As you look upon star filled sky of little planet's "good future" and down to the time stone in the palm of your hand you wonder "where are all those poor animals i saved?"... "TARGET SPOTTED!" . just then you're interrupted by some metallic foe seeming more advanced then before. sharpened metal, spiky quills and smoke coming for the flames that burned literally in it's head and heart as if it has... a job that must be done. you scatter before this metal monstrosity can touch you. it engages you in a intense chase as it hurdles itself at you as fast as it can. eventually it just starts to... slow down? you quickly turn your attention to none other than the villainous Doctor Ivo Robotnik, but he doesn't quite look the same... he seems bloated (more so than usual) and his face turned red? with his eyes and lips nowhere to be seen. brushing this off you taunt the mad scientist on his failing robot. "you don't even know your fate hedgehog" he says as he laughs manically. you suddenly get a very bad feeling and start to speed up. as you're running you look and see that the "bucket of bolts" is flying at top speeds ahead of you, it's a trap! you decide to keep playing along knowing that Robotnik can't win now that his trick has been foiled. the he starts to slow down, realizing whats about to happen you pretend to let your guard down while taunting him. as the blistering piece of machinery charges toward you you quickly jump out of the way. you taunt the robot far its unsuccessful ambush and chuckle toward yourself. "THE DOCTOR REQUESTED HIS MEAL! AND I WILL BE THE ONE TO COOK IT RIGHT UP FOR HIM!" you brush it off as you decide it's time to kick this off to high gear! you call upon power of the 6... 7?! Chaos Emeralds hoping they can do something about the current situation, but instead of bestowing power back to the land it bestows their power upon... YOU?! you feel a rush of energy flowing through your veins. you feel like you can run up mountains, float on clouds, and run as fast as light, everything feels possible now! but right now you have only one goal in mind, save little planet, and stop the nefarious scientists plans. this was it, a race against time and the most monstrous being on the planet! you rush and soar above the racetrack floor dodging and evading the "rust buckets" attempts to grab you. you can see its eyes start to flicker, it starts to slow down but it goes limp and parts are undoing themselves. that "thing" won't be doing anymore harm for what's to come. your power slowly starts to fade, thats ok though you had your fun. you taunt the doctor one last time while clutching the time stone you collected. "HEDGEHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!" the doctor screams as you rush off. why was he so desperate to capture you this time?, where are all the animals? and what happened to Amy Rose? you ponder on these questions while you head for the next zone in hopes to create a better future...
Theres a minor detail I noticed, when Furnace is going bellow sonic to set up the trap, sonics eyes drift down, seeing furnace and letting him know the trap is coming, this is what saves him.
Your mostly right but the sonic in this version of prey used the time stones in his AU after learning he will die to starved,so basically he decided to use the stones to go to the future and escape starved which is why this time he already knows that furnace will sneak under him; so now sonic knows what's coming
Fun fact: Certain chemicals and minerals can cause different colors of flames to occur. Potentially this could be seen as Furnace having lots of different spices and minerals inside him to cook 'meals' with, and the chase is so high speed his overheating body is bursting some of the containers making the colors just -radiate- from him.
Everyone talks about how Sonic does look below and notices furnace But I don't think anyone pointed out how starved chart dissapears in that instant while Sonic looks down. This just proves Sonic is downright ignoring Starved and focusing on Furnace. The chart only comes back up again once Sonic notices where furnace is waiting for him and readys himself to dodge him.

I honestly love the little detail starting at 3:33 where he actually looks at Furnace, unlike in the original where he didn't see him, showing that this time Sonic knew Furnace was coming and was ready for him.

For those of you saying this isn't the good ending because Starved has already eaten a lot of animals, the time stones are still out there. Presumably now that Sonic is alive, he can defeat Starved, get those stones and reset everything.
the victory is merely bittersweet if you remember the context. Sonic still never finds the animals, and he's been lured to Little Planet with no Amy in sight. The Doctor doesn't stop in his feast merely because he craves Sonic's flesh above all else, he simply considers them appetizers in preparation for the main course.
True, but this gives Sonic a golden opportunity. Now that the cycle is broken, Starved will doubtless make mistakes out of desperation to reclaim what he lost. Mistakes Sonic can exploit, especially once he realizes how far Starved will go, which will probably prompt him to use the Chaos Emeralds to ensure a win. And once he has the Time Stones, all of this can be prevented.

