Not exactly replaced it but he did mention he planned on taking a break from canyon rally to focus on this, and he may or may not get back to canyon rally eventually ( possibly with in a new map if he does )
Love how the Moonhawk is just going around the course, completely engulfed in flames. I'm sure the driver's like; naw, we're good. We're good. We've still got steering. Haha.
What's funny is, I took the Bolide around the track myself, just to see what would happen. In my run, it outlasted the mighty Burnside before the engine ceased to exist.
I recommend going into the settings and turning off clutch and throttle assistant, this allows the car to stall and you can break gears thus limiting you to have to use others. This will make it a bit more realistic, and make there more to break.
You can actually extinguish the fire for vision's sake by pressing esc and pressing fun stuff and extinguish, and also, talking about naming cars fireball, bolide is Italian for fireball
Spectrum yeah I didn't know that happened when I wrote that, I've always thought fire was useless, I still don't like it, it's ugly, gets in the way and doesn't do much
Idk about your computer specs, but what if, as you break cars, you leave the car there and just pull it off to the side? Then you'll be able to see where other cars have been.
Caden Chittick thats a good idea but the problem is that the game's frame rate will start to drop to the point that it can't handle the amount of cars anymore and just crash. Another problem is if Alex runs wide or cuts a corner there is a possibility of the car he is driving will be damaged by or welded to the car he crashes into. The final problem is it would take too long to setup for each video as I do not think when leaving a map the cars will be saved, as the map would reset everything on the map
The blue Covet of the first episode and the red Bolide of this episode give me a nice shot of nostalgia of the early days of BeamNG.Drive, when the main vehicles were the D-series, the Covet, the H-series and the bolide; because most of the cars were coloured the Covet's blue or the Bolide's red.
If you make another of these videos again in the future, you should try and consider of going on the outside of the turns. That way you could have a faster entry into the jump sections of the track and possibly make smoother. Or rougher. Depending on how fast you really go.
I still think they need to restyle the back of the bolide. It's way to wide and the lights don't really look nice, but the front is beautiful. I love the wheels too.
I did this run with the D15 AWD V8 sport model pick up. I got it to do 5 laps before radiator damage blew up the engine. A tip I figured out. Shut off the engine when it flips, and start it back up once it's back on the wheels. The truck lost a back wheel and got a front tire flat but still managed to complete its last lap in that condition. Thing was totally flat too.
I’m pretty sure you had bouncy suspension on the van because you had a medium duty setup, for more weight, thus causing it to have a stronger rebound because there was no added weight.
It wasn't getting enough views and Alex decided to end it. I advise you watch his Survive the Hunt and Downhill Choas videos, those were some of his best!
If a van is rear wheel driven, and the boot is empty you will experience massive over steer When driven on loose surface. Mid engine Nissan Vanette cargo is a drifting machine on snow.
The Bolide was "knocked out of contention" due to a mistake leaving the jump that saw it lose a wheel. That didn't seem to be the fault of the car, in particular; the suspension performing about as well that lap as it had previously. So, I think a mulligan should be issued for this one. Also, leaving in the "stumbles" when commentating is funny. A video with failed voice recordings would be gold.
Nice editing mistake when starting the moonhawk and it seemed like the game audio was turned down for the second take. Also can we add 'Wobblemobile' to the FailRace Dictionary?
Entire car is engulfed in a raging inferno. Temperature gauge never moves. The reason you didn't break the radiator is probably because it is indestructible.
1:50 Heating up the engine in the air is pretty much the opposite of driving as fast as he can :D Though... using the throttle does move the front up just a tiny bit, so that can be useful at times, but there still was a lot of waste with the van... I reckon that he could probably have made it to the end of the lap without the crazy revving.
True... But death by overheating is probably the least interesting way for a car to go out here and testing the structual aspect is far more interesting than seeing how radiator damage affects the engine. I'd rather have the cars NOT take undeserved heat and last a few more jumps!
