I just happen to click on this feed. This is my kind of music.....gospel (contemporary, traditional), techno/electronic, r&b, jazz the whole 9 yards. Hey, I love music!!!! Especially THE 80's!!!!!! And the 90's and 2000's. LOL
I’m sad I didn’t know this music at the time it came out, but on the other hand, I feel like the universe smiled at me when I discovered Japanese fusion
"Danse des bulles" (bubble dance) (14'51") is actually a free adaptation of Ravel's Prelude from "Tombeau de Couperin" (check out the piano original, and Ravel's own orchestral version).
The song "Danse Des Bulles (気泡の踊り)" is actually a remix / reimagining of Maurice Ravels composition "Le Tombeau de Couperin", composed between 1914 - 1917. It's such a beautiful original song and it's also really cool how Fukamachi added his own touch into it. I'm in love with this album!
Wow, I agree, PS1 had such an amazing visual and audio aesthetic. Maybe it's my nostalgia talking but I just don't get the same feeling from games today (with some exceptions of course).
@@munro2k658 No, it's not nostalgia. I think the limited synth sounds/cd player audio and the not entirely horrible-not entirely good blocky 3d/generally good-ish 2d visuals that a lot of PS1 games had made for a striking experience on an aesthetic level. Like a weird uncanny valley of what a video game should be. Definitely a memorable feeling, especially when the sound track was good. Games are definitely better nowadays overall, but they usually don't feel like an EXPERIENCE in my opinion.
@@munro2k658 You grew up meanwhile. That's the explanation. Our eyes change, same for our expectations. The mindblowing at the time might simple extremely simplistic & childish now.
new games dont have to work around harsh hardware limitations so they dont develop a system wide style. Also its big business now so style considerations are all very "safe"
Just barely a minute in it and it gives me the urge to dive into the sea, sink deep to the ground and just chill down there. Might die, but I'm too busy being chill at the bottom of the sea.
It's a pan Flute from a vintage digital synthesizer. Because this came out in 1988, there can only be two options - The Roland D-50 or The Korg M1 Both make very similar types of sounds and both of them definitely have presets on them for flutes and pan flutes like the one heard in this song. Korg and Roland both make vst versions (computer software) of these synthesizers now, if you were interested.
L'ombre de neptune sounds so familiar to me but I just can't figure out where from...... i've been listening over and over for months..... anyone, any ideas?
An Album that right from the start demands a big high quality stereo or similar headphone, driven by nothing other than quality (japanese?) components...
Any thoughts on how to get the eye in the sky to be unable to cheat you and me blind? Isn't that what the teckies promise, a teckie solution to the great teck rip-off of all your possibilities.
same! Im looking for this one in particular and could find anything - not even on discogs 🙄 Looking for vinyl - if anyone else has any suggestions - holla at me!
RIP Jun Fukamachi (1946 - 2010)

Chicago, the old Mac system font that was later used in iPods.
Oh! I never knew the name of that font, it never occurred to me that it was a thing.
Lian R Truly A font too good for this world. It was replaced because we did not deserve it as humans
@Dave Hanson Nothing we think or say is original, even this sentence, lol

Facundo Rifé yes !
Stuff like this makes me wish they kept making games for the PS1.