Funnily enough, RGB furnace is theoretically possible. By burning certain metals, it can make fires glow in unnatural hues! (For instance, burning copper makes fire turn green!)

Way better than most if not all of those "Prey Good future" i've seen by a long shot. Sonic acts like the actual Classic Sonic instead of 2010's pasted in the original song, the Super Sonic section its not just a part of the song merely pitched up, its its own part with a cutscene and everything. An outstanding job i must say.
i like to imagine if it were actually implemented, you'd have to go off-chart and actually miss a few notes, holding down to look at furnace as it passes by, and you'd get the good ending
Maybe the idea could be nerfed for full combo'ers to where the notes still get pressed while you are holding down to look at Furnace at the certain point

I think what's interesting that most don't think too much about is how Furnace was not meant to be a killing machine, he was made to cook after capturing. I imagine he can only barely keep up with sonic, and that's while using all of its power. While sonic is in sonic speed i imagine that furnace is using all of its power just to keep up to speed... So after this I imagine that Furnace would overheat from exerting itself, leaving Robotnik vulnerable. Sonic already has an advantage over eggman now that he has the chaos emeralds. If we take into account how furnace, a robot made to capture but not exactly to be fast, is overexerting itself to the point it wont be able to function then that makes another advantage. I think its very likely that it would break down from "going into overdrive", hell its just a glorified oven. Its not as slim as metal sonic and its kinda clunky, although still sick as hell.
Tbh, him overheating from going so fast would explain why he goes from pink fire idle to white fire idle very quickly in the last section. (BTW, I mean why he is blasting pink flames, then blasting white ones, did ya notice that?)
I love to think that, because it's a Good Future, Eggman machines became more "goofy", being the reason why Furnace changes from his normal colors to something more hopeful and bright
another reason why his fire was blue is because he was going to fast, and using too much heat, which blue fire is the hottest type of fire existing, so furnace must've been overheating

Im gonna be honest. I feel the super peelout running animation would fit better in the first furnace bit as thats when sonic is focusing on speed the most and the normal running animation should be used for starved's section as he's focused not so much on speed but taunting starved

@@thedragongamer6877 yeah the second one is more or less what i was saying, but the situation with Starved only makes sense if he has Furnace purposefully slow himself down to trick Sonic into thinking he's out, if Furnace was really as slow as he was in the start of Prey then he wouldn't have been able to speed in front of Sonic during a peel out but he does. Eggman tricked Sonic into going faster and into underestimating Furnace to get the kill originally. All of this can be inferred through the sprite workd snd situation
In my fair opinion,I see that he sped up to make sure he has the "victory" (Which he doesnt) when he realized how terrifying and demonic starved was,once he began to slow down,then he taunted starved,as if he was to slow down,instead of having sonic speed into furnace,starved would need to make a plan to sneak attack sonic
Each main freestyle song should give you a chaos esmerald for completing it with the score A or above, colecting all of them would give you the good ending of this song.

Man let's get something clear This isn't "the good ending" it's the real ending because the reason he survived furnaces trap is because furnace thinks he knows everything sonics gonna do BUT that's not gonna help him since sonic knows everything Furnace's going to do Strange isn't it.
The only gripe I have with this mod is the fact that the screen scrolling doesn’t really increase in speed when Sonic speeds up against Staved and as Super Sonic.
I noticed that when Furnace is going under the speedway to set up the trap, Sonic's eyes start looking below, wich is probably the reason he could dodge Furnace in time, i also love the new addition of Super Sonic, it was truly epic!
Some details Ive noticed that's kind of neat that a lot of people seem to not pick up on yet: Furnace's eyes are, if Metal Sonic's design is anything to go off of, *a screen* similar to a TV screen. His losing icon eludes to this, being very similar-looking to the SMPTE color bars, or the 'rainbow error bars' which are usually seen on TVs from the 80s and 90s, right when Sonic hit the scene. Near the end, Furnace's and Starved's charts dont even appear, and after Furnace falls behind, Starved starts notespamming (out of anger i would assume) but Sonic doesnt care, he sings to his OWN beat; Nothing can stop him from escaping, not even his nemesis and his machine.
blue fire only occurs when there are certain minerals being burnt, and it's even hotter than regular fire. this implies that furnace is giving it EVERYTHING he possibly has, but just can't keep up with the blue blur himself.
I do remember how in the beginning, Furnace was blasting blue blazes. Would've been a nice detail if Sonic was sweating while he was being chased by furnace. Being at least a yard away from a campfire is already hot, now imagine being only a few feet away from a mechanical beast, which is blasting blue blazes to keep up. Also, in normal prey, Sonic's face probably melted when Furnace dashed into him, since metal is insanely hot when fire, or solar rays even, lap against it. Youch!
I really love the details in this, from Sonic noticing Furnace under him which saves him, to Furnace trying to desperately grab sonic. Overall, nice to see a good ending!