When the engine hits the redline it doesn't produce more power, and in my testings I've noticed that I can keep a car at the redline pretty safely, even with a damaged radiator. Air flowing around and into the car is a means of cooling and the only one that effectively prevents overheating damage from a destroyed radiator, the other being dipping into a body of water (which is unsafe as you might imagine), but it's most effective when the engine isn't still accelerating the car. To sort of put into perspective: doing donuts in most any car will overheat it eventually with no prior damage, while accelerating to top speed will keep temps stable and not go beyond 110 C on the coolant, as long as the radiator itself is up to snuff anyway.
Alex, I recreated your video (LeTurd, Covet, Burnside and Sunburst - though I used an FWD version), and I got massively different results. The LeTurd lasted about the same, whereas the Covet kept chugging along onto a second lap before dying. The Burnside lasted two and a half laps before it died, and the Sunburst lasted a little over two laps. What does this mean? We have different driving styles, and I am more careful with these cars.
The thing is, though, while Alex is just going balls to the wall all over the place, I'm more careful, while still driving aggressively. If I know my car can't make it over a jump, I don't force it to go over the jump.
GoredonTheDestroyer you should've added that when a car dies, you don't reset it and instead leave it where it died just to get the best results instead of just guessing exactly where the cars died. But if the car dies on the road failrace can just pull the vehicle off to the side and out of the way.
The Heron, unfortunately, is broken as of the Driveline update (0.8.x). On top of that, it wouldn't fit with the challenge, as vanilla vehicles, and mods associated with them, are the only vehicles allowed on this course.
Hahahaha editting mistake at 13:20 I think :D
cat intensifies He keeps some of them in the video
cat intensifies congrats on winning the car throttle giveaway
Laura anderson-lombardi what did that guy win? the hat?
Yeay a blooper :D
Thanks, that was a few years ago though xD
this needs to be a series alongside canyon rally
I think he said somewhere that this sort of replaced it...
Not exactly replaced it but he did mention he planned on taking a break from canyon rally to focus on this, and he may or may not get back to canyon rally eventually ( possibly with in a new map if he does )
yes
Alex: The Moonhawk has proven to be incredibly durable.
Moonhawk's Fuel Tank: Yeah, about that...
AtomicG oppopppppppp
It's the Pinto's younger brother
Love the little fail when you chose the Moonhawk xD
This comment deserves more likes, especially after being up for four years and for the fact that literally no one else mentioned it.
@@WaterVolt1917 agreed, damn. underrated
I find it funny that the entire car was on fire and yet the engine temp is still normal. XD
Wiseguy7 Yeah, at the very least the thermometer should have snuffed it. :D
and the fuel gauge was fine with punctured tank and on fire
Fire is just a texture in beamng
World's greatest radiator.
new favourite beam ng series
Love how the Moonhawk is just going around the course, completely engulfed in flames. I'm sure the driver's like; naw, we're good. We're good. We've still got steering. Haha.
17:00
A very Clarkson-y yes right there
*BURN*side, *SUN*burst, and now the moonhawk becoming, well, a fireball pretty much are all on the podium. Im starting to sense a theme here
He's got the perfect voice for commentating these videos. Love the series!
So unlucky with the Bolide =/ but love the series.
What's funny is, I took the Bolide around the track myself, just to see what would happen. In my run, it outlasted the mighty Burnside before the engine ceased to exist.
Darthadios I think the bolide needs a second chance because that was more of a drivers mistake than a car technical fault.
Use the Scarab!!! Long time fans will remember this from the original beamng downhill chaos!
I think the pigeon would actually be quite good around this course.
Still like the old thumbnails better ...... ;)
sameer mohideen indeed
yay i love these thanks for making more :)
ohh my god this is the craziest failrace video yet
0:45 that was a nice slide
I recommend going into the settings and turning off clutch and throttle assistant, this allows the car to stall and you can break gears thus limiting you to have to use others. This will make it a bit more realistic, and make there more to break.
