- Hey everyone, here’s a short timelapse video of a whole year of work! Kuna is a 3rd fursuit made by me. She was my diploma project, she was made as a college mascot. Of course I chose something furry related for my diploma. I was working really hard and I love how she turned out. I’ll upload more videos of her such as suit up and details. How do you shave the fur so cleanly do you have any tips?
@@Mangomakesfursuits-23 I shave fur before cutting it out! It's much easier than doing it already on a base. And I practiced on scraps before working.

Fun fact:
"Kuna" means "marten" in croatian, which makes the fursuit even better.

A TIME LAPSE is this long. I had a 23 sec time lapse that I worked over an hour in for the project, and this is super long
Why didn’t the judges like it?! She looks so cute and the suit is so well done
Not to blame the system BUT… The judges were a bunch of conservative boomers. I feel like they just couldn’t appreciate the work of young students properly, you know what I mean? But yeah also my presentation wasn’t very nice. I don’t really care, I understand that their opinion was subjective. Thanks !

THANKS SO MUCH FOR SUCH NICE WORDS!! I appreciate it. I shave chunks of fur before cutting the pieces out, much easier this way. There’s also a way to hold it properly in your hand, look it up! It should be laying on the fur basically

It’s a pet grooming clipper! Make sure to use a clipper for animals, since the structure of faux fur is similar to animal hair.
@@crayonzii Nooooo cause I was literally gonna screenshot what you said because that shave looked SO SMOOTH AND EFFORTLESS. I do have a pet shaver but it's a cheap Amazon one, I really need to upgrade soon ;-; pleeeaaaase if you see this tell me what brand/type it is!

Thank you ! I made my first suit when I was 14, I’m 20 now. I spend around a year on a full costume.

a cheap brendless PET grooming hair clipper. It does the job but I honestly need a better one

how many hours cost making the fursiut?
That’s hard to tell, but it felt like ~ 25 days. If I worked completely nonstop, it’d be around 25 days.

Don't you know martens, like all mustelids, have 5 digits on each paw? Sucks to keep seeing marts get done dirty by artists not knowing anatomy
I'm planning on making my Skiltaire with 5, but each person can style a suit in any way they'd like as it's their character.
Interesting fact! However using it to put down an artist who expressly spent a YEAR on their art, is not cool. If I was the maker and I realized this after the fact, I probably wouldn't be able to look at the suit for years. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss. Be nice
My fursona is a deer with paws. So what? Anatomy in art isn’t as important as the art itself, and they’ve spent months making that fursuit.
these are man made horrors beyond my comprehension.
Brother trust me, never go to a sports game of any kind, you'll have a heart attack (this is LITERALLY a mascot suit)