Furnace and Starved’s theme, may I tell you! Furnace’s part alone in the original Prey (Good Future is a remix) is good enough, but then Starved just says "hi chat" and makes the song even better. Good Future however, is a completely new story on the banger level. Prey is so FUCKING good!

I honestly think Prey should have been just a battle between Furnace and Sonic, with Starved appearing around the end for a cameo but not singing, maybe he'd just be chillingin the background. Then have Fight or Flight as a song with JUST Starved as the opponent.
One flaw with this is why Sonic can go Super, this takes place during CD, before Sonic 2. My personal headcanon? Sonic uses the Time Stones to fast forward his body to a certain point of time where he IS Super.
"You don't know your fate hedgehog" is probably referring that the bad future ending is canon to this but Starved reset the timeline with the stones to eat Sonic again, but when a reset occurs, everything and everyone return to the point where the user of the stones resetted, even the stones, except that the user knows what will happen and remembers everything. That doesn't mean things cannot change, in this timeline Sonic meets Tails before the events of the Bad Future, so Eggman reset before he ate Sonic but right after he started eating animals. Sonic HAS to meet Tails in these events as he turns Super at the end of the song that means he knows about the 7th emerald which was located on West Side Island(Tails isn't necesary for these events to happen, Sonic could have just collected the emeralds all on his own and fly his own plane to the Death Egg directly and skipping Wing Fortress), the 7 chaos emeralds are said to distort time and space making the timeline to change "Chaos is power, power is enriched by the heart, the heart controls the power." This phrase explains why Sonic still has the Chaos emeralds even after using them in Sonic 2, in this timeline the heart of Sonic is stronger than the canon one as in these events the animals are actually dying making it so the heart of Sonic is stronger here than normal canon one making Super Sonic stronger and being able to alterate the timeline even more, and also the Chaos emeralds can just decide to not scatter as seen in Sonic 3 in which Sonic still has the emeralds after using them in Sonic 2, in this timeline, Sonic doesn't have the need to scatter the emeralds like he does everytime. So in Sonic CD he wields the 7 Chaos Emeralds, so the giant rings(the emeralds can attract other emeralds or things with chaos power)appear even without the 50 rings so Sonic can collect and even then Sonic doesn't need the stones because the emeralds alredy alterate space and time so Starved can't reset the timeline because of Sonic wielding the Chaos emeralds making him inmune to the Time Stones time altering effects. Also, since the Chaos emeralds alterate time they could also make good futures or transport Sonic to the past to destroy the generators and Furnace Sonic holograms. If Sonic managed to meet Tails: After Stardust Speedway, Tails comes to help Sonic to defeat Eggman once and for all as Tails has been collecting the Time Stones on the side reverting Robotnik before he ate that animal. Tails has to be collecting the Time Stones because if he met Sonic then he knows about the Emeralds and how to detect Chaos Power, also detecting the Time Stones before Starved and going off to collect them while Sonic fixes the future, "Then why didn't Starved become normal Eggman?" Why isn't Sonic dead? The future stages happen a long time after Sonic visits them, whenever you visit a time you do not change. If Tails didn't wield the Time Stones: They beat Eggman, Sonic 3 and Knuckles happen, Knuckles loses atleast 1-2 parts of his body, Sonic kills Eggman while they're in space, and they loot his body for the Time Stones. If Tails doesn't have the Time Stones then Eggman has them but cannot revert because their power is inferior to the Chaos Emeralds+Sonic's strong willed heart. If Sonic doesn't meet Tails and has the Time Stones: Sonic just reverts Eggman back to before he ate the animal but he sadly doesn't meet our furry friend because Sonic wouldn't know how to revert one specific person and he just reverts to Sonic 1 and doesn't meet Tails because he knows what happens or because he doesnot know how to revert a single person he just kills Robotnik and chills. If Sonic doesn't meet Tails and doesn't have the Time Stones: Either. He meets Tails, explains everything and same happens if Tails didn't have the Time Stones(Sonic kills Eggman but doesn't revert him because they wouldn't have as much knowledge of the Time Stones.) Or Sonic just kills Eggman the first time he sees him.
A detail that'd be cool to add would be if during the Super Sonic chase scene, the screen was scrolling faster, until he turns normal again 5:11 . But all in all, it's great, I love the detail of Sonic noticing Furnace, and you should make a sequel which is a cover of Final Escape.
I just noticed that at first furnace has blue flames. If I'm correct blue flames are stronger than regular fire. But then his flame turns different colours and in his idle it isn't fire coming out, it's smoke. I'm guessing part of furnace broke which caused the smoke and chemicals to release into the flames which caused the fire to change colour.
I love all the little details here, sonic noticing furnace and ignoring starved, able to dodge the trap. Also the fact that sonic clearly hasn’t used super before in this timeline, and because of that is just using it to get away. If he actually knew what he could do with super sonic he could clock furnace into the next dimension and deal with starved easily. Its really well made!
Headcanon: Starved has all the Time Stones...he can actually re-start this race indefinedly because of that, trying to catch Sonic. But Sonic notices that, so he manages to break free from the loop, taking down Starved and Furnace before they went back. 7:10 And then, Starved Eggman crashes, and Furnace gets melted by overheat, letting Sonic escape. He stops running for a moment looking back. Eggman's vehicle it's on fire, consuming the body of his rival, putting an end for his life one and for all. In front of it, there's the Time Stones that Eggman had. Sonic gets all the Time Stones with a deep feeling of grief because he didn't wanted to kill that guy. But there was no other choice...so he just restores Little Planet to what it was before all this madness, and leaves, feeling sorrow for what happened.
I like how furnace tried to fly under sonic without him noticing, but sonic watched him fly under him and pretended like nothing happened to troll eggman and furnace because that's a part of his character.
I just noticed but the amount of time from when sonic turns super to when he turns back to normal sonic is 50 seconds witch means sonic had just enough rings on him to go super. Amazing detail

