Ooof, that BBD clock whine at the end of the Perkons demo really gave me head-aches. But 10 more years on this planet, and I won’t be able to hear that high frequency anymore. So there’s hope.
I see no reason why it wouldn't be possible. Probably would have to put a cable into the send so it becomes disconnected. Will be nice for summing I guess but of course it's post the analog filters and OD. Could use the bbd on the master send and the compressor. Interesting to squash something together with the other voices :)
After watching every Perkons demo I wouldn’t pay $300 for that thing. The Syntrx 1 on the otherhand sounded great and I’m looking forward to hearing more on the 2.
Most demos are quite over the top. Played some more with it today and when you tame it a bit it's really incredible. But, definitely not for everyone of course
I'd have to spend more time with Syntrx ii. The obvious difference to me is the acoustic nature of the first one where a real spilling reverb resonates with the body and the speakers will feedback themselves etc. It makes it a quirky and weird synth, which I really like about it. Syntrx ii is a bit safer in that regard but also sounded great 👍
@@GATOVERTICAL it has the psycho acoustics part going for it. The speakers and the real spring reverb inside. When speakers get loud, the body of the instrument starts resonating and thereby excited the spring reverb. You can get some very beautiful textures and feedback through that alone
Yeah it's really great. Played more on it today and really got a great groove going. Unfortunately wasn't recording that session. Safe to say, i really would love to own one some day
Really incomparable. Syntakt can simply go to much more different places than perkons. Perkons is really a performance groovebox. Syntakt also but more programming to prepare. Also myeah not really the same thing so incomparable:)
God the Syntrx II and the Perkons would make such an awesome combo. Thanks for covering these awesome machines!
Best jamm on this device I’ve heard so far👽
Thank you! More to come in the future ☺️
Looking foward to the Perkons release. 👍🥰
Pretty sure it’s been out for a year
@@Sequenceserenade Its not out till July. Up for preorder since a few days ago.
Nice one Dave! Thanks for stopping by, was a pleasure to talk to you!
Likewise dude! Was nice to meet up in real life. Keep in touch :)
Ouu my Gosh! Syntrx 2 is just awesome! 💝
Cool demo, thanks Dave. What I'm hoping from the Perkons is hands-on performative fun and it seems all good from that perspective.

Haha yeah, won't be there in the final version obviously
This is a great demo, thanks for the inspiration!!
Oh well. That sounds great. Only a few weeks of long waiting ahead...
Thanks bros 👍🏻😉
This is dope!!!
Nice picks.....best of show. :-)
Dave, can the return on the Perkons channels be used as an audio in for processing?

@@Davemech Thanks. to bad you can't switch it to pre filters. that would be great.
Beautiful machines :)

As a Syntrx owner, could you provide your thumbnail pro and con on the two?

I have a syntrx 1 as well. Love that thing. Are you going to buy a syntrx 2 or too much overlap between the two?
Nah, one is enough haha. One is even more experimental than two. So I'm happy I have it.
@@Davemech why is it more experimental?

PERKONS. Hoooooooly

If only the Perkins and the poly could make a baby...
Bye bye analog bbd ! 👽
