The Jets looked good on Sunday Night football but (with the help of the refs) sadly couldn't pull off the upset.. but is Zach Wilson starting to figure things out?
Also, CJ Stroud and Anthony Richardson are GOOD... and Panini won the first of what will likely be many legal battles against the NFLPA, maintaining the rights (for now) to produce NFL licensed cards for the 2023 season. Lou thinks Caleb Williams is BY FAR the best quarterback in this years college class, Pokemon released a collab with the Van Gogh Museum and things got NUTTY, Topps announced a duplicate Superfractor bounty... but is it all a marketing ploy? Speaking of marketing ploy bounties, the Babe Ruth retrofractor was pulled this week - as was a Mark Twain cut auto out of Allen & Ginter.

My guess is Connor Bedard, and I have a few reasons why.
This type of question when it can be any sport requires numerous avenues of analysis. So my reasoning for Bedard is as follows
1. Hype - We all know the Bedard hype. So his prices will be high but I think that allows his market to go astronomically high if he delivers on expectations
2. Market - Chicago is a big market, and a big hockey market. Him bringing the Blackhawks back to relevancy especially with a cup run in the future gives him a massive leg up on guys in smaller markets
3. International appeal - He’s Canadian, Canadians love their hockey. He can be a big time appeal to a lot of Canadian collectors
4. Stats - He will put up high goal numbers which is crucial for really any long term hobby respect. At the end of the day people love stats, and he can produce them in spades
I'm going with Coco Gauff. She's 19, just won her first Grand Slam title at the U.S. Open, and is hungry. Right now shes grinding in a tournament in China. Listen to her approach:

The player I would be investing in is Carlos Alcaraz. The sport is still growing and the scene is currently competitive. Carlos is only 20 and ranked #1 so his room for growth is immense. His cards are on the high end but thats only cause I'm trying to go for his autos or rpa. I currently have 3 of his cards and looking to grow the collection with time
Nic Claxton! Young promising dude, improving every season. Wouldnt be surprised if he is on the short list for DPOY this season and once he develops his offensive game/shooting he is going to be lethal!
Very interesting a name I would have never expected
Jude Bellingham can be a sneaky play. Considering how well he's been playing with Madrid. He is still fairly affordable, super young and can be the big player for Madrid for the next 10 years. Plus the English squad is young and talented, so they could do something at the 2026 WC. Soccer is the sport with the biggest upside in the next 5 years considering the reach of the sport worldwide and the WC coming to the US.
Jude Bellingham, 20 years old, every step up he takes, he immediately becomes an impact. The man is a physical specimen. He's humble, he's good looking, and he speaks English. He'll become a household name during the 2026 World Cup, with 2 more World Cups for him to be in his prime. He's already had 5 figure sales, but comes from a year with a ton of rookie sets, parallels, variations, and autos, so every level of collector can get in on the fun.