I do like how the "Do I smell.. Smoke..?" line gives context as to how Sonic was able to notice him in this version. If Sonic could smell the smoke while running away, there's no way he wouldn't notice it when Furnace kicks it into overdrive and passes him.
This was amazing! Though there's a discrepancy in that Sonic is using the Chaos Emeralds to transform into Super Sonic, when in Sonic CD, he was collecting the Time Stones. What could've been used is the fan-adopted Time Stone transformation known as Miracle Sonic. Sonic's dialogue before transforming could be "But I'm short on time, and that's time better spent on saving Little Planet! Time to whip up a *Miracle* and put you away for good!"
Sonic could have gotten the chaos emeralds before sonic CD since in sonic 3 he already had them and idk if he used them in sonic 4 Also in canon the chaos emeralds can manifest into anyone who needs them (they have a conscience as shown in frontiers) Sonic didn't even need to have them for the emeralds to appear
The incrediblebike9469's story actually inspired me to make my own independent story. Although Sonic isn't starring in this story, the events in this "Prey" video could be used for my own story. Also, if someone here is from Czechia (like I am), and/or knows Czech railways very well, I believe, you'll understand my story pretty well. Pre-video backstory: Back in the Pilsen (Plzeň) main station there was a ČD class 362 (Ace) standing alone without any carriages at the siding, waiting fot it's next task. During standing at the siding, the ČD class 263 (Princess) hauling a semi-express passenger train from Klatovy, arrived at the platform next to the siding, where our Ace was standing. For some reason Ace decided to flirt with Princess, but not knowing, it's not her type. At first Princess tried to politely reject Ace, but Ace was very persistive, at one moment, Princess lost her patience and started furiously ranting at Ace. Meanwhile ČD class 759 (Cyclops) passed by, heard Princess ranting and after realizing, what's happening, decided to stand for Princess and tried to force Ace to leave Princess alone. He suceeded and Ace stopped it. But after that, Princess said, Ace needs to be "punished" for being a "p3rvy dork." This actually triggered Ace's PTSD and after remembering, how ČD class 162 (Persian) rammed into Ace repeatedly to "punish" it for denying, that Aces (ČD class 362) and Persians (ČD class 162) are "brothers," Ace got scared and fled from the station. Princess then ordered Cyclops to catch Ace and bring him back to Pilsen. During his chase, Cyclops convinced ČD class 242 (Tin man) and ČD class 380 (Messerschmitt) to help him chase Ace. 0:00 The scene begins with ČD class 362 going on track, heading to Prague via Beroun. 0:13 ČD class 362 (Ace): Jeez. Princess is such a snowflake. Punishing me over a flirting? Gimme a break! ČD class 242 (Tin Man): There you are, Ace! ČD class 362 (Ace): What the...? This is a DC territory. *notices ČD class 759 (Cyclops) catching up on it and positioning himself next to Ace* Hey Cyclops, looks like you chose the wrong loco as your minion! Looks like somebody's giving up early doesn't... *notices Messerschmitt hitting brakes and swerves into the track next to Messerschmitt to dodge him* Whoa hey! Cyclops gets scared by this and hits the brakes* ČD class 362: See you later both of you. Also looks like you boiled your engine Cyclops, you should get it checked and get a new coolant. ČD class 759 (Cyclops): I'LL GET YOU ONE DAY ACE!

