in cards you can use as throwaways, consider Rank Up Magic Zexal Force, if you remove it from the GY with a 2k LP difference you draw 1.
Ok I usually forget to like and subscribe but that last bit for the first win was what my soul needed this morning
If you look at the second duel this is why this man needs card trader in his deck
Ive never seen a better Man shaving comercial in my life hahaha
Exactly this
We need an event on MD when you can use only Legacy cards
About the end of duel 2:
Yes, he literally had to pop chicken game, otherwise he couldn't deal battle damage to you. And that's how his accesscode was able to finish you off.
He had to pop the chicken game because it prevents the player with the lower life points from taking any damage
The actual deck had cards that weren’t even shown in the anime, but in fact it was the standard 40-60 card deck
Love the idea of this series, but wish you went for some of the other exodia cards. Such as exodius the ultimate forbidden lord, obliterate, or exodia incarnate
This IS Grandpa's deck if he wanted it to survive today
"Can I win with grandpa's deck?"
Replaces most of the deck
I think you should use a strategy that could support the cards in the deck, so with grandpa's deck a Heart of the Underdog Exodia deck would make more sense with the amount of normal monsters he had.
Okay this deck is pretty impressive, you got around it being able to use the broken cards like pot of greed, and graceful charity, that first duel was insane, I’d have quit before you got to that point, you were clearly setting up a draw deck for something
i have a slightly more consistent way of running exodia. i started with this one but little by little started removing and exchanging cards
22:17 Sam: Put back the exodia we don't need that
22:20 Konami: Okay then we give you Exodia head. You will need them after all
🤣🤣🤣
Keep in mind that Yugi combined his Grandpa’s deck with his own. Heck, I think in the original, Summoned Skull was Yugi’s first ace monster.
Sam: you all know what Exodia is
Also Sam:*proceeds to tell us what exodia is.
Best commentary channel in youtube by far!!! A mile
1:26 "Step 1: head in the showers"
Yu-Gi-Oh players sweating knowing well that they don't shower
In the future would love to see Leo's Morphtronic deck from 5D's! I wanna see other ways the deck can pop off with modern cards!
Love the energy in every episode! 🔥🔥🔥
Pegasus’s toon deck and relinquish!!!!!!
Grandpa: I will draw
Ash Blossom: haha
I like that you dont add the 20 games it took before hand to start with royal library and not brick
Never knew I needed a Sam, manscaped commercial till today
I appreciate that you’re not afraid to show the losing duels if they’re entertaining. Show the newbies it’s fine to lose.
Magical stone excavation is a good card to burn 2 of any of your brick cards and return a golden bamboo sword from the grave to hand. Also double summon so you can get two libraries on the field.
So you’re not building grandpa’s deck, you’re building an exodia deck
Sam, please make galaxy eyes dragon deck, please!!!
Even though he changed most of the deck the spirit is still there. What a treat to watch thank you
Clearly there was ore than 18 cards considering this was the deck Yugi used in the Pegasus arc. Giant solider of stone, Giant rat, Horn of the unicorn etc etc
Ah yes, the OG exodia deck meta that has been around for over a decade. Grandpa would be proud.
I wanna see a wevil deck win
Likin' the content bro, Master Duel helped me find your stuff on UA-cam and I just wanted to say good job man! And do a TimeLord deck please Lol would love to see it !!