You can actually extinguish the fire for vision's sake by pressing esc and pressing fun stuff and extinguish, and also, talking about naming cars fireball, bolide is Italian for fireball
That is really interesting, I didn´t know that, due I do not parlo Italiano.
Darthadios neither do I, I just googled it once because it is clearly an Italian car :P
Darthadios in fact in full it is an owl fireball
Extinguishing the fire would also prevent it from puncturing the tyres though.
Spectrum yeah I didn't know that happened when I wrote that, I've always thought fire was useless, I still don't like it, it's ugly, gets in the way and doesn't do much
The moonhawk shall now be known as the Pinto.
Thank you for making another of these. Hope to see a full series.
Idk about your computer specs, but what if, as you break cars, you leave the car there and just pull it off to the side? Then you'll be able to see where other cars have been.

"We're going to do some drifting _while on fire._ *It is **_all_** of the clickbait possible!*"
*Yes.*
I'm pretty sure that it is my favorite series!
That moonhawk sure looked like a firehawk. Great video series and fun!
I think you should redo the bolides run.
I'm really enjoying this new series!
love this series
im loving this series
I love your editing around 13:20 it made me laugh. Lol nice vid none the less
He really needs to proof-watch at least once :P
Beam NG for console? I think that would be awesome.
Today, on FailRace:
A van proves to be quite slippery, a supercar somehow loses all of it's drive, and presenting: BURNING CAR!
Keep doing this series!!
Loved the Moonhawk laps. :)
The Civetta Bolide has a surprising amount of suspension travel for what it is, which makes it a surprisingly good rally car.
> Car entirely consumed by flames
> Engine temps fine
The Supercar looks like a cross between a DeLorean and a Ferrari F355
These videos, this series are a lot better for Alex, he doesn't need to spend so much time on video and editing it then canyon rally
If you make another of these videos again in the future, you should try and consider of going on the outside of the turns. That way you could have a faster entry into the jump sections of the track and possibly make smoother. Or rougher. Depending on how fast you really go.
hahaha the editing mistake was funny, and i love this series please keep doing it
I love how you accidentally left in a bad cut while introducing one of the cars.
Yes more DTD! I love this
Moonhawk cooling is incredible, perfectly cool whilst on fire. Amazing.
Today on FailRace, Alex becomes Ghost Rider.
...Driver.
Whatever.
The Moonhawk was going so fast that the game thought that it was re-entering the atmosphere.
20:02 now that's a death riders car
Please continue this series! (:
I still think they need to restyle the back of the bolide. It's way to wide and the lights don't really look nice, but the front is beautiful. I love the wheels too.
16:56 They see me flaming... And driftin'... And they tryin' to catch me drivin' dirty...
The Baja circuit is the one track that will test the limits of every vehicle and most vehicles don't survive a full lap.
I love this series!
7:15 While driving up the hill the conrod bearings went - and just 5 seconds later the whole engine gave up.
I just want to see a dragster, the one from cannyon rally.
I’m pretty sure you had bouncy suspension on the van because you had a medium duty setup, for more weight, thus causing it to have a stronger rebound because there was no added weight.
Just found your channel and it's great. Are you planning on playing more motorsport manager or did just end abruptly?
It wasn't getting enough views and Alex decided to end it. I advise you watch his Survive the Hunt and Downhill
Choas videos, those were some of his best!
Can you do the Barstow next?
YESSS MORE OF THIS 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👌🏽🙃
I love this series haha
If a van is rear wheel driven, and the boot is empty you will experience massive over steer When driven on loose surface. Mid engine Nissan Vanette cargo is a drifting machine on snow.
This video is lit, its fire 💭💭💭💭💭💭

I quickly read the title and got happy because I thought he was making another video on the ps2 game driven to destruction. Still not disappointed tho
I would call that a huge win for the moonbeam
13:20 You see? There was an edit there!
That editing mistake at 13:18 was funny, at least I think it was a mistake
more please! very enjoyable! :p
I LOVE THESE VIDEOS
Nice editing mistake when starting the moonhawk and it seemed like the game audio was turned down for the second take.
