Thank you - why are the Functioning_1 values that replace the missing values in Functioning not the same, if there are replaced with the series mean? It is one mean and the replaced scores should all be the same. This was the case for the motivation variable, but not the functioning variable. I might have missed something....

Hey there, after you replace missing values, and you get a new variable (say Motivation_1), do you delete the old/original variable Motivation, or just leave it? I can imagine you'll have a s lot of duplicate variables which could get confusing?

As you may understand, during the experiment mice were dying with more advanced age and with time the amount of missing values increases significantly. How to analyze this kind of data? Simple repeated measure ANOVA uses casewise deletion, but then I can delete all of my data. Mean or LOCF substitutions may affect the data significantly... WHat to do then? Do you guys have any suggestion?