I feel like I’m the beginning when sonic says “huh? Do I smell… smoke?” He should be startled and say “ I smell it, smoke…” cause I feel that he knows what’s causing the smoke.
I think him saying the normal line makes it better. It shows that he isn't gamiliar enough with Furnace to realize he caused all of the animals to disappear (in the story, he's only familiar with Furnace killing Amy and Frank the Flyong Squirrel). But the second he does see Furnace, any confusion is replaced with anger and focus. Note how, despite singing, he completely ignores Starved when he sees Furnace flying below him. He only starts cracking jokes after he speeds past Starved and knows to dodge Furnace.

"TARGET SPOTTED!" . just then you're interrupted by some metallic foe seeming more advanced then before. sharpened metal, spiky quills and smoke coming for the flames that burned literally in it's head and heart as if it has... a job that must be done. you scatter before this metal monstrosity can touch you. it engages you in a intense chase as it hurdles itself at you as fast as it can. eventually it just starts to... slow down? you quickly turn your attention to none other than the villainous Doctor Ivo Robotnik, but he doesn't quite look the same... he seems bloated (more so than usual) and his face turned red? with his eyes and lips nowhere to be seen. brushing this off you taunt the mad scientist on his failing robot. "you don't even know your fate hedgehog" he says as he laughs manically. you suddenly get a very bad feeling and start to speed up. as you're running you look and see that the "bucket of bolts" is flying at top speeds ahead of you, it's a trap! you decide to keep playing along knowing that Robotnik can't win now that his trick has been foiled. the he starts to slow down, realizing whats about to happen you pretend to let your guard down while taunting him. as the blistering piece of machinery charges toward you you quickly jump out of the way. you taunt the robot far its unsuccessful ambush and chuckle toward yourself. "THE DOCTOR REQUESTED HIS MEAL! AND I WILL BE THE ONE TO COOK IT RIGHT UP FOR HIM!" you brush it off as you decide it's time to kick this off to high gear! you call upon power of the 6... 7?! Chaos Emeralds hoping they can do something about the current situation, but instead of bestowing power back to the land it bestows their power upon... YOU?! you feel a rush of energy flowing through your veins. you feel like you can run up mountains, float on clouds, and run as fast as light, everything feels possible now! but right now you have only one goal in mind, save little planet, and stop the nefarious scientists plans. this was it, a race against time and the most monstrous being on the planet! you rush and soar above the racetrack floor dodging and evading the "rust buckets" attempts to grab you. you can see its eyes start to flicker, it starts to slow down but it goes limp and parts are undoing themselves. that "thing" won't be doing anymore harm for what's to come. your power slowly starts to fade, thats ok though you had your fun. you taunt the doctor one last time while clutching the time stone you collected. "HEDGEHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!" the doctor screams as you rush off. why was he so desperate to capture you this time?, where are all the animals? and what happened to Amy Rose? you ponder on these questions while you head for the next zone in hopes to create a better future...