Also can we add 'Wobblemobile' to the FailRace Dictionary?
Wasn't this map in Rigs of Rods before? I swear, it seems so familiar.
WilfordBrimley yes it was
It was imported from RoR.
Ah, okay. That makes sense.
Eddy BT any idea where i can find the link to download it?
Here: www.beamng.com/threads/bajarama-the-rigs-of-rods-classic.8754/
When the car fails, just leave it there. That should represent the place where it failed better.
FailRace are you okay? You seem to have had a stroke at 13:27 😂
if you brake a bit and accelerate at the same time, you can effectively tighten the diff up and drive the car with the missing drive wheel
May or may not work on Beam
18:00 Marvel have been getting new Ghost Rider designs down on the board...
can you play some more burnout paradise? i really like that game
YES! thats such an amazing game!
boer harms I wish burnout paradise could get a movie
A second one would be nice but Criterion got bought out
15:10 the mighty leyland p76 has arrived
SERIES! SERIES!
It is. Watch the end of his last Canyon Rally video.
Awww seems a bit unfair for the bolide, also a bit of an editing fail at the start of the moonhawk?
the moonhawk turned into a firebird. *Budum tish*
in one episode you need to do first person and you can use the flip method to make sure that you can see a bit
Entire car is engulfed in a raging inferno. Temperature gauge never moves.
The reason you didn't break the radiator is probably because it is indestructible.
can you do an aerial view to show the whole course? just for point of reference?
The Section Just Before 16:00 In Motocross Are Called Whoops
in some ways, you remind me my Jeremy Clarkson
13:16 why's that ?
Love this!
Stop flooring it while mid-air, that's TERRIBLE for the temps!
EvilMcSheep didn't he say in the video he has to floor it if the car can?
1:50
Heating up the engine in the air is pretty much the opposite of driving as fast as he can :D
Though... using the throttle does move the front up just a tiny bit, so that can be useful at times, but there still was a lot of waste with the van... I reckon that he could probably have made it to the end of the lap without the crazy revving.
That's the point, he does it to all of them. You could say driving really slowly over rough parts would be faster too, but that's not the point.
True...
But death by overheating is probably the least interesting way for a car to go out here and testing the structual aspect is far more interesting than seeing how radiator damage affects the engine.
I'd rather have the cars NOT take undeserved heat and last a few more jumps!

But FailRace you want your footage to be FIRE. Thats a proven route to mad stacks *bass intensifies*
So how do you like your moonhawk, medium rare or char-grilled?
Alex, I recreated your video (LeTurd, Covet, Burnside and Sunburst - though I used an FWD version), and I got massively different results. The LeTurd lasted about the same, whereas the Covet kept chugging along onto a second lap before dying. The Burnside lasted two and a half laps before it died, and the Sunburst lasted a little over two laps.
What does this mean? We have different driving styles, and I am more careful with these cars.
GoredonTheDestroyer he said the goal was not to baby the cars. Anyone can do that.
The thing is, though, while Alex is just going balls to the wall all over the place, I'm more careful, while still driving aggressively. If I know my car can't make it over a jump, I don't force it to go over the jump.

That... Is a really good idea.
GoredonTheDestroyer indeed it is, but it makes the fps drop a little and it's not as consistent, to be honest it wouldn't be that big of a difference
Hey everyone, have a great day and stay for more the other day..
'ah fuck it ill start again'-alex 2017
Yass i love this!
I love this
I remember this from rigs of rods!!
People should make more classic ar mods for video games, you dont see them very often
I wonder if he's gonna send the Auriga heron from the beam ng rally series down this course of destruction
The Heron, unfortunately, is broken as of the Driveline update (0.8.x). On top of that, it wouldn't fit with the challenge, as vanilla vehicles, and mods associated with them, are the only vehicles allowed on this course.
2:15 your going to hit the landing of the jump very hard with your face
Ghost Rider wants his car back !
