2 episodes in and they've introduced like 35 characters, this is gonna be a fun ride, lol. I also laugh at some of the old phrases that are always used in imperial C-dramas. I know "being tired" is not literal but more of a polite way to leave a situation, but it's funny when you think about it literally. Getting your hair done is exhausting, watching someone sing is exhausting, having a chat is exhausting, everything is bloody exhausting and the ladies need to nap all the time, lmfao.
Although Madame Lou is strict to the three girls but you see how she protects the Lou sisters. Madame Lou knows that Shiyi is better to be the wife of Marquis when the first wife passed away. So the Ladyship plan it well to protect her son and is the same Lou who can take care of him
Erniang saw Lianfang and immediately became insecure. If she was chosen as the Marquis's wife, there's no way she would have been strong enough to go against Lianfang
Not going to lie, it always cracks me up that they can tell anything by listening to the heartbeat. The exact kind of poison used, a specific disease, pregnancy, anything 😆
A hole in the heart, a kidney or gall stone, having 1 tine kidney & regular kidney, just have 1 kidney, infected pericardium sac around the heart......a pulse check in the wrist, doubtful without a stethoscope to check heart & breath tones 🤷♀️ Even the ancient Romans had a stethoscope before the rest of the world caught up.
I watch this because of Wallace Chung. This drama is better than I thought. So far I like all the female characters. Of course, Wallace Chung's character is very charming also.
On first impression after watching the 1st episode , ( first time watching Wallace Chung and other concubines acting skills) Being a seven tan fan, the drama looks interesting. Wallace actually 46 looks younger for sure , still for first time onlookers he surely looks too gigantic and senior for the cute little seven tan. Seven tan showing some serious side of her acting skills. The fact that Wallace already has 3 wives and kids are an off at the beginning of the drama. Wouldn’t like seven tan to marry an already married man. Yet expecting the series to be interesting and not depressingly sad drama.
I actually don't really mind age gap if the relationship is an healthy one. When it comes to the fact that he has three wives, I was suprised at first, but I'm still curious of how this is gonna play out.
Ofcourse there is nothing wrong abt age gap in relationship I agree. It’s personal to everyone. The thing is I have never seen seven tan act with a senior actor. Being this the first drama Iam watching with their cast it looks different. Also seven tan marrying an already married guy seems unsettling only becas me being a fan of seven tan. 😊 Never seen any drama of Wallace yet. This drama looks interesting though. Except the wives continuous internal politics.

The original novel is more complicated, a lot more characters and every character is special and realistic, the drama sucks compare to the novel. The drama changed a lot compare to the original story

I think Marquis's wife is setting that girl up to be a concubine because she doesn't want her as the main wife after she dies since she knows her mother in law favors her while Shiyi is being set up to be the main wife. Current wife is really planning future things out. I abhor evil concubines. Erghhh.

In those 2 weeks of isolation, he watched the previous 2 programs of Street Dance, studied information of all 400 contestants, self-learned street dance which is new to him and read scripts. 看完孤芳不自赏追过来的，钟汉良演技真心不错，中间还追看了何以笙箫默，很赞，镇北王印象很深，和baby搭戏很配，要是baby改掉瞪眼的毛病其实颜值是很抗打的和钟汉良配戏很搭
我也喜欢孤芳 要是baby 有演技 就完美了。但是在外形上 两个人还是很养眼
去年看完錦心似玉之後，已追完“孤芳不自賞”了，非常好看，鍾漢演技真好，Baby也沒有傳說中那麽差，值得一追