Your mostly right but the sonic in this version of prey used the time stones in his AU after learning he will die to starved,so basically he decided to use the stones to go to the future and escape starved which is why this time he already knows that furnace will sneak under him; so now sonic knows what's coming
Fun fact: Certain chemicals and minerals can cause different colors of flames to occur. Potentially this could be seen as Furnace having lots of different spices and minerals inside him to cook 'meals' with, and the chase is so high speed his overheating body is bursting some of the containers making the colors just -radiate- from him.

But I don't think anyone pointed out how starved chart dissapears in that instant while Sonic looks down. This just proves Sonic is downright ignoring Starved and focusing on Furnace. The chart only comes back up again once Sonic notices where furnace is waiting for him and readys himself to dodge him.
The enemy chart also disappears during the supersonic part, implying by then he understands he needs to focus on just getting out of there

Way better than most if not all of those "Prey Good future" i've seen by a long shot. Sonic acts like the actual Classic Sonic instead of 2010's pasted in the original song, the Super Sonic section its not just a part of the song merely pitched up, its its own part with a cutscene and everything.

I think what's interesting that most don't think too much about is how Furnace was not meant to be a killing machine, he was made to cook after capturing. I imagine he can only barely keep up with sonic, and that's while using all of its power. While sonic is in sonic speed i imagine that furnace is using all of its power just to keep up to speed... So after this I imagine that Furnace would overheat from exerting itself, leaving Robotnik vulnerable.
Sonic already has an advantage over eggman now that he has the chaos emeralds. If we take into account how furnace, a robot made to capture but not exactly to be fast, is overexerting itself to the point it wont be able to function then that makes another advantage. I think its very likely that it would break down from "going into overdrive", hell its just a glorified oven. Its not as slim as metal sonic and its kinda clunky, although still sick as hell.
Tbh, him overheating from going so fast would explain why he goes from pink fire idle to white fire idle very quickly in the last section. (BTW, I mean why he is blasting pink flames, then blasting white ones, did ya notice that?)
I love to think that, because it's a Good Future, Eggman machines became more "goofy", being the reason why Furnace changes from his normal colors to something more hopeful and bright

Im gonna be honest. I feel the super peelout running animation would fit better in the first furnace bit as thats when sonic is focusing on speed the most and the normal running animation should be used for starved's section as he's focused not so much on speed but taunting starved

Eggman tricked Sonic into going faster and into underestimating Furnace to get the kill originally. All of this can be inferred through the sprite workd snd situation

I noticed that when Furnace is going under the speedway to set up the trap, Sonic's eyes start looking below, wich is probably the reason he could dodge Furnace in time, i also love the new addition of Super Sonic, it was truly epic!
Some details Ive noticed that's kind of neat that a lot of people seem to not pick up on yet:
Furnace's eyes are, if Metal Sonic's design is anything to go off of, *a screen* similar to a TV screen. His losing icon eludes to this, being very similar-looking to the SMPTE color bars, or the 'rainbow error bars' which are usually seen on TVs from the 80s and 90s, right when Sonic hit the scene.
Near the end, Furnace's and Starved's charts dont even appear, and after Furnace falls behind, Starved starts notespamming (out of anger i would assume) but Sonic doesnt care, he sings to his OWN beat; Nothing can stop him from escaping, not even his nemesis and his machine.
blue fire only occurs when there are certain minerals being burnt, and it's even hotter than regular fire. this implies that furnace is giving it EVERYTHING he possibly has, but just can't keep up with the blue blur himself.
I do remember how in the beginning, Furnace was blasting blue blazes. Would've been a nice detail if Sonic was sweating while he was being chased by furnace. Being at least a yard away from a campfire is already hot, now imagine being only a few feet away from a mechanical beast, which is blasting blue blazes to keep up. Also, in normal prey, Sonic's face probably melted when Furnace dashed into him, since metal is insanely hot when fire, or solar rays even, lap against it. Youch!

