I've tried many builds to beat him in NG+2 (not sure to call for my 3rd playthrough), many hours spent. you build is so meticulous in all gears/details and so funny to play with high defense and i-frames. Unbelievable, I took only 2 times to beat him with some bad dodges and unintentionally used the life saving revive at 1st phase (hahaha). Thanks a lot for cool tricky build. 😃👍👍👍

Your builds are ab-so-lutely incredible. Smashed erlang, now this pain in the butt. Don't feel bad at all. First 2 playthrus l thought you had to bear broken shell, erlang, then broken shell again. Basically STRUGGLED through that boss 4 times already 😂😂!!
You could use the arms and legs from Yaksha armor. You will generate less focus on taking damage but your pillar gale attacks would deal additional damage
I like using tri-point staff for sages broken shell. You can completely trivialize the first phase using the light attack to heavy attack combo repeatedly. Doesn’t work in second phase but at least I can’t get to second phase without being touched.
this is actually awesome and fun. i'm too scared to try it on the great safe mode though. Boss hits wayyyy to hard. please do a video of this build in that level. it would be so cool to see.

What’s interesting to me is that I missed Erlang in my first playthrough so I had to play though the game up until Erlang on my 4th play though to get the 3 perk for the 6th relic to unlock the Wukong stance. But I was able to claim the third perk after beating Erlang but before sages broken shell. I know others had to have made the same mistake I did and enter NG+ without defeating Erlang. I didn’t have to beat sages broken shell to unlock the Wukong stance but I wanted to defeat him anyways haha. Man that was tough. Here we come NG+4.

Hollup. You get an entire new try with a full gourd and everything with life saving strand? Welp I’ll beat him now! I get the second phase down to 1/4th health and I die.
You still haven't made the most out of this build - Equip every item that increase your Mana before using the spellbinder. (Bonus: you can try the pill +60 Mana, I don't remember if it counts for spellbinder) - Including that item increase many of your stats after "respawn" - but actually, you'll get the buff just by use the teleport item to get back to shrine - then you can swap it out, the effect last 180s iirc. - Swap back your curios and dark iron staff etc...
It's sweeping gale under Pillar stance. You have to unlock it first. To perform it, you just need to press light attack, then hold heavy attack button.
Bull King. Set bonus makes you have have tenacity above 50% health so you can’t get knocked out of attacks. Common set you’d be flinched out of the attack as soon as he hit you
Yup. 1) Go to steam saveGames folder. (by default on windows, it's "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BlackMythWukong\b1\Saved\SaveGames\") 2) you shall see a file named with "ArchiveSaveFile.1.sav". 3)With savedata file you downloaded or from your friends, rename it to ArchiveSaveFile..sav (for an instance, ArchiveSaveFile.9.sav), then add it into your folder. 4) restart the game, you should be able to use it.
How do you do sweeping gale for that long? For me it's only 2s at best and then wukong comes out of it. I also have every skill maxed and got every single thing in the game.
After press light attack, immediately follow by heavy attack and "HOLD" to swing the damage until the 3 or 4 focus gauges filled then you change to smash stance and hit him with 3/4-focus smash. Beware of the heath bar not too below range of possible hits during run away to charge gourd and take medicines. Wait for gourd to refill and repeat the steps. Empty gourd is very important during head forward for CQB, since it provide significant damage reduction buff.
I don't understand. I see all these comments from people using this method and having success and it's failing with me every single attempt. In the video you use the pillar stance then go into sweeping gale and while spinning around, none of the bosses attacks hits you. I have the exact same build and followed every instruction perfectly but while I'm spinning, all of the bosses basic attacks hit me. I do light attack then immediately heavy attack to start the spin and I watch my health deplete rapidly while he's simultaneously hitting me and I don't even mean his red glowing attacks. I mean all of his attacks, but in your video none of them cause any damage. What am I missing or doing wrong? I'm in ng+3 and have maxed out everything at level 342. I just don't understand what everyone else is doing to not lose health while I constantly lose health. Please help.
1) This build relays on drink to get damage reduction: After drink, u have 35% damage reduction in 15s. So make sure you have a drink once gourd gets refilled. 2) "Ring of fire" provide 20% damage reduction. 3) The reason I used Sweeping Gale to make this video is because it also provides 20% damage reduction. But there always have some moments without reduction buff, so that you have to manage to survive.
FINALLY!! I beat him using your method. It took a few tries but it feels good to move past him. I started trophy hunting and I'm 1 trophy away from platinum. Unfortunately, I have to trek all the way to chapter 4 to get it. I have to knock off all the arms of the venom daiost in the first meeting to get the piece of armor you gain from doing it and then I'll get a platinum and go back to Mortal Kombat 1 until the dlc arrives. Thank you again so much for helping me and so many others get past this insanity hard monkey.

Idk what it is but im on NG+3 And I can't beat this dude anymore. It was easy the last two times now I caught myself looking for videos on how to beat him. I'm going to use this build I almost had him but all a sudden I couldn't move or anything and it cheated and he killed me 🤬
Maybe you can try to do the normal fight with this build instead of doing Sweeping. I just did this boss fight with this build in NG+6. Got lots of hits, but still was able to beat him.

You can ignore the gourd. Just pole dancing on him cheesed him. If you can get the gourd that gives you all gourd uses for added Insurance.

Qing-Tian Gourd only has one sip, but it can slowly recovers gourd uses. Refill occurs after 23 seconds on average.

I tried this for my 3rd cycle but it doesn’t work he hits me while doing gale and i die. You do it and he doesn’t hit you id don’t get it.

With Wukong stance, the 1st phase is super easy. Otherwise, you can only have 3 focus points charge attack.