@closetofcardboard6032 he looks great! When a guy is putting the ball in the net at that rate, it's no fluke. I'm a novice though, I only got into Proper Footy after listening to CardTalk. At the time, 2020-21 Chrome and Merlin Chrome were the only affordable wax at my LCS. Started collecting Pedri, pulled a Messi Auto out of a blaster, and away I went. So my focus has been on that 2020 class and Barcelona. I think that 2020 class will go down as the greatest "RC" class ever. It was a perfect storm. Thanks for introducing me to a new talent!
@@rubenintheshop1273 2020 was so stacked of a class its insane!! Wish I would have stocked up more on Bellingham I was buying up Camavinga back then. Still a crazy talent but Bellingham finds the net where Camavinga shuts players down. Congrats on the Messi Auto man thats a monster and out of a blaster is unheard of haha! Messi auto is on my card bucket list. Actuslly had my LCS order me a box of Merlin last year. Then my buddy went in and bought it not knowing they ordered for it for me and the employee didnt know either. Hits a Messi Auto /25.... I was so mad but had to try be pumped for him at the same time haha!
I hate to say it, but Mbappe. Assuming that he goes to Real Madrid next year, that whole team is getting hype with Bellingham currently. Now with how Real Madrid builds their youth and legends like Modric and Kross, they have a well-oiled machine system that helps players transition. Real Madrid is one of the biggest clubs/ sports teams in the world and Mbappe slots perfectly in the missing striker spot (unless they get Osimhen). Btw this is not biased, since I am a Man United fan
Bought my Van Gogh promos through Pokemon Center online, was available USA/CAN. Could purchase any Van Gogh pokemerch and get a single promo with each item, cheapest item were $7 card sleeves. Yes they printed a bunch but also the supply was instantly swallowed up, great fundamentals for long term. Love the card.
OOh I like Lou's pick in Max... Hmm. 5 Year? I'm investing in Tiger Woods. Autos and/or short prints/promos. All time world athlete. Might get sneaky and pull off one last win. Might get really weird if Charlie is this good and they tee off Augusta in a couple years together for his last time. Also Tiger and Rory's new Golf League was just picked up by ESPN & starts in January. All time guy.
Easy choice for my investment player, Dominik Szoboszlai, midfielder for Liverpool.
Only 22 years old. He’s been a presence on the pitch and is being compared to Steven Gerrard with his ability to control a game and being an attacking threat.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he helped Liverpool put some more silverware in their case over the length of his contract.

Micah Parsons fersure. I think that in 5 years he wins an mvp, making him the first Defensive player to win MVP since LT in 84. His prices aren’t crazy since the hobby doesn’t show much love to defensive players so I’m buying BIG on him.
Player I am buying and holding for 5 years is Kylian Mbappe, He is 25 and once he leaves PSG and goes to La Liga or the Premier League, his stock will just rise and rise! Unlike Bellingham and Haaland, he has a realistic chance of adding to his World Cups. Also Soccer is the biggest and most watched sport in the world and has unbelievable growth potential and with the next World Cup in the USA, it will only accelerate that growth.
Also don't sleep on cricket players, the next world cup for T20 is in the USA... its also the 2nd most watched sport in the world
JOAO FELIX - His stock was arguably the lowest after a quiet World Cup and departure of Atletico Madrid, but you can make the case that right now is the perfect time to start building/investing into JOAO FELIX. Since joining a legendary club like Barcelona, FELIX is getting consistent minutes and seems to be more "free" in Barcelona's system. The next world cup is three years away, and the shadow of Rolando will no longer be there for Portugal's National Team. JOAO FELIX's timeline is lining up for glory in club and national team play.
Low Risk, High Reward
The player I would invest in is Endrick. He is joining Real Madrid next year and will only be 18. For the first since the original Ronaldo, an extremely hyped Brazilian is not a winger, but a true striker. Real Madrid is literally just missing a striker in order to be over the top. With the young talents of Vini and Jude feeding him all the time, he is bound to score and score a LOT. Soccer is only growing and the World Cup comes to the US for the first time. In 5 years Endrick will be 23 which is prime time for players to be at their most popular in both excitement and performance.
For chiefs and jets to even compete with those other games shows Taylor Swift has influence on the games. Cowboys are always the most watched. Big games like the Packers vs Cowboys will draw big numbers. But how the Jets started nobody expected the game to be close. Nobody watches beatdown games unless its there team. Without swift the game would not have came close on numbers IMO

Luka Doncic. Given the decline in his cards and the timeframe, it’s very like he continues to be a top 5-10 talent, could win mvp, and may force his way to a contender. He’ll also get Olympic buzz within the timeframe too. Added bonus, his cards have dipped.

Giannis Antetokounmpo - even if he does nothing else he will be in the HOF. Gets limited hobby love so the current prices are not stupid. Obviously there is a good chance for big upside with his new teammate. 5 years from now retirement will be approaching and his career stats should be massive. Best risk / reward play out there. (lower production runs for his rookie year, low entry point, low risk, big upside)

Kylian Mbappe - he will move in the next years to Real Madrid. His personal brand will get the development like Beckham and CR7 after their move to Real. That’s all what he needs to do to be THE star of soccer on the global base, because on the sport side he will achieve for sure more with his talent.

