Dr. Grande, I’m in my senior year of my Psychology undergrad. THANK YOU immensely for your SPSS tutorials! My textbook sucks and I have to teach myself so your videos are immensely helpful. 😅
Dr. Grande I found your channel initially because of the myka stauffer drama and your coverage on celebrity mental health topics. Now, I'm watching this tutorial for my stats class in my first semester of my MPA program. Funny how youtube works, thanks for the tutorial.
Hi Dr Grande, I have a large data set with a lot of participants refusing to answer questions. As I need to pair some items together via computing variable function, they will negatively impact the total score of the scale. How can I get rid of the refused items? They have already been coding as "99"
"Warnings Not enough cases are accepted. Processing is skipped." Unable to resolve this issue while doing probit analysis, using spss. No missing values are there. How should I overcome this.
Thank you very much or this tutorial. I am wondering if you can can address how to code and analyze Not Applicable (NA) response in Likert scale? I will appreciate your answer.
Hi Todd, many thanks for your missing value teaching., I followed your steps and it was quite helpful. However, am confused with the analysis I did using Descriptive Frequency and on the analysis result table, it shows the missing values by the left side of the analysis. Is that normal? I thought it won't specify there the number of missing values in the analysis since the missing values have been replaced with the data.I will really appreciate your help. Many thanks in anticipation!
Hello Dr Grande! Nice video! Any idea about how to calculate the reliability of a questionnaire in spss if we have missing data in some questions? Is it using the usual cronbach alpha?? And what should be putten in the cells of the missing data in spss?
What if I were coding information like GPA or GRE values? Would I just use the straight 0-4.0 for GPA as my range with no discrete value or would I enter something just in case an entry was transposed or transcribed incorrectly? Same for GRE values?
Sir is there any way to make missing values from a complete datasets ? If anyone knows that please help me . i have some dataset that have more than 50k data.. there i have to make 20-30% missing ..is there any way to delete and put there (-) negative values ?
my prof gave me more than 3 (5) values to make missing , and 4 are positive and not in order, whereas 1 is negative, So i dont get how i'm meant to make them missing...
Very simple and impressive vedio, Dr. I learn a lot from it. I still have confusion. If ask a question from the respondents regarding A. Yes and B. No, and if someone didn't answer to the question then in that situation what I put? Please help me ASAP

5 years later this video helped me a lot! Thank you so much! I hope you are doing great in the present as well!

It cannot get simpler and richer than this. Thanks a lot sir.
Thank you Dr. Gande for enlightening us with your explanatory video :)
What is the point in defining missing values, if it's going to show that you have missing values from the cell just being blank anyhow?
To tell the difference between: missing values that you don't actually have AND values that you forgot to fill in. Maybe?
@@hshogdar6226 yup, pretty much
Thank you very much for explaining in so easy way.
Simply explained, thank you. ^^
Hi Dr. Grande. Thanks a lot for this video. My question is.. Is there a way to define a missing value (discrete) to all variables simultaneously?
I friggin’ wish! I’ve been trying to no avail.
How do you correct missing values for variables such as '' Sex '' ?

I'm in the same situation, have you managed to solve it?

This was very useful, thank you!

Hi. I keep getting warning #3211 even though I have no missing, negative or 0 value in my data. any help?
Hi, what should I do if my missing value becomes 1 even though I set it up to no missing values?

What about last value is missing in numeric column
Could you please also explain about removing a case if it has a lot of missing values?

it is saying I have missing values but I don't?
Check whether you have some empty data boxes highlighted instead of grayed out...
Thanks dr. Grande!
Very useful. Thanks.
You're welcome.