"You don't know your fate hedgehog" is probably referring that the bad future ending is canon to this but Starved reset the timeline with the stones to eat Sonic again, but when a reset occurs, everything and everyone return to the point where the user of the stones resetted, even the stones, except that the user knows what will happen and remembers everything.
That doesn't mean things cannot change, in this timeline Sonic meets Tails before the events of the Bad Future, so Eggman reset before he ate Sonic but right after he started eating animals. Sonic HAS to meet Tails in these events as he turns Super at the end of the song that means he knows about the 7th emerald which was located on West Side Island(Tails isn't necesary for these events to happen, Sonic could have just collected the emeralds all on his own and fly his own plane to the Death Egg directly and skipping Wing Fortress), the 7 chaos emeralds are said to distort time and space making the timeline to change "Chaos is power, power is enriched by the heart, the heart controls the power." This phrase explains why Sonic still has the Chaos emeralds even after using them in Sonic 2, in this timeline the heart of Sonic is stronger than the canon one as in these events the animals are actually dying making it so the heart of Sonic is stronger here than normal canon one making Super Sonic stronger and being able to alterate the timeline even more, and also the Chaos emeralds can just decide to not scatter as seen in Sonic 3 in which Sonic still has the emeralds after using them in Sonic 2, in this timeline, Sonic doesn't have the need to scatter the emeralds like he does everytime. So in Sonic CD he wields the 7 Chaos Emeralds, so the giant rings(the emeralds can attract other emeralds or things with chaos power)appear even without the 50 rings so Sonic can collect and even then Sonic doesn't need the stones because the emeralds alredy alterate space and time so Starved can't reset the timeline because of Sonic wielding the Chaos emeralds making him inmune to the Time Stones time altering effects. Also, since the Chaos emeralds alterate time they could also make good futures or transport Sonic to the past to destroy the generators and Furnace Sonic holograms.
If Sonic managed to meet Tails:
After Stardust Speedway, Tails comes to help Sonic to defeat Eggman once and for all as Tails has been collecting the Time Stones on the side reverting Robotnik before he ate that animal.
Tails has to be collecting the Time Stones because if he met Sonic then he knows about the Emeralds and how to detect Chaos Power, also detecting the Time Stones before Starved and going off to collect them while Sonic fixes the future, "Then why didn't Starved become normal Eggman?" Why isn't Sonic dead? The future stages happen a long time after Sonic visits them, whenever you visit a time you do not change.
If Tails didn't wield the Time Stones:
They beat Eggman, Sonic 3 and Knuckles happen, Knuckles loses atleast 1-2 parts of his body, Sonic kills Eggman while they're in space, and they loot his body for the Time Stones.
If Tails doesn't have the Time Stones then Eggman has them but cannot revert because their power is inferior to the Chaos Emeralds+Sonic's strong willed heart.
If Sonic doesn't meet Tails and has the Time Stones:
Sonic just reverts Eggman back to before he ate the animal but he sadly doesn't meet our furry friend because Sonic wouldn't know how to revert one specific person and he just reverts to Sonic 1 and doesn't meet Tails because he knows what happens or because he doesnot know how to revert a single person he just kills Robotnik and chills.
If Sonic doesn't meet Tails and doesn't have the Time Stones:
Either. He meets Tails, explains everything and same happens if Tails didn't have the Time Stones(Sonic kills Eggman but doesn't revert him because they wouldn't have as much knowledge of the Time Stones.)
Or Sonic just kills Eggman the first time he sees him.

A detail that'd be cool to add would be if during the Super Sonic chase scene, the screen was scrolling faster, until he turns normal again 5:11 . But all in all, it's great, I love the detail of Sonic noticing Furnace, and you should make a sequel which is a cover of Final Escape.

I just noticed that at first furnace has blue flames. If I'm correct blue flames are stronger than regular fire. But then his flame turns different colours and in his idle it isn't fire coming out, it's smoke. I'm guessing part of furnace broke which caused the smoke and chemicals to release into the flames which caused the fire to change colour.
I like how at this point fnf has become a sonic fan game engine

I love all the little details here, sonic noticing furnace and ignoring starved, able to dodge the trap. Also the fact that sonic clearly hasn’t used super before in this timeline, and because of that is just using it to get away. If he actually knew what he could do with super sonic he could clock furnace into the next dimension and deal with starved easily. Its really well made!