For the next 5 years, give me Giannis. Will most likely get another ring within that period and in my opinion will be the face of the NBA with Lebron, Curry, KD leaving the league relatively soon. Giannis is so dominant physically, unlike any other NBA player. In addition, Giannis being from Greece adds an extra layer of value because some international buyers pay premiums

It has to be Mbappe strictly because the GOATS are at the end of their careers and hes next in line to sit upon the throne of the biggest sport on the planet. BUT... someone beat me to it. So I will try win you over with a sneaky investment. VICTOR BONIFACE... if you look at stats Haaland didnt explode until he joined Dortmund. Boniface is heating up for Leverkusen and if he continues at this pace will be the next £100 Million striker. If he joins a team that he meshes with kinda how Haaland did for Man City we could see Boniface as one of the top strikers on the planet and as of now hes relatively unknown. Dont forget the swag he carries. As we have seen with Joe Brrr and Justin Jefferson that swag sells. If your going potential on return im gambling on Boniface.
I feel most comfortable saying that I would invest in Patrick Mahomes right now. But because his prices are so high right now. I will not go there. But I am going to say Justin Jefferson and I know WR aren’t super Collectable like QB’s but here is why I am going with JJetta. As a diehard Minnesota Vikings fan since the day I was born. I can honestly say that They are truly a dumpster fire this year and will probably be bad for the next couple years since this will be Kirk Cousins last season with Vikings If he doesn’t get traded before then. And then they are going to have to start a Rookie/Young QB next year and they will probably be Mediocre at best for next 5 years but JJetta is still going to be putting up monster numbers regardless cause he is him. But because Vikings will be so bad, I think they will have to trade him eventually cause his value is going to be so high and they will do like the did Randy moss where they are so bad so why not get value for him within the next 5 years and I could see him going to a Super Bowl Contending team and boom his value will spike. And then if he wins Super Bowl and possible MVP this year (on pace for 2,300 yards and 13 TD and if Vikings somehow squeak into playoffs) or any of the 5 years. It will go up even more. And since Last Non QB to win MVP was my man AP “All DAY” Peterson when he finished 2,097 yards rushing and only 9 yards away from breaking the rushing record. I think Jefferson would have great chance at MVP if he shatters Calvin Johnson reviving record by 350 yards. But also reason I am collecting JJ is he is hands down other than QB’s, Justin Jefferson is probably the most Collectable player in any sports. Kids love him because he is so down to earth and the Griddy and fortnite. He is truly a class act, He didn’t miss one day of training this year and I think he could have easily had a reason to hold out but he said I am still under contract and it is my responsibility to show up and my parents raised me to show up to work if you are getting paid even if it isn’t what you think you are worth. So even though he is only making $2.2 million this season and CALEB WILLIAMS IS MAKING MORE THAN HIM IN COLLEGE and JJ deserves to be making $30 million a year. He cares so much about the city of Minnesota and the fans and the Vikings and wants to win football games so badly and will do whatever it takes to win. And as a fan who literally can’t talk after the Vikings games from screaming and investing my heart to that team, I want a guy on my favorite team who wants to win as much as I want the team to win. He is going to go down as best WR ever as long as he stays healthy but even after saying all that, he is even a better person off the field as he is on the field and that is my reason for collecting Justin Jefferson cards. SKOL VIKINGS
I just read this. I wasn’t saying he is going with win Super Bowl this season. They probably don’t even make playoffs this year. But I was saying if he goes to team that could possibly win a Super Bowl. Or if somehow Vikings can get first overall pick and draft Caleb Williams this coming season. Would be only way Vikings would even sniff making playoffs and possibly winning a Super Bowl in the next five years.
