    how did u get the increase of 40% and the decrease of 20% in 10:48

      from 1.4 and 0.8

      Look at the start of the video again - that explains how to convert percentages to scale factors, eg 60% being 0.6 etc. Now in reverse if you have a scale factor of 0.8 that's 80%. If you start with 100%, that's a reduction of 20%. Same with 1.4, which is 140%, or an increase of 40%.

    how is the sf 0.82

      Imagine you start with 100% of something. Then reducing b 18% means you end up with 82% of what you started with as 100 - 18 = 82 . So we multiply the original amount by 0.82 to get the new amount.