Starved has all the Time Stones...he can actually re-start this race indefinedly because of that, trying to catch Sonic. But Sonic notices that, so he manages to break free from the loop, taking down Starved and Furnace before they went back.

And then, Starved Eggman crashes, and Furnace gets melted by overheat, letting Sonic escape. He stops running for a moment looking back. Eggman's vehicle it's on fire, consuming the body of his rival, putting an end for his life one and for all. In front of it, there's the Time Stones that Eggman had. Sonic gets all the Time Stones with a deep feeling of grief because he didn't wanted to kill that guy. But there was no other choice...so he just restores Little Planet to what it was before all this madness, and leaves, feeling sorrow for what happened.
I like how furnace tried to fly under sonic without him noticing, but sonic watched him fly under him and pretended like nothing happened to troll eggman and furnace because that's a part of his character.

I do like how the "Do I smell.. Smoke..?" line gives context as to how Sonic was able to notice him in this version. If Sonic could smell the smoke while running away, there's no way he wouldn't notice it when Furnace kicks it into overdrive and passes him.
This was amazing! Though there's a discrepancy in that Sonic is using the Chaos Emeralds to transform into Super Sonic, when in Sonic CD, he was collecting the Time Stones. What could've been used is the fan-adopted Time Stone transformation known as Miracle Sonic. Sonic's dialogue before transforming could be "But I'm short on time, and that's time better spent on saving Little Planet! Time to whip up a *Miracle* and put you away for good!"
Sonic could have gotten the chaos emeralds before sonic CD since in sonic 3 he already had them and idk if he used them in sonic 4
Also in canon the chaos emeralds can manifest into anyone who needs them (they have a conscience as shown in frontiers)

The incrediblebike9469's story actually inspired me to make my own independent story. Although Sonic isn't starring in this story, the events in this "Prey" video could be used for my own story.
Also, if someone here is from Czechia (like I am), and/or knows Czech railways very well, I believe, you'll understand my story pretty well.
Pre-video backstory: Back in the Pilsen (Plzeň) main station there was a ČD class 362 (Ace) standing alone without any carriages at the siding, waiting fot it's next task. During standing at the siding, the ČD class 263 (Princess) hauling a semi-express passenger train from Klatovy, arrived at the platform next to the siding, where our Ace was standing. For some reason Ace decided to flirt with Princess, but not knowing, it's not her type. At first Princess tried to politely reject Ace, but Ace was very persistive, at one moment, Princess lost her patience and started furiously ranting at Ace. Meanwhile ČD class 759 (Cyclops) passed by, heard Princess ranting and after realizing, what's happening, decided to stand for Princess and tried to force Ace to leave Princess alone. He suceeded and Ace stopped it. But after that, Princess said, Ace needs to be "punished" for being a "p3rvy dork." This actually triggered Ace's PTSD and after remembering, how ČD class 162 (Persian) rammed into Ace repeatedly to "punish" it for denying, that Aces (ČD class 362) and Persians (ČD class 162) are "brothers," Ace got scared and fled from the station. Princess then ordered Cyclops to catch Ace and bring him back to Pilsen. During his chase, Cyclops convinced ČD class 242 (Tin man) and ČD class 380 (Messerschmitt) to help him chase Ace.

*at **5:47** Messerschmitt's traction motors short circuit, forcing him to hit the brakes*
*at **5:54** a thick white smoke starts to emit from the Cyclops' cooling vents, hinting an engine overheat. Cyclops gets scared by this and hits the brakes*

I feel like I’m the beginning when sonic says “huh? Do I smell… smoke?” He should be startled and say “ I smell it, smoke…” cause I feel that he knows what’s causing the smoke.
I think him saying the normal line makes it better. It shows that he isn't gamiliar enough with Furnace to realize he caused all of the animals to disappear (in the story, he's only familiar with Furnace killing Amy and Frank the Flyong Squirrel). But the second he does see Furnace, any confusion is replaced with anger and focus. Note how, despite singing, he completely ignores Starved when he sees Furnace flying below him. He only starts cracking jokes after he speeds past Starved and knows to dodge Furnace.
Something i noticed is at the start, it says "Future" meaning that sonic already knows what's going to happen to him. He's just there to fix it.
